Chelsea Piers:
Completed in 1910 as a passenger ship terminal,
it was supposed to be the destination of the ill-fated
ocean liner Titanic. After years of disrepair, it was
turned into a sports and entertainment complex in
the mid-1990s and serves as the New York dock
for Bateaux, Atlantica, Manhattan Elite and Spirit
Cruises.
Empire State Building:
This impressive 1,250-feet tower opened in 1923 and
was the world’s tallest building for 30 years.
World Trade Center Site:
The National September 11 Memorial features two
reflecting pools set within the footprint of the World
Trade Center’s twin towers and the 3000 names of
those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks at this
landmark.
Brooklyn Bridge:
Regarded as one of the greatest architectural
achievements of all time; it was designed by John
Augustus Roebling and constructed between
1869 and 1883.
Statue of Liberty:
A gift to the people of America from the people
of France, “Liberty Enlightening the World” stands
300 feet above New York Harbor. She was built by
sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi.

Frequently asked questions.
Boarding. What are “boarding time” and “cruising time?”
“Boarding time” is the earliest our guests may board the
ship. Typically we begin boarding a half-hour prior to the
“cruise time.” Tickets are picked up at our dockside kiosk
up to one hour before the cruise.
Coast Guard Regulations. Is the vessel Coast Guard
certified?
Yes. All of our ships are Coast Guard certified and maintained
regularly to adhere to strict safety regulations.
Gift Certificates. How can I purchase gift certificates?
Gift Certificates are available from $50 to $400 and may
be purchased online or by calling toll-free 866.817.3463.
Printed gift certificates come with an elegant presentation
holder. We will continue to honor any previously issued
gift certificates that contain a listed expiration date.
Phones. Will my cell phone work on the cruise?
Yes, your cell phone will work on the cruise. For the comfort
of other guests, we ask that cell phone conversations be
held on the outside decks.
Seasickness. Will I get seasick?
It’s unlikely. Our vessels operate in New York Harbor, on the
Hudson River and the East River, which are all calm bodies
of water. What’s more, our ships are very stable, so in most
cases, you can hardly tell that we’re moving.
Weather. Do you sail in inclement weather?
Absolutely. Our ships are fully-enclosed and climatecontrolled for your comfort. We sail rain or shine all
year long.
Tickets. Where can I pick up my cruise tickets?
Tickets can be conveniently picked up at the dock, up to
one hour prior to boarding, on the day of the cruise. The
credit card used for purchase and photo ID will be required.
Refunds. What is your refund policy?
All sales are final, so there are no refunds or exchanges. In
the rare event the Coast Guard prohibits cruising because of
weather, we will contact you to make other arrangements.
Handicap accessibility. Are the ships handicap accessible?
Yes. Our ships can accommodate wheelchairs for boarding
and have handicap restrooms. Please notify us of any
special-assistance members in your party prior to the cruise
so we can provide the appropriate assistance upon arrival.
Attire. What is the dress code?
Bateaux New York –Collared shirts for gentlemen (jackets
requested). For women, cocktail wear, a dress or dressycasual attire. Dark or dressy jeans are acceptable. However,
we strongly recommend no casual jeans, t-shirts, shorts,
athletic shoes or flip flops at any time.
Spirit Cruises – For men, appropriate attire includes slacks
and a polo or button-down shirt. For women, nice slacks,
capri pants or a sundress are recommended. Although
allowed, we strongly discourage collarless t-shirts, casual
jeans, shorts or sneakers.
Children. Are there any age requirements?
Spirit Cruises – Children are welcome on almost all of
our cruises. Children under 3 are complimentary, and a
discount is offered on select Lunch Cruises for children
between the ages of 3 and 12. We do not offer children’s
pricing on Dinner Cruises. On Cocktail and Late-Night
Cruises, passengers must be 21 or older with valid ID.
Bateaux New York – Lunch and Brunch Cruises: Children
under 3 are complimentary, and a discount is offered
on our Brunch and Lunch Cruises for children between
the ages of 3 and 12. Dinner Cruises: Bateaux Dinner
Cruises feature a sophisticated atmosphere. Children
under 4 are not permitted and we do not offer a
discounted rate for children.
