Ford Mondeo has been tested to endure a level of punishment far beyond the
everyday stresses and strains of motoring. Our test vehicles were put through trials
that included opening and closing the doors 84,000 times (including 5,000 hard
slams) and spraying the bodywork with a mixture that replicates salty and acidic
fog. Every Mondeo that leaves the factory is built to withstand these, and many
more, demanding tests.

Offering increased visibility to other road users – particularly in poor weather – the new LED

Our turbo diesel engines are now joined by a new generation of high-efficiency EcoBoost turbocharged
petrol engines, which combine higher power and a broader spread of torque with reduced emissions and
lower fuel consumption.
Engines with greater efficiency and more power, adaptive suspension and the
option of Ford PowerShift transmission make Ford Mondeo more than ever a true
driver’s car.

this advanced rear suspension system allows
each wheel to independently move both upwards

improvements in handling, stability and braking

more efficient and quieter drive, thanks to an
advanced two-stage fuel injection process that
ensures precisely the right amount of fuel is
supplied.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Alert
This enhanced cruise control system adjusts your
speed if the car in front is travelling more slowly,
and returns you to your previously specified
speed once the way is clear. Forward Alert (FA)
provides an audible and visual warning when
there’s a risk of colliding with the vehicle ahead
(Option).
The latest 1.6 Duratorq 115 PS TDCi ECO engine
combines ECOnetic engine technology with AutoStart-Stop, low rolling resistance tyres and sports
suspension to provide CO2 emissions of just
109 g/km.

Ford EcoBoost
With direct petrol injection, turbocharging and variable valve timing, Ford EcoBoost engines deliver power
and torque consistent with larger displacement engines. The 1.6 160 PS EcoBoost Auto-Start-Stop engine
in Mondeo has more power than the previous 2.0 145PS Duratec petrol engine, yet it achieves better fuel
economy and lower CO2 emissions.

Lane Departure Warning
Alerts the driver if they exit their lane on the highway
without using the indicator. Three short vibrations are
sent through the steering wheel, along with a visual
warning in the instrument cluster.

Swivels the low beam headlights by up to 15 degrees

Switches the headlights from high beam to low beam
as soon as it detects oncoming traffic or adequate
street lighting.
When the road ahead is clear, the system
automatically switches to high beam again.

Driver Alert
Uses a road-monitoring camera to assess the
driver’s alertness levels and displays them in the
instrument cluster: a steering-wheel icon represents
an alert driver; a coffee cup means a break is
recommended. If the driver fails to stop, the warning
