I set my goals, and for the first time in my life accomplished my big 3! Always in the past I accomplished one or two, never all three! My resolutions this year were: Get a New Car, Earn my Second Degree, and Move into an Apartment. The first goal was accomplished within the first month, I tested on January 26th for my Nidan (Second Degree Black Belt) and passed! It was a long time leading up to that test, but it was worth it when I bowed into that test and all my hard work had paid off! The second goal, getting a new car. I loved my truck but it had been slowly starting to die on me. To the point where I could barely drive it. After getting it looked at for inspection I decided that it would cost far more money then I was willing to invest into it, based on the amount of time I felt I had left in the vehicle. So in July, I bought a new car. Lastly, Out on my own...my own apartment. This one honestly didn’t seem like it was going to happen this year. I looked and things fell through, I was all ready only to have the goal yanked away from me at the last minute. A few weeks ago I met up with Mr. English and we looked at a place, I instantly liked it, called the landlord and moved in the next week, thus accomplishing my third and final goal. I then began to think, I accomplished my goals, and while they weren’t done necessarily the way I thought they were, it all worked out. Life is but a series of small choices, and those small choices lead to bigger results. This is the epiphany I had while sitting in my kitchen unpacking boxes, Perhaps there is more to life, but starting with the small choices is a good start. Final thought for the year, At the Teen Banquet this year Mrs.McKenna and I put together a tribute to Mr.English for his 20th year of running KIMAC. The outpouring of support and love from other Martial Artists, teachers, and former students were incredible. Some former Students were able to attend the banquet at the end for the tribute, afterwards we all spent some time together and it felt like being with old brothers and sisters. I tell you this to say, The KIMAC family is always apart of all of our lives, no matter where you are and what you do with your life. The Doors to KIMAC are always open to you and we are always willing to be there to help. THANK YOU ALL! for an incredible 2014, with 2015 on the horizon I encourage you to look at opportunities with an open heart and open mind, you never know what goals you might accomplish, and know if you fail, the KIMAC family will always do our best to help. ---------------------------Please support these local businesses that support KIMAC.--------------------------- Karate International Martial Arts Center 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833 • 603.778.8475 • www.kimacnh.com Special Events Holiday Open House Saturday, December 20th, 4:00-9:00pm 7:00-9:00pm will be for the Adult program Tots Candyland Saturday, Feb. 14th, 1:00-2:00pm Youth Valentine’s Movie Party Saturday, Feb. 14th, 6-8:30pm Closed for Vacation December 24th - January 4th Karate International Martial Arts Center 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833 • 603.778.8475 • www.kimacnh.com
