The product range is vast, with engines ranging from
2.3 to 20 liters in displacement, power ratings from 31.5
to 740 kW, longitudinal gears at five and six speed with
maximum torque from 300 to 500 Nm. FPT Industrial
engines are used for both light and heavy commercial
vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery
or various industrial applications, power generation
and marine.
FPT Industrial adopts the most advanced
technological solutions on the market today: innovative
architecture, multi-valve fuel systems, fuel injection
systems, electronically controlled high pressure common
rail and, in some variants, injector pump, boost efficiency
devices with fixed or variable geometry turbochargers,
also doublestage, and sophisticated systems for
emissions’ control.
The current range of powertrains is complete
with versions that use alternative fuels, including natural
gas solutions and solutions compatible with biodiesel
up to 20%. Featuring high-tech content and research of
solutions designed for maximum customer satisfaction,
FPT Industrial engines combine high performance, low
fuel consumption, reduced noise, vibration and operating
costs, with outstanding reliability and durability.

Technological excellence and product innovation for FPT
Industrial is what we leave and breathe; innovation is our
primary strategic mission. The company is focusing its
research and development activities in order to reinforce
its position as an innovation leader in the industrial
powertrain sector and a provider of cost-efficient
powertrain solutions for Euro VI and Tier 4B.
FPT Industrial complies with the new emission limits,
ensuring a minimal impact on the vehicle architecture and
the lowest possible increase in cost. This will be achieved
through HI-eSCR technology, a breakthrough patented
technology that allows our engines to meet Euro VI and
Tier 4B standards without resorting to EGR (Exhaust Gas
Recirculation), guaranteeing a very high NOx conversion
efficiency (over 95% versus 80-85% of best competitors).
To fulfill market requirements for Power Generation
applications, FPT Industrial developed two different
products, respectively compliant with Tier 4A in US
and Stage IIIA emissions levels in Europe. FPT Industrial
Power Generation engines stand out for low emissions
and noise reduction: environmental respect, top priority
for FPT Industrial, finds in Power Generation offer the
perfect match supported by outstanding performance.
The same attention to environment is dedicated to
Marine engines, where low exhaust emissions and noise
levels are ensured, without affecting performance or
sailing pleasure. Designed to meet the specific needs
of high performance with low environmental impact,
marine engines by FPT Industrial are compliant with the
main emission regulations (IMO MARPOL-2003/44/EC –
2004/26/EC – CCNR – EPA).

designed and manufactured for every kind of vehicles (from
light, medium and heavy commercial means of transport to
buses), allowing customers to rely on

The presence of sophisticated electronic
injection systems (last generation

Injector), the use of many air handling
devices (Wastegate, Variable Geometry
and Two Stage Turbocharger) and
the availability of CNG (Compressed
Natural Gas) versions make FPT
Industrial engines for On Road applications the best tradeoff between excellent performance, value for money and

Innovation, performance and constant improvement are
the drivers for our industrial machinery: earthmoving
and construction machinery, agriculture, irrigation and
special machines. Every type of engine
is designed to fulfill the needs of all
Off Road applications, adopting the
most advanced technologies available:
innovative structure, multi-valve systems,
fixed geometry turbochargers with
Wastegate valve, mechanical injection
systems, high pressure Common Rail
injection systems and electronically
controlled nozzle pumps.
Particular attention towards environmental issues is
one of FPT Industrial’s most important parameters. The
already low noise levels of the engines have been lowered
further more, while the innovative internal oil vapour
recycling system (blow-by) prevents their dispersion into
the air. FPT Industrial’s strategy to meet the emission limits
imposed by the Tier 4B/Stage IV regulations is based on
the differentiation of the available technologies in order to
satisfy cost, size and consumption criteria for every single
application. In particular, FPT Industrial offers an external
EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) combined with a DPF
(Diesel Particulate Filter) for the F5 series engines, while for
a more intensive use on all NEF, CURSOR and VECTOR
engine series, it offers a High Efficiency SCR (Selective
Catalytic Reduction) system, which processes exhaust gases
with a catalyzing liquid (DEF/AdBlue). In this way there is
a considerable lowering of all operating and maintenance
costs.
The availability of structural versions for agricultural
applications and non-structural for earthmoving applications,
combined with a wide variety of custom-made engine
configurations, assists in matching the engine to your needs.

working on are also applied on boats. The completely
new Marine engines, ranging through 4 engine series and
28 versions, from 15 to 825 HP, allow
the company to satisfy the dynamic
evolution of the pleasure and
professional marine world. All engines
include the most updated technologies
and production methods: high pressure
Common Rail and unit injector
ignition systems, 4 valve-cylinder feed,
complete electronic management with
power and consumption optimization,
low emissions, engine protection, diagnosis and safety
programmes.
High specific output, reduced weight/power and
volume/power ratios, low noise and exhaust gas emissions
(all fulfilling the main standards in the marine sector: IMOMARPOL – 2003/44/EC – 2004/26/EC – CCNR – EPA),
design, reliability and low operating and maintenance costs:
these are the salient features of this new range of engines
that meets the strictest requirements for a range of pleasure
and professional boats up to 24 meters.
The constant updating of the product range doesn’t
exclusively concern powertrains, but also involves all kinds
of accessories, such as the most recent digital control panels
and electronic remote controls.
Particular emphasis must be put on the development
of CAN-bus technology electronic controlling systems,
characterized by a wide modular system, a reduced
number of components, easy plug & play mounting, easy
configuration and user friendly.
