The registration deadline is the Wednesday before your camp starts. For full day camps, please
bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle daily. All camp forms are due at registration. The
registration process for camp is not complete until we have all required forms.

Child MUST be pre-registered no later than the week before camp starts and we will not
accept drop-offs or late enrollment. Registration for latchkey is by the week and not available
daily. Camp registration is mandatory before enrolling for latchkey. Early registration
discounts do not apply to latchkey.

Financial Aid Program
This program is designed to assist West Bloomfield families financially by subsidizing the cost of
programs, classes and summer camps for children 17 and under. The Commission will annually
fund a specific amount of money for use as matching funds for the program.

Camp WB is BACK! This action-packed day camp offers arts and crafts
projects, nature exploration, fishing, hiking, sports, games, scavenger
hunts and more! Your camper will experience a variety of weekly
activities including field trips, swimming at the Family Aquatic Center
and trips to Marshbank Park. Our canoeing dates at Marshbank are
June 16th, July 7th, July 28th and August 11th.

Adventure Park Mini-Camp NEW!
Participants will be harnessed and trained to climb through the
challenge courses. Camp includes two hours of climbing and zip lining
with a different one hour nature program daily. Camp runs rain or

Give your child memories and life-saving lessons that will last a
lifetime as they become drivers and pedestrians in our own “mini
town”! We will learn the rules of the road and explore topics such as
bike safety, water safety, poison/drug safety, pet safety, playground
safety and stranger safety.
Lessons will be taught through special guests, role playing, coloring,
projects, songs and parent information sheets. We’ll also take a field
trip to the police and fire station to learn about what they do and
see their cool equipment! Camp includes a bike helmet and t-shirt.
Child must be 5.5 years by the first day the program begins.

Superheroes Quest Camp NEW!
Superhero Training Academy trains youth to become real life
superheroes, discovering inner strength to develop unique
superpowers. Find your superhero identity, create your superhero
suit and embark on secret missions. Participants will become heroes
through character building, creative arts, imaginative play, nature
adventure courses and more! In the end, heroes are put to the test
against a team of supervillains!
Participants need to bring: outdoor adventure clothes, backpack,
blank t-shirt for superhero uniform, extra supplies (optional) for
superhero uniforms (fabric markers/paint, fabric, etc.).

Does your child love to be outside and get dirty digging in the mud
and looking for creepy crawlers? Then this is a great first camp for
him/her. Our naturalist has prepared a variety of exciting activities
that will have your little one learning about nature and having fun
exploring the outside world.
A mixture of stories, songs, hikes, games, animal encounters and
other activities are guaranteed to keep your child engaged. There
will be a take home craft each day too. Each daily session lasts just
three hours to help ensure your child doesn’t feel overwhelmed. This
is the perfect way to introduce your preschooler to the concept of
day camp.

This program enables children to have FUN learning by integrating
K’nex with general knowledge in nature, space, science,
transportation and day to day physics. The program illustrates
theoretical knowledge in these fields through the use of stories,

3D Printing
3D Printing and modeling technology is a fast growing field that
anyone can learn. We use AutoDesk 123D Design to teach kids how
to design three-dimensional models for printing. Campers will learn
how use software to design 3D models and operate 3D printers to
print their projects. This camp uses STEAM teaching and will give kids
the foundation to learn about engineering and design skills. Each
kid will present their final project and receive a Kidpreneur t-shirt.

Minecraft
We use Minecraft to teach information technology, entrepreneurship
and computer programming. The skills they learn in camp can
transfer to other video games and programs. The kids will build,
administer and maintain their own Minecraft server for PVP gaming;
understand how to configure port forward in routers; design a mini
game; and learn about marketing and promoting. Each kid will
present their final project and receive a Kidpreneur t-shirt. Students

Session I
Join the fun and learn some new moves in this full OR half day
camp. In the morning, children will learn proper arm movements,
dance routines, cheers, jumps and stretching. In the afternoon,
basic tumbling will be introduced. Five important components to
be a team player will be taught (i.e. building unity, responsibility,
leadership, discipline/rules and friendship). If choosing the full day
session, campers will focus on both cheer and tumbling. Pom-poms
are free and t-shirts are optional for purchase on the first day of
camp. Wear comfortable clothes and tie athletic shoes. Your child
will have the opportunity to swim the last hour of camp from 2-3, so
please bring swimwear and a towel.

Camp Session II
5
Session II is a continuation of Session I and will follow the same
format. New moves include a new dance routine and six additional
cheers. Children will continue to work on fitness, basic stunting and
our six jumps and motions. Practice will continue on the five basic
tumbling skills that are required to make the cheering squad. Session
I is not required to take Session II.

NEW!
Join us for Detroit City SUP’s Paddle Boarding Camp. The instructors
are PaddleFit Certified as well as first aid and CPR certified. All
equipment will be provided and every paddler will have their own
board. Campers will learn land and water safety instruction, proper
falling and remount and basic paddle technique. Each day, enjoy a
guided paddle tour along the shore of Middle Straits Lake. Once you
learn the basic skills, play games and even try yoga on your paddle
board.
All participants MUST be proficient swimmers. You WILL get wet as
this is the most awesome watersport ever!

Michigan’s premier skateboard camp is designed to challenge all
levels of skateboarders with individual instruction based on ability.
Focus areas of the camp are: safety, tricks, use of the park, skateboard
art and history. Campers will receive a skateboard deck (a $55 value)

Baseball Camp

Campers will learn about baseball in a healthy, fun-filled, competitive
atmosphere. Camp includes: individual instruction at skill stations
(i.e. fielding, throwing, hitting, base coverage), group instructional
drills, two games per day, daily skills competitions and a prize for

All Star Basketball

Non-contact, fundamental football instruction which provides a basic
understanding of the quarterback, running back and wide receiver
position for the child just learning to play the game. Registration

Nike Baseball Camp: August 3rd -6th
Head Baseball Coach from Davenport University, Kevin Tidey, is thrilled

Big Stars
Experienced staff have studied the game at all levels and identified
key techniques that players need to master to reach their true
potential. Camps includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical
practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and a daily
tournament. Equally important, lessons in respect, responsibility,
integrity, sportsmanship and leadership are taught. Each camper
gets a ball and t-shirt.
