Dental Implant Maintenance for the Dental Hygienist - Erik Sahl, DDS, MSD
This course is meant for the dental hygienist and staff to provide an insight into
common dental implant prosthetics, complication diagnosis, and routine maintenance suggestions which can help lead to long-term success for our patients
Dr. Sahl is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Sahl is an Assistant
Professor, Director Advanced Education Program in Periodontics, LLU School of Dentistry.
Dr. Sahl has won a number of prestigous awards and also maintains a private practice in
the Palm Desert vicinity
Periodontal Diagnosis and Treatment Planning for the Dental Hygienist Arta Farahmand, DDS
This course will discuss parameters for clinical and radiographic findings which
contributes to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Inaccuracies in radiographic findings and the value of three dimensional imaging for accurate diagnosis will be stressed. Relationship between radiographic and clinical periodontal
assessment to bony architecture findings following flap reflection during surgical
treatment will be demonstrated.
Dr. Farahmand is a lecturer in the Pre-Doctoral program - UCLA. Dr. Farahmand is a
consultant with the L.A. Veteran’s Hopsital, Dept. of Periodontology. Dr. Farahmand has
maintained a private practice in Torrance for 24 years.
Contemporary Treatment of the Non-Typical Periodontitis Patient
Dr. Dee Nishimine
Periodontitis, and its progression are influenced by a variety of factors. This
presention will focus on chemotherapeutics and microbial testing in the treatment
of the non-typical Periodontitis patient.
Dr. Nishimine is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Nishimine
maintains a private periodontal practice in Fresno and Saratoga, CA with an emphasis in
implant dentistry, cosmetic procedures and advanced bone grafting.
