 Haynesfield (2010) is the only horse to wire the JCGC in the last 10
years, beating eventual BC Classic champ Blame in the process.
 Six straight JCGC winners had prepped at Saratoga, but four
consecutive winners lost that previous start at the Spa.
 The trifecta in 5 straight JCGC editions has been made up
exclusively of horses who prepped at Saratoga most recently.
 JCGC also-rans have won the Breeders' Cup Classic in three of the
last four years: Fort Larned (2012), Drosselmeyer (2011), & Blame

 Lava Man (2006) is the only horse to wire the Awesome Again
Stakes in the last 10 years.
 Mucho Macho Man parlayed a win in the Awesome Again Stakes
into a Breeders' Cup Classic in 2013, making him the first horse
to do so since Pleasantly Perfect in 2003.
 Favorites have won the last three editions of the Awesome Again,
and the last five run on dirt dating back to 2005.
