Dear Parent/Carer
There are a lot of choices to look at - please help your child to make
sensible choices. As there are 720 pupils to allocate to these activities I
cannot change their choices. I will do my best to make sure they are with
someone they know - this could be their nominated friend or someone
from their tutor group or house, but I am sure you appreciate how difficult
it will be to make sure all 720 are going to be happy! We have a lot of
new experiences on offer so it is important they are aware of what could
be involved - your help in this is much appreciated.
REMEMBER PUPILS, YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK THE LEAD TEACHERS
ABOUT THE ACTIVITY THEY ARE ORGANISING
DON’T FORGET—THE DEADLINE IS FRIDAY 4 APRIL 2014
As so many of the activities offered in the booklet are off site, please could you complete
the permission slip below. It is most important that you tell us about any medical issues
your child might have, and include as many emergency contact details as you can.
If your child is involved with an activity involving swimming you will have to complete a
more detailed permission form for the Local Education Authority.
Please note that all off site activities are covered by the Local Education Authority Policy,
if you would like to know what that covers please contact the Finance Office at school.
You will receive confirmation as to which activity your child is participating in together with
specific details about travel arrangements where relevant.
Activity Day Permission Slip – PLEASE RETURN TO STUDENT RECEPTION
I give permission for my child to participate in off-site activities as part of the High Storrs
Activity day programme. I am aware that it is my child’s responsibility to communicate
details with me about the appropriate activity via letter when required. I also agree to pay
