Atlanta Flames 1970`s Butwin team jacket, size large. This is a red
Atlanta Flames 1970’s Butwin team jacket, size large.
This is a red nylon snap front jacket with screened team name and logo on the upper left breast. The jacket has a quilted lining and
three color elastic trim around the neckline, cuffs and bottom. The metal snaps are painted yellow and there are two front slash pockets.
This jacket was manufactured by Butwin and is believed to be team issued. The tag inside matches those found in other Butwin jackets
from the era. While it could have simply been a souvenir jacket, generally speaking Butwin jackets were higher end products. When you
consider that folks in the deep south would not be as likely to purchase an expensive jacket given the warm climate, I am inclined to
believe it belonged to a player, coach or trainer. It was purchased on eBay from a seller in Montreal.
