2006-07 NBA PLAYER SURVEY: "MR. AVERAGE"

Okay, so your everyday NBA player doesn't boast two slam dunk titles or a rookie game MVP award, nor
does he increase his scoring average every season after posting 14.4 ppg in his rookie season, but, those
accomplishments aside, we've determined that Golden State's Jason Richardson is rather average. In fact,
we couldn't find a more run-of-the-mill player and are awarding Mr. Richardson this year's Mr. Average title
based on the results of a survey of all 30 NBA opening night rosters.
Standing 6'6" -- the league average is 6'6.93" -- and weighing 225 pounds (221.55), Richardson will
celebrate his 26th birthday in January (26.67 years), and has played in five NBA seasons (4.42 seasons).
Seattle's Kareem Rush came close, but he, like the 440 other NBA players, is no more average than
Richardson.

and X4 defend it. X4 hard hedges as X2
sprints over the ballscreen and under the
hedge.
4 and 2 then execute an elbow ballscreen.
The defense reacts. X4 drops and plugs
as X2 chases 2 over the top of the
ballscreen.

The drill is a 2 on 2 drill and in between each
ballscreen action the offense must allow the
defense to reset itself before proceeding on. 2
passes to 4 to reset. X2 and X4 recover.
D
4 and 2 execute a dribble handoff. X2 goes
under the handoff as X4 opens up and lets him
through. At the end of the segment, the defense
is off and two new players defend.

the ball. The other three defenders assume their off
the ball defensive positioning. 2 passes to 4.

On the catch by 4, 3 flashes from the opposite wing to
the high post area. X3 defends the flash cut by not
allowing the cutter to beat him to the spot. The
offense balances back into shell positioning.
