Anointing with oil occurs during our sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Orders and the Anointing of the Sick. During the parish renewal we will explore what it means in our every day lives to be “anointed.” The Parish Renewal begins for the entire parish on March 12. Each weekend we will have materials available for your consideration about how we use our Time, Talents and Tangibles . Check out our bulletin and website for a complete overview of the Renewal. We invite you to participate in our renewal and hopefully find ways that assist you in deepening your relationship with the Lord. Parish Ministry Fair March 27 in Griffin Hall from 8 AM to 1 PM Come and see the goodness of the Lord at St. Ann Parish. Representatives from all our parish groups will be on hand to talk with you about the work they do. There is nothing to buy and no pressure to join. Have a complimentary beverage and snack. Children are welcome in the play area while you browse the displays . Door prizes are drawn three times during the fair. Tickets are handed out just for visiting. It is worth the trip to see this bird’s eye view of our church community. Page 7 MEET MADELYN O’HARA By Jen Raker Getting to Know Madelyn O’Hara We warmly welcome Madelyn O’Hara to St. Ann Parish as our new Coordinator for Adult Faith Formation. Originally hailing from Grosse Pointe, Michigan, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Elementary Education from the University of Michigan. She also received a religion certification from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and has earned credits in its Religious Studies Graduate Program. She has three teenagers attending Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford. Local Involvement A current parishioner of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in Limerick, Madelyn was a former parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi in Norristown, where she taught second through eighth grades and served as a Coordinator of Religious Education. Following that, she was the Director of Pastoral Services at Holy Cross and St. Madeleine Sophie Parishes in Philadelphia and has been a substitute teacher at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. Helena Parish in Blue Bell, and St. Titus Parish in East Norriton. Responsibilities Madelyn is responsible for all parish adult formation. This includes coordinating Sacramental Preparation Programs such as RCIA, Adult Confirmation, Pre-Cana and Pre-Jordan as well as working with the Liturgical Ministers. She will also be coordinating First Penance and First Communion for the youth of our parish. As a facilitator of the required Safe Environment Training we will now be able to offer these sessions to all our volunteers who work in parish youth programs. Personal Interests Outside of parish life, Madelyn enjoys art, classical music, movies, theater, running and other outdoor activities. Earlier in life, she was a rower, cross-country skier and ice hockey player. Madelyn is very excited to be working at St. Ann’s. She looks forward to meeting parishioners and serving our parish. Madelyn can be reached at [email protected]. Please notify the Rectory of any changes in your address, phone number or email. If you would like to be removed from our mailing list please email [email protected] or call the Rectory 610-933-3732 to let us know. This will save you from receiving unwanted mail and help us to have more accurate records. Thank You St. Ann’s Newsletter is published by St. Ann Parish Fr. John J.
