From the gleam of fast-moving clear water, to the adrenalin rush,
rumble and tumble of rapid action – this is your chance to get in
on the ‘current sensation.’ OWL Rafting, owned and operated by
Claudia and Dirk Van Wijk, national and international whitewater
champions, operates out of Foresters Falls, Ontario, with raft
excursions down the legendary 12 km ‘Rocher Fendu’ rapids of the
Ottawa River. The OWL experience takes place just ninety minutes
from the nation’s capital. Excursions embark 7 days a week, from
mid-May through September.

Prepare to get wet!
The choice of sportrafting and sportyaking is available
on our Deluxe Two-Day Whitewater Vacations or as an
upgrade. These programs offer the more adventurous rafter
a new way to experience the Ottawa River! Sportrafts are
14-foot rafts ideally suited for up to seven rafters and the
guide. OWL’s sportyak program offers the seasoned rafter
a personal whitewater challenge under the watchful eye
of our guides, who provide support kayaks.

Looking for an exciting and affordable family getaway this
summer? Try our Family Rafting Trips on Ontario’s most popular
whitewater runs! You and your family can experience the beauty
of the Ottawa or Madawaska Rivers, ride waves a metre in height,
and you don’t have to paddle. Our specially designed rafts provide
a more stable, comfortable ride, with hand-holds for everyone,
while the guide provides the propelling power and steers through
the rapids. Wildlife and new rapids surprise you around every bend
in the river, so come and join us this summer for an adventure you
and your children will want to repeat again and again.
Madawaska River
The Two-Hour Family Raft Trip on
the Madawaska River winds its way
through five fun-filled kilometres
of beautiful scenery and tumbling
whitewater in the Algonquin Park

The Family Raft Trip on the Ottawa
River combines six kilometres of
beautiful whitewater interspersed with
quiet pools and sandy beaches. Enjoy
a BBQ meal aboard our pontoon boat
during the four-kilometre return trip to
the OWL Centre. Minimum weight: 23 kg.

OWL Resort
Relax, stay overnight and take advantage of the OWL Resort
Amenities include our sauna, showers,
and wash-house for your comfort.
The log pavilion, complete with stage
and fireplace, is used for meals, river
orientations and briefings, and evening
entertainment.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE RESORT
Our Lakeside Centre is the hub and starting point
of all of our activities. Relax, stay overnight,
and take advantage of the many activities. The
beachfront offers kayaks, canoes, pedal boats,
four volleyball courts, play structure, a disc golf
course and lots of sand for just plain relaxing at
the beach.
The 25-acre Resort is nestled on the banks of the
Ottawa River and has a choice of accommodation.
Although the majority of our guests choose to
tent in our campgrounds that boast stunning
waterfront views, cabins are available for rent
for the soft adventure seeker.

Madawaska River
The Madawaska River is justly celebrated
as one of the best places in North America
to learn whitewater skills. Flowing past our
front door, through a forest of pines and
hardwoods, the river’s supply of dam-controlled
water is warm, clean, and dependable all summer long.

Required Reading for all visitors
• Minimum weights: Rafting is 41 kg and family rafting is 23 kg.
• While no prior experience is necessary, we would ask that anyone
with any medical conditions consult their physician and let us
know before joining us.
• We spare no effort to ensure a good experience, but assume
no responsibility for your safety or loss of personal equipment.
In the activities we provide, an element of risk is inherent and
beyond human control.
• All passengers are required to sign a release; a copy is available
to you upon arrival and on our website.
• Vegetarian options are available by reservation. However, we
cannot cater to any other special diets, nor can we guarantee
a peanut-free environment.
• Please note that neither alcohol nor drugs are permitted before
or during the rafting trip.
• As we are not a licensed establishment, you are permitted to
bring your own alcohol.

to Foresters Falls Rd. Turn left and drive
12 km to Foresters Falls. From Foresters
Falls follow signs to OWL Rafting.

Turn right on Storyland Rd. Proceed past
Storyland to stop sign. Proceed straight
through intersection and follow OWL
