Internship Week, Feb. 2-5 In today’s work world, internships are increasingly important. Internship Week features guest employers discussing their internship opportunities in a variety of industries. Watch your ToroMail for details on upcoming employer visits and programming. Bring your lunch and join us on the lawn at the campus quad. This informative series (on the second Thursday of each month from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, February through April) covers the following topics using written exercises. A certificate of attendance will be issued to students who attend all three: Internships, Feb. 12 This workshop covers why internships are important for your major, where to find these opportunities, and how to benefit most from your internship experience. Personal Branding, Mar. 12 Learn steps for launching your career through smart personal branding techniques, including how to create an online presence, and how to dress for success. Also covers how to prepare a 30-60 second pitch when meeting with an employer. Job Search, Apr. 9 Learn successful strategies for getting a job or internship in a challenging job market.
