Box 351920, Westminster, CO 80035-1920 Our Friends and Thank you to each WSA Junior Tomorrow member for putting together a “Trick or Treat” bag for every Senior Hub Meals on Wheels recipient on Halloween. You selected a great assortment of items inside each bag. Those fun bags are something the clients really enjoy. Each bag contained a variety of items designed to be enjoyed throughout the days ahead. You should be very proud of yourselves for continuing to provide these bags to homebound seniors for over 11 years. Our clients really appreciate being remembered by youth on a day that usually concentrates on kids receiving the “Trick or Treat” bags. We hope that you enjoyed putting the bags together as much as our clients enjoyed receiving them. Thanks again for a great job. The “I Live My Faith” award is a Catholic religious recognition award program for Girl Scouts that began in 1976. It encourages the Girl Scout to look at how she participates as a member of her family and also her parish family by exploring various forms of service to the parish, self and others. The Girl Scout learns to live her faith in everyday life. The award is to compliment and support the parish Religious Education Program. Morgan is twelve years old and in the seventh grade. She is a member of Girl Scout Troop 1222. Many thanks for your generous donation to Cause for Paws. It will help us continue our two-fold mission to: Dear WSA: • Take in unwanted cats, get them tested, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, then find them permanent, loving homes. • Assist in paying for the spay/neuters of pet cats whose owners are unable to pay for the procedure. We are so grateful to you. The Volunteers of, Cause for Paws 7 Spotlight Lodge #41 Preps for the Dinner Dance Toni Smith, Pat McAtee, and Marietta Woolf have a nice start on this basket. Getting organized to start their basket are Carol Ulrich, Roberta Lilja and Dolly Lagerstrom. There is a lot of work to be done before Lodge #41’s Fund Raising Dinner Dance. Members got together to assemble the silent auction baskets and enjoyed each others company at the same time. “Do you think this basket is pretty?” Marlene Zamboni, and Carol and Fred Nelson check out their handiwork. Our three musketeers, Tina Hogancamp, Dolly Lagerstrom and Yolanda Christensen are finished with this basket. “Will all of this fit?” Ruth and George Mazzotti Sr. get it all in. “This is fun,” Cheryl Santangelo and Rita Zupancic put their favorites into their creation. Joyce Havens announces that this basket is ready to go! on WSA Lodge #41 Holds Fund Raising Dinner and Dance Marietta Woolf, Pauline Rhodes, and Jennie Musk enjoy the evening at the Elks. They had fun on the farm rides and then got to pick out their very own Halloween pumpkin. Finding the perfect jack-o-lantern. And the search is on.....a little snow doesn’t stop our intrepid pumpkin hunters. Uh, oh! Looks like Cole and Emma’s parents are in for a fun afternoon. Shannon and Steve pose for a special picture at the farm with Cami. Our busy little girl Cami takes a break in the pumpkin patch. “I found it!” Emma holds onto her perfect pumpkin. Shannon and Cami are ready for a ride. WSA Juniors at Anderson Farms The gang’s all here! Emma, Kelly, Cole and Grandma take a break from the pumpkin patch. “How’s this one?” Ron holds up the flawlessly symmetrical pumpkin he found. Nellie and Maggi stop by the farm market. Cole and Emma show off the scarey jack-o-lantern they carved for Halloween. They picked the pumpkin out at Anderson Farms Our tired and hungry members take time out for a sandwich at the farm. Good eats! Cami, Steve and Margie at the pumpkin patch. Check out the name of the hall! 13 Spotlight on Everyone Always Has a Good Time The Junior Members’ Annual Christmas Party was held at Cinzetti’s Italian Market Restaurant. The wide variety of dinner selections made everyone happy. Just getting together is always fun, but especially during the holidays. John and the Kremer family are ready for fun. Tammy, those boys get taller every time we see them. Noah, Logan and Mom. John visits with everyone, even our littlest members. Cami and her mom Shannon share a meal. John wishes Roger, Jen and Bradley a “Merry Christmas.” Trish and Rick enjoy spending a day with our young members at the Christmas Party. Those pretty smiles on the Thorfinson girls give everyone some Christmas cheer. WSA Juniors at the Tomorrow Member Annual Christmas Party. “Is there room for dessert?” Our Emma and Cole are enjoying their dinner. It’s official . . . Alex is taller than Jen! Steve, Cami and Shannon enjoy this Christmas get together. What a pretty dress Cami is wearing. Molly and Troy pose for a Christmas portrait. Jack Frost The door was shut, as doors should be, Before you went to bed last night; Yet Jack Frost has got in, you see, And left your window silver white. He must have waited till you slept; And not a single word he spoke, But pencilled o'er the panes and crept Away again before you woke. And now you cannot see the hills Nor fields that stretch beyond the lane; But there are fairer things than these His fingers traced on every pane. Rocks and castles towering high; Hills and dales, and streams and fields; And knights in armor riding by, With nodding plumes and shining shields. For, creeping softly underneath The door when all the lights are out, Jack Frost takes every breath you breathe, And knows the things you think about. And here are little boats, and there Big ships with sails spread to the breeze; And yonder, palm trees waving fair On islands set in silver seas, He paints them on the window-pane In fairy lines with frozen steam; And when you wake you see again The lovely things you saw in dream. And butterflies with gauzy wings; And herds of cows and flocks of sheep; And fruit and flowers and all the things You see when you are sound asleep. 15 by Gabriel Setoun PuzzleFun Answers to puzzles on page 11 Financials Period Ending September 30, 2012 LIABILITIES ASSETS BONDS $14,934,088 21,779,449 MORTGAGE LOANS 4,705,286 REAL ESTATE 237,988 CERTIFICATE LOANS CASH & SHORT TERM INVESTMENTS 6,114,288 1,623,157 OTHER INVESTED ASSETS 765 DEFERRED PREMIUMS 344,540 INVESTMENT INCOME DUE INCOME TAX RECOVERABLE 3,938 FURNITURE & EQUIPMENT RECEIVABLE FOR SECURITIES TOTAL ADMITTED ASSETS $49,743,499 TOTAL NON-ADMITTED ASSETS $2,469,182 TOTAL ASSETS $52,212,681 CERTIFICATE RESERVES $33,864,661 3,812,040 AMOUNTS LEFT ON DEPOSIT 45,000 CLAIM RESERVES 35,000 12 MONTH REFUNDS ESTIMATED 30,506 ADVANCE PREMIUMS 81,229 INTEREST MAINT.
