Problem:
The manufacturer has used an adhesive
binder at all of the seamed areas of this
jacket. When laundered as instructed by
the care label, the adhesive partially
dissolved, discoloring all of the areas
where it was applied ( the seamed
areas).
Responsibility:
The manufacturer’s. The manufacturer has
used an adhesive binder on this jacket that
failed when processed in accordance with
the care label instructions.
Drycleaner:
Explain to the customer that the abovementioned problem may occur when the
jacket is laundered. Because this jacket may
prove to be unserviceable, we recommend
that a signed release of liability be obtained
prior to acceptance.
Recommendation:
If this jacket fails when processed
by the instructions in the care label, it
should be returned to the place of
purchase for a refund or exchange.
