INTRODUCTION
S
ingapore amateur golfers chalked several notable “firsts” in the
international amateur golfing arena in FY2015. The most noteworthy
must be the podium finish in all four golf events at the 28th SEA Games
hosted by Singapore. Team Singapore won the men’s team and individual
silver medals and the women’s team and individual bronze medals.
The other notable achievement was Team Singapore’s fourth placing
at the 27th Asia Pacific Golf Team Championship (Nomura Cup). This
was our best ever performance finishing behind champion Team Japan,
Team Chinese Taipei and Team Korea.

54th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
T
he SGA 54th Annual General Meeting was held at the SICC Bukit Location on 27 Jul 15.
A total of eleven SGA Ordinary Members were present at the AGM. Mr James Koh Cher
Siang, Chairman SICC, was elected for a second term of office as Chairman SGA Governing
Council. Auditors SB Tan & Co were also reappointed.
There was no change to the SGA Executive Board as members were appointed at the last
AGM for a two year term of office.

In January 2016, Mr Khoo Boon Hui was elected Chairman SGA Governing Council when
the incumbent Mr James Koh had to step down after relinquishing his appointment as
Chairman SICC.

28th South East Asia Games Golf Tournament
T
he 28th SEA Games golf tournament was hosted by Singapore at the Sentosa Golf Club
Serapong Course from 7 – 12 Jun 15. Thailand won all four gold medals winning the
men’s and women’s team and individual events.
Team Singapore achieved its best SEA Games performance with a podium finish in all four
events winning the men’s team and individual silver and women’s team and individual bronze.
Indonesia won the women’s team silver and the men’s team bronze.

27th Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship (Nomura Cup)
T
he 27th Asia Pacific Amateur Golf
Team Championship (Nomura Cup)
was hosted by United Arab Emirate at the
Yas Links Abu Dhabi from 22 – 25 Oct 15.
We finished in 4th position, just one shot
behind Team Korea. Team Japan was the
champion, beating Team Chinese Taipei
on countback.
This achievement was our best ever at the
Nomura Cup tournament.

SGA vs MGA Annual Match
T
eam SGA did not succeed in its quest to win our annual match against Team MGA
for the 5th year in a row. Team SGA could only muster 6 points to lose to MGA which
amassed 18 points. The 2015 SGA vs MGA annual match was hosted by Warren Golf & CC

PLAYERS’ INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN
REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS
O
ur players’ individual success in the numerous regional golfing tournaments was also
noteworthy. Gregory Foo won the 68th Singapore Open Amateur Championship, the 55th
Putra Cup individual title and was selected by Asia Pacific Golf Confederation to represent
Team Asia Pacific at the Sir Bonallack Trophy.

at the Nomura Cup, shared the individual
6th position. He also did well to finish as

T
he 4th SNSAC was hosted by Laguna National Golf & Country Club from 21 to 23 Apr

2015 Singapore Junior Golf Championship
T
hailand players Ekpharit Wu and Pimnipa Panthong swept the Boys’ and Girls’ titles
of the 2015 Singapore Junior Golf Championship. Tommy Tan won the trophy for the

G

dinner was held at Orchid Country Club on 30 Oct 15.
The Overall Champion was Singapore Island Country Club with a total

T
he Singapore Open finally returned, after a break of three years, with Sumitomo
Mitsui Banking Corporation as title sponsor. It was staged at Sentosa Golf Club
from 28 – 31 Jan 16.
Korean Song Young Han fended off a late challenge by world number one Jordan
Spieth to win the US$1 million SMBC Singapore Open which finished on Monday
due to multiple weather delays.

JUNIOR GOLF CLINICS
T
o promote junior golf, Lagardere Sports, promoter of the SMBC Singapore Open, and
SGA, through its Community Engagement Committee, organized three junior golf
clinics. These clinics were open to students invited by MOE. The first two were held at
Sentosa Golf Club on 18 Oct 15 and 1 Nov 15. A total of 30 young golfers attended
each clinic.
The third clinic was held at Jurong Country Club on 19 Dec 15. A total of 19 participants
who were shortlisted from the earlier two clinics played the JCC Executive Course.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
S
GA Hon Secretary, Yee Woon Yim, attended the AGF AGM held at the Singha Park
Golf Club, Khon Kaen, Thailand, on 17 Sep 15. The meeting was chaired by Datuk
Mohd Zain Mohd Yusuf, Sec Gen AGF, and President AGF and also President TGA
Rungsrid Luxsitanonda.
Singapore confirmed that it will host the 56th SEA Amateur Golf Team Championship
(Putra Cup) from 5 – 9 Sep 16 at the Tanah Merah Country Club.

SOUTH EAST ASIA LAUNCH OF
2016 EDITION OF RULES OF GOLF
S
ingapore hosted the R&A for its SEA launch of the 2016 edition of the Rules of Golf at
Sentosa Golf Club on 29 Oct 15. The R&A Chairman of Rules of Golf Committee, David
Bonsall, and its Director-Rules Grant Moir, presented to the media, representatives of regional
golf associations and SGA Rules Sub-Committee members and senior SGA Referees, the
key changes made to the 2016 Rules of Golf. The new Rules will take effect on 1 Jan 16.

SGA SG50 Golf
A
s part of our contribution to the nation in celebration of SG50, nine SGA Ordinary
Members set aside a day each in October to offer Singapore citizens and permanent
residents concessionary rates to play golf at their courses.
The take up rate for this offer was very good and Seletar Country Club extended it by one
extra day. The table shows the participation rate:

SGA/PARENTS’ ANNUAL DIALOGUE
T
he annual SGA/Parents’ Dialogue was held on Saturday 19 Mar 16 at the SICC
Bukit Auditorium. A total of 90 parents and players turned up for this event. Letters of
appointment were presented to members of the SGA National and Development Squads.
The recipient of the SGA President’s Trophy for 2015 was Gregory Foo. However, he
was unable to receive the award from President SGA as he was away participating in the
Sir Bonallack Trophy.

APPOINTMENT OF GOLF
NATIONAL COACH
A
ndrew Welsford was reappointed national
coach on 1 Nov 15. First appointed in
2013, he returned to Australia in early 2014 due
to personal reasons. Based in Australia, he will
make monthly visits of one week’s duration to
Singapore or to the venue
of major tournaments. He
will be assisted by Jerome

member, in carrying out the
coaching programmes.

hree of our players turned professional this year.
The first was Johnson Poh in July. He was followed
by Jonathan Woo a month later. Koh Sock Hwee took
the plunge in Feb 16 just after qualifying for the HSBC
Women’s Champion.

HANDICAPPING SYSTEM (CHS)
T
he development of the SGA Centralised Handicapping System
(CHS) project proceeded at full steam this year and will be launched
in August 2016. The CHS will provide a modern and unified platform for golf handicapping,
changing the way golfers perform their handicapping activities and introducing consistency
in calculation of golfers’ Handicap Index. Golfers will be able to access their Handicap Index
and post scores anywhere and anytime via multiple channels including web, their iOS or
Android devices and their clubs’ terminals. Golfers will also be able to carry out peer review
to see fellow golfers’ posted scores as soon as they have been posted to the system. These
user friendly options will make posting scores and checking handicaps a breeze.

SGA CONFLICT OF INTERESTS POLICY
SGA policy relating to the management and avoidance of conflicts of interest is as follows:
a.Each SGA Executive Board Member and staff shall declare in writing the nature and
extent of any relationship, arrangement, contract or agreement, which may result in a
conflict of interest.
b. When there is a change to a Board member or staff interests, the board member or staff
shall provide an update to the secretariat as soon as is practicable.
c. The disclosure of interests shall be tabled at the next practical Executive Board meeting,
unless circumstances require, in which case, they shall be communicated as soon as
possible to the other Board members and to staff.
d. Where a Board member or staff is in a position of conflict of interest, the Board member
should declare himself (or herself) as conflicted and offer not to participate in the discussion.
Persons in a conflict of interest shall abstain from any decisions made on the matter.
All disclosures and the nature of the discussions and decisions shall be appropriately
minuted in the notes of the meeting.
e.Where a Board member expects to find himself (or herself) in a significant conflict of
interest position, he should seek, in the first instance, to minimize his (or her) participation
in the process that could lead to the conflict of interest.
f. The Board will seek to avoid perceptions of any conflicts of interest in its financial dealings.

Conclusion
The year 2015 saw Team Singapore and individual players achieving success in international
and regional events. SGA was also actively involved in various activities to promote the
sport of golf.

113th Malaysian Amateur Open
1. Marc Ong won the 113th Malaysian Amateur Open with a great 13-under 275 (68,
70, 69, 68). This win is his second regional title having earlier won the Philippines
Matchplay Amateur Open.
2. Five shots behind at 8-under 280 (70, 68, 70, 72) in second spot was Australian
Harrison Endycott whilst fellow Australian Justin Warren took third spot with 5-under
283 (70, 72, 73, 68).
3. Gregory Foo finished in fourth spot with 4-under 284 (71, 68, 75, 70) followed by Thai
Sangchai Kaewcharoen 2-under 286 (69, 72, 73, 72) and Jerome Ng, who carded the
tournament’s lowest score of 5-under 67, at 1-under 287 (74, 67, 72, 74)

2015 Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship
6. Gregory Foo finished second at the 2015 Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship behind
winner Viraaj Madappa of India who shot 3-under 285 (70, 72, 69, 74). Gregory Foo did
very well to finish 2 shots behind at 1-under 287. He overcame a poor round one score
of 78 to shoot 69, 70 and 70 in the next three rounds to take the second spot.

Lloyd Jefferson Go of Philippines was third with 1-over 289 (71, 72, 73, 73), Thai Sadom
Kaewkanjana fourth 2-over 290 (70, 70, 71, 79) and Marc Ong fifth with 4-over 292 (72,
74, 73, 73).
8. The 2015 Taiwan Amateur Golf Championship was played at the Sunrise Golf &
Country Club from 23 – 26 Jun 15.

55th South East Asia Amateur Golf Team Championship (Putra Cup)
9. Team Thailand won the 55th Putra Cup with a team score of 864. Team Singapore were
the 1st runner up with 884 followed by Team Malaysia the 2nd runner up with 908.
10. Gregory Foo took the individual event title with 7-under 281(71, 70, 68, 72). Thais
Witchayanon and Kammalas were the 1st and 2nd runner up with 3-under 285 (71, 74,
70, 70) and 2-under 286 (69, 73, 71, 73), respectively.
11. Team Thailand also won the 9th Lion City Cup and the 7th Santi Cup whilst Team
Philippines won the 3rd Kartini Cup.
12. Singapore participated in the 55th South East Asia Amateur Golf Team Championship
in all four events, namely, the 55th Putra Cup, the 9th Lion City Cup, the 7th Santi Cup
and the 3rd Kartini Cup.
13. The Putra Cup Team comprised Gregory Foo, Marc Ong, Abdul Hadi and Joshua Ho
with Jerome Ng as the non-playing captain. Marc Ong withdrew after Round 2 of the
Putra Cup due to a previous back injury and had to sit out on the sideline for the remaining
two rounds of the tournament. Abdul Hadi finished in 8th position with 13-over 301 (77,
79, 73, 72) and Joshua Ho in T9th with 14-over 302 (78, 72, 76, 76).
14. The Lion City Cup Team was represented by Tommy Tan, Nicholas Mok and Charles
Alliston. They finished in 5th position with 624 behind Team Malaysia (621), Team
Philippines (617), Team Indonesia (611) and winner Team Thailand (578).
15. Thai players swept all the top three individual positions with Ekpharit Wu in the top
position at even par 288 (75, 76, 67, 70), Atiruj Winaicharoenchai second with 6-over 294
(75, 74, 70, 75) and Thanakorn Torsee third with 12-over 300 (72, 80, 74, 74). Charles
Alliston was Singapore’s best player finishing in T5th position with 21- over 309 (79, 78,
74, 78) followed by Tommy Tan in T10th position with 27-over 315 (78, 80, 77, 80) and
Nicholas Mok in 14th position with 34-over 322 (80, 83, 78, 81).
16. Team members of the Santi Cup were Koh Sock Hwee, Goh Jen and Jacqueline
Young. However, Goh Jen withdrew after the first round and returned home the next
day on compassionate grounds due to the demise of her grandfather. Team Singapore
finished in 4th position out of 6 teams with 616 behind Team Philippines (608), Team
Malaysia (601) and winner Team Thailand (569).
17. In the individual event, Thai girls took the top three positions with Manuschaya Zeemakorn
at 3-under 285 (70, 73, 72, 70), Kanyalak Preedasuttijit at 2-under 286 (67, 76, 74, 69)
and Pimnipa Panthong at 2-over 290 (70, 74, 74,72). Koh Sock Hwee was 7th with
19-over 307 (75, 76, 76, 80) and Jacqueline Young 9th with 23-over 311 (79, 82, 76, 74).

18. The Kartini Cup team members were Callista Chen, Erika Layson and Vanessa Khoo.
They finished in 5th position with 649. Team Philippines were the winner with 587,
followed by Team Thailand (590), Team Indonesia (605) and Team Malaysia (630).
19. Yuka Escalora Saso of the Philippines took the individual title with even par 288 (71, 78,
69, 70). Pajaree Anannarukarn of Thailand was second with 3-over 291 (71, 72, 77, 71)
and in tied third position at 11-over 299 were Hamie Nicole Constantino (77, 75, 75, 72)
and Arpichaya Yubol (77, 69, 76, 77). Callista Chen finished in T6th position with 23-over
311 (78, 77, 81, 75), followed by Erika Layson in 14th position at 51-over 339 (87, 82, 86,
84) and Vanessa Khoo in 15th at 55-over 343 (87, 85, 85, 86).
20. The 55th Putra Cup was hosted by Thailand from 15 – 18 Sep 15 at the SIngha Park
Khon Kaen Golf Club.
21. Lee Lian Hong, SGA Exec Board member, was the overall Team Manager and was
assisted by Roko Kho.
2015 Asia Pacific Amateur Championship
22. The 2015 AAC was hosted by Hong Kong at the Clearwater Bay Golf Club from 1 – 4
Oct 15. Six Singapore players were invited to participate and they were Jerome Ng,
Gregory Foo, Joshua Shou, Abdul Hadi, Joshua Ho and James Leow.
23. Jin Cheng was crowned champion of the 2015 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship
after the fourth round was cancelled due to weather. He shot 11-under 199 to become
the winner over joint runners-up, Ryan Ruffels and Cameron Davis of Australia who were
at 10-under 200.
24. James Leow (70, 69, 70) and Gregory Foo (64, 74, 71) both finished in T19th position
at 1-under 209. Abdul Hadi was tied in 42nd position at 3-over 213 (67, 73, 73) and at
6-over 216 were Jerome Ng (70, 72, 74) and Joshua Ho (70, 73, 73) followed by Joshua
Shou at 10-over 220 (71, 72, 77).
27th Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship (Nomura Cup)
25. The 27th Nomura Cup was hosted by United Arab Emirate at the Yas Links Abu Dhabi
from 22 – 25 Oct 15. Singapore were represented by James Leow, Gregory Foo, Abdul
Hadi and Joshua Ho and was led by team leader Jerome Ng.
26. Team Japan beat Team Chinese Taipei on count back to win the 27th Nomura Cup with
a team score of 22-under 842. In third place was Team Korea with 16-under 848.

27. Team Singapore finished in fourth position just one shot behind at 15-under 849 making
it Team Singapore’s best ever performance in the biennial Nomura Cup.
28. Jin Cheng of China won the individual title with 13-under 275 followed by Korean Jae
Kyeoung Lee who beat Chiu Han Ting of Chinese Taipei on count back when both
returned 12-under 276.
29. James Leow performed very well in his first appearance in the Nomura Cup. He shot a
brilliant 5-under 67 in the final round for a 9-under 279 (70, 69, 73, 67) to share the 6th
position with Tae Koh of New Zealand and Japanese Daisuke Matsubara.
30. Abdul Hadi finished in tied 14th position with 2-under 286 (71, 72, 70, 73) whilst Gregory
Foo ended in tied 20th position with 1-over 289 (71, 68, 75, 75) followed by Joshua Ho
in tied 23rd position with 2-over 290 (70, 74, 73, 73).
Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Championship 2015
31. Neergaard-Petersen Rasmus of Denmark won the 2015 Singha Thailand Junior World
Golf Championship. He shot 7-under 271 (72, 69, 69, 71) to win by 8 shots. Junichi
Takabe of Japan was second with 1-over 289 (72, 75, 72, 70) followed by Parathakorn
Suyasri of Thailand with 4-over 292(71, 75, 73, 73). Tommy Tan (86, 76, 75, 76) and
Nicholas Mok (79, 80, 77, 77) finished in tied 21st position at 25-over 313.
32. Singapore team of Amanda Tan and Jacqueline Young did well to finish in third position
behind Chinese Taipei and Japan in the team event. Individually, Amanda Tan shot 10over 298 (74, 74, 76, 74) and Jacqueline Young 19-over 307 (75, 77, 78, 77) to finish in
T5th and T11th positions, respectively.
33. The tournament was held at Royal Hua Hin Golf Course from 5 – 8 Nov 15.
Riversdale Cup 2016
34. Harrison Endycott won the 2016 Riversdale Cup with 14-under 274 (71, 67, 67, 69). In
second place was Henry Spring at 13-under 275 (71, 70, 67, 67) followed by David
Micheluzzi at 12-under 276 (68, 68, 70, 70).
35. SGA sent two players, Abdul Hadi and James Leow, to participate in this event. Abdul
Hadi finished in T42nd with 2-over 290 (71, 73, 76, 70) whilst James Leow missed the
cut after shooting 73, 76.
36. The 2016 Riversdale Cup was held at Riversdale Golf Club, Mount Waverley, Victoria,
Australia from 10 to 13 Mar 16.

DETAILS OF LOCAL TOURNAMENTS
4th Singapore National Senior Amateur Championship
1. Lian Ai Hian won the 4th Singapore National Senior Amateur Championship, his
second win for this tournament, on the first play-off hole. He shot even par 69 for a 10over 217 (77, 71, 69) total. Defending champion Douglas Ooi also finished on 10-over
217 (72, 73, 72) to force the play-off.
2. The 4th SNSAC was hosted by Laguna National Golf & Country Club from 21 - 23 Apr
15 at its Masters Course. A total of 58 senior golfers participated in this tournament
which is open only to Singapore citizens and permanent residents.
2015 Singapore Junior Golf Championship
3. The 2015 SJGC was hosted by Keppel Club for the 11th year from 6 – 8 May 15. A total
of 28 local participants and 31 foreign players took part. The largest contingent came
from Thailand with 9 players, followed by Philippines with 6 players and Hong Kong
with 5 players. The other nationalities included Australia, China, Denmark, France, India,
Malaysia and USA.
4. Thailand players Ekpharit Wu and Pimnipa Panthong swept the Boys’ and Girls’ titles
of the 2015 Singapore Junior Golf Championship. Ekpharit Wu shot 7-over 223 (77, 74,
72) to win by 3 shots whilst compatriot Pimnipa Panthong shot 3-over 219 (72, 76, 71).
5. Singapore players Tommy Tan and Callista Chen finished in second position in the
Boys’ and Girls’ Divisions with 10-over 226 (74, 76, 76) and 8-over 224 (75, 76, 73),
respectively. Tommy Tan also won the Rolex Trophy for the being the best overall
local player.
28th South East Asia Games
6. The 28th SEA Games was held at the Sentosa Golf Club Serapong Course from 7 – 12
Jun 15. A total of 56 top golfers from ten countries participated. Eight men’s teams and
seven women’s teams competed for the two team gold medals whilst the thirty-four men
and twenty-two women making up these teams vied for the two gold individual medals.
7. Team Singapore were represented by Jonathan Woo, Johnson Poh, Marc Ong,
Abdul Hadi, Koh Sock Hwee, Goh Jen and Amanda Tan.

8. Team Thailand won the Men’s and Women’s team gold medals. Team Singapore won
the Men’s silver medal and the Women’s bronze medal whilst Team Indonesia took the
Men’s bronze medal and the Women’s silver medal.

10. In the Men’s individual event, Thai Natipong Srithong won the gold medal at the first
playoff hole. He finished on 1-under 287 (70, 73, 73, 71) to tie with Johnson Poh (72,
73, 74, 68) who took the silver. Fellow Thai Tawan Phongphun took the bronze medal
with even par 288 (69, 75, 73, 71). In tied fourth position at 2-over 290 were Jonathan
Woo (73, 71, 74, 72) and Thai Sarit Suwannarut (78, 66, 71, 75).
11. The Women’s individual gold medal was won by Thai Suthavee Chanachai with 7-under
209 (71, 69, 69). The silver and bronze medals were contested by three players, who
all finished on 4-over 220, in a playoff. Indonesian Rivani Sihotang (70, 77, 73) took
the silver medal at the fourth playoff hole whilst Koh Sock Hwee (69, 74, 77) took the
bronze medal. Thai Pajaree Anannrukarn (72, 74, 74) finished in fourth position.

68th Singapore Open Amateur Championship
12. The 68th edition of the Singapore Open Amateur Championship was held at the Island
Course of SICC. The course par was reduced to par 70 with both the 4th and 11th holes
played as par 4 holes. A total of 74 competitors, comprising 32 locals and 42 foreign
players, took part.
13. Gregory Foo won this tournament with 5-under 275 (72, 66, 69, 68). Thai Kousuke
Hamamoto was second with 2-over 282 (70, 71, 70, 71). Also at 2-over 282 were Lucius
Toh (71, 69, 70, 72) and Malaysian Paul San (69, 72, 68, 73) who finished in third and
fourth position, respectively, on count back.
14. With this win, Gregory Foo also won for himself an invitation to play in the SMBC
Singapore Open which will be held on 28 – 31 Jan 2016 at the Sentosa Golf Club.
16th Singapore National Amateur Championship
15. A total of 44 men and 19 ladies participated in the 16th Singapore National Amateur
Championship hosted by TMCC at the Tampines Course.
16. James Leow and Goh Jen won the men’s and women’s title, respectively. James Leow
beat Yash Majmudar 6&5 to finally win after missing out last year when he finished first
runner up. Meanwhile, Goh Jen successfully defended her title with a convincing win of
6&5 over Ou Yang Hua.
17. James Leow will be the second amateur player to be invited to participate in the 2015
SMBC Singapore Open.
18. Gregory Foo and Phyllis Tang were the second runners-up when they won their matches
4&3 and 3&2 against Lucius Toh and Erika Layson, respectively.
26th SLGA Amateur Open
19.Goh Jen won the 25th SLGA Amateur Open with 11-under 205 (71, 64, 70)
making this her second consecutive tournament win after taking the 16th Singapore
National Amateur Championship title the week before. Amelia Yong was the first runner
up on count back with 5-under 211 (73, 67, 71) followed by Inez Beatrice of Indonesia
(70, 69, 72).
20. The 26th SLGA Amateur Open was hosted by Sembawang Country Club from 25 – 27
Aug 15.

Faldo Series Singapore Championship
21. The Faldo Series Singapore Championship was hosted by Raffles Country Club from
7 – 10 Sep 15. A total of 33 players participated in this tournament with the Overall
Winner and the Winners of the Boys’ and Girls’ Divisions qualifying to participate in the
Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at Missions Hills.
22. Jacqueline Young was declared the winner after unhealthy haze levels in the morning
caused the cancellation of the final round. She shot 7-over 151 (75, 76) and is the first
female golfer to win this tournament since it started in 2006.
23. Andre Chong won the Boys’ Division with 8-over 152 (74, 78) whilst Erika Layson took
the Girls’ Division title with 13-over 157 (79, 78). The runners up in the Boys’ and Girls’
Divisions were siblings Nicholas Mok and Nicole Mok, respectively.
24. The prize presentation was attended by Hon Sec SGA Yee Woon Yim, Captain RCC
Patrick Low and Lady Captain RCC Cheong Yoke Keng.
SGA Inter Club League 2015
25. The last leg of the SGA ICL was played on 11 Oct 15 and that completed the 2015
season. The prize presentation dinner was held at Orchid Country Club on 30 Oct 15.
The guest of honour was Chairman SGA Governing Council, Mr James Koh Cher Siang.
A total of more than three hundred and fifty guests were present and they included
members of SGA Governing Council and SGA Executive Board, club captains, lady
captains, club general managers and participants of the league.

26th Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship
27. The 26th edition of the Singapore Open Senior Amateur Championship attracted a
total of 87 senior golfers from Singapore and the region. Defending champion David
Foo and past champions Lakshman Singh of India and Lian Ai Hian were amongst the
competitors who teed up at the Jurong Country Club from 2 – 5 Nov 15.
28. William Houng Lee of New Zealand was the winner with 18-over 234 (77, 76, 81). The
runner up was Australian Barry Squires with 21-over 237 (81, 78, 78).
SGA vs MGA Annual Match 2015
29. Team MGA won the annual match between the two golf associations with a convincing
score of 18 points to SGA’s 6 points. Team MGA started the singles matches needing
only 4 points to wrest the trophy from defending champion Team SGA. They soon got
their winning points and went on to collect 9½ points to finish with 18 total points. Team
SGA managed only 2½ points from the singles matches and finished with 6 total points.
30. The prize presentation lunch was hosted by Vice President SGA Goh Hup Chor with
Captain WGCC Oh Kian Beng in attendance.
31. The SGA vs MGA match was hosted by WGCC from 16 – 18 Nov 15. The detailed
