The Woman With
The Issue Of Blood
By Jimmy Swaggart
“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, who had spent all her living upon
physicians, neither could be healed of any” (Lk. 8:43).
Came behind
Him, and touched
the border of His
garment: and
immediately her
issue of blood
stanched.
The phrase, “And a woman having an issue of
blood twelve years,” probably referred to a female
disorder, which seemed to rupture constantly.
Due to this sickness, this woman was ceremonially unclean according to Leviticus 15:19.
It is worthy of note that the daughter of Jairus
of the previous chapter was 12 years old,
while the woman of our subject had been sick
12 years.
While the sameness of these numbers may
be mere coincidence, still, 12 represents God’s
order of government. If His government had
been clung to instead of what man presently
had, the girl would not have been at the point
of death or the woman sick, for there would
have been no death or sickness.
In the coming Kingdom Age and forever, God’s
government will once again be supreme, guaranteeing prosperity in every capacity such as
man has never known before.
NO HELP FROM THE
MEDICAL PROFESSION
The phrase, “Who had spent all her living upon
physicians, neither could be healed of any,” was
recorded by Luke, a physician himself (Col. 4:14).
Mark implies that these particular physicians
knew they could not help her, but treated her
solely for the money.
4 JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
There is even the intimation that whatever
type of treatment they gave her not only
did not help her but also made the situation
worse (Mk. 5:26).
At any rate, as there was no earthly remedy
for her sickness, there is no earthly remedy for
sin. However, there is a remedy, as we soon
shall see!
TOUCH THE BORDER
OF HIS GARMENT
“Came behind Him, and touched the border of
His garment: and immediately her issue of blood
stanched” (Lk. 8:44).
The phrase, “Came behind Him,” was probably
for several reasons. The crowd was large and if
she had desired to personally speak with Jesus
about her sickness, this had now become virtually impossible due to the press of the people.
However, while the throng definitely was
a factor, due to her being ceremonially
unclean, she was not even supposed to be
in this crowd, for “Whosoever touched her, or
that she touched, would be unclean until nightfall” (Lev. 15:19). So, she was faced with a
dilemma, and what was she to do?
Tradition says that she lived out of town, and
this may be the last time she would have the
opportunity to be in the presence of Jesus.
WE BELIEVE:
»»The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative
written Word of God. (Ps. 119; Mat. 4:4; Lk. 24:27)
»»There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God
the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (I Jn. 5:7)
So, she evidently reasoned within her mind that she must take her chances and
do whatever possible to receive healing, irrespective of the consequences. She
was dying anyway, and she had nothing to lose by what she was about to do.
She had already reasoned in her heart, which was, no doubt, instigated by
the Holy Spirit, that if she could but touch Him, even the end of the blue
tassels which hung upon the shawl thrown over His shoulder, she would be
immediately whole.
»»In the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin Birth, in
His Sinless Life, in His Miracles, in His Vicarious and atoning
Death, in His Bodily Resurrection, in His Ascension to the
Right Hand of the Father, in His personal future return to
this Earth in Power and Glory to rule a thousand years. (Jn.
1:1-4; Eph. 2:13-18; Rev., Chpts. 19-20)
»»In the Blessed Hope — the Rapture of the Church at
Christ’s Coming. (I Thess. 4:13-18)
»»The only means of being cleansed from sin is through
Repentance and Faith in the Precious Blood of Christ.
(Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:8-9, 13-18)
»»Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for
personal Salvation. (Jn. 3:5-8; Titus 3:5)
»»The Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross provides
Healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
(Ex. 15:25-26; James 5:14-15; I Pet. 2:24)
Furthermore, if she was behind Him, quite possibly, He would not know it,
and she would be healed without her infraction being noticed.
»»The Baptism with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 is
given to Believers who ask for it. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:1-7)
JESUS
»»In the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the one
to Everlasting Life and the other to everlasting damnation.
(Rev. 20:5-6, 11-15)
There is also evidence from Mark 5:27-28 that she had not even heard of Jesus
before this time. This seems difficult to comprehend; however, we are told
that the Greek text bears it out.
Upon her arriving in Capernaum, for whatever reason, the talk seemed to be
of nothing but Jesus. Consequently, in a short time, she would have known
of His healing power.
Therefore, the moment the news came that He was expected shortly, as
quickly as possible, she went to His expected place of arrival, and so did hundreds, if not thousands, of others.
Even though the text does not bear it out, the presence of God must have
emanated from Him to such an extent that faith instantly detected it. Quite
possibly, others were being healed as well. At any rate, faith built within her
heart, and, irrespective of the difficulties, faith will always find a way.
The phrase, “And touched the border of His garment,” pertained to one of the
four tassels which formed part of the Jewish mantle, one of these so arranged
as to hang down over the shoulder at the back. It was this one which the sufferer’s fingers grasped. The blue of the tassel, which was worn by most men,
reminded Israel that their help came from above and of their duty to keep the
Law (Num. 15:28-41; Deut. 22:12).
Some have claimed that she was a Gentile and lived in Caesarea Philippi
and that her name was Veronica. However, every indication is that she was
Jewish, especially considering that she seemed to understand the spiritual
value of this blue tassel.
The phrase, “And immediately her issue of blood stanched,” is stated by Mark
that “she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague” (Mk. 5:29).
Whatever it was, she knew she was healed, and beyond the shadow of a
doubt. Mark also said, “And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up,”
meaning that the flow did not merely stop, but rather what was causing it
was completely healed (Mk. 5:29). In other words, it was a permanent cure,
something she would never be troubled with again.
Of all the physicians she had come to, she had now come to the right One.
»»In the Sanctifying Power of the Holy Spirit by Whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Rom.
6:3-14; 8:1-2, 11)
THE PRICELESS CORNER
We have set aside this corner of The Evangelist to show
God’s Plan of Salvation. If you are unsure where you will go
when you die, please listen to what God has said in His Word:
FIRST: GOD LOVES YOU!
“For God so loved the world that he gave His only Begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but
have Everlasting Life” (Jn. 3:16).
SECOND: MAN IS A SINNER, AND SIN
HAS SEPARATED HIM FROM GOD
“For there is not a just man upon Earth, that doeth good and
sinneth not” (Eccl. 7:20).
“For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”
(Rom. 3:23).
THIRD: JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY REMEDY FOR SIN
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that He might bring us to God ...” (I Pet. 3:18).
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must
be saved” (Acts 4:12).
FOURTH: YOU MUST RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST
AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR
Jesus calls this experience the “new bir th.” He told
Nicodemus: “... Except a man be born again, he cannot see
the Kingdom of God” (Jn. 3:3).
We invite you now to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your
personal Saviour. “But as many as received Him, to them
gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on His Name” (Jn. 1:12).
Pray this prayer and mean it with all of your heart:
Dear Lord Jesus, I now realize that I am a sinner. I accept
the fact that You died for me on the rugged Cross of Calvary.
I now open my heart’s door and receive You as Saviour and
Lord of my life. Please take full control of me and help me to
be the kind of Christian You want me to be. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer in all sincerity, you are now a Child
of God. So that we might rejoice with you, we invite you to
fill out this coupon and mail it to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries,

WHO TOUCHED ME?
He could hardly stand. The Greek text
in Mark 4:36 bears that out.
“And Jesus said, Who touched Me? When
all denied, Peter and they who were with
him said, Master, the multitude throng
You and press You, and You say, Who
touched Me?” (Lk. 8:45).
The phrase, “When all denied,” refers to
whoever was standing close to Jesus. It
seems they did not exactly know what
He was talking about.
The question, “And Jesus said, Who
touched Me?” startled Peter because
many were touching Jesus; however,
He was not speaking of the many but
of this lone individual.
The question, “Peter and they who were
with Him said, Master, the multitude
throng You and press You, and You say,
Who touched Me?” is actually as much
an exclamation as it is a question.
How could He distinguish her touch
from all the others? As well, what
was different about her touch than the
others? For Him to have noticed it in
particular, there had to be something
different. The difference was faith!
Peter affirms that scores are “thronging and pressing” Jesus, with them, it
seems, having difficulty keeping any
semblance of order. Consequently,
Jesus’ question perplexed them.
While there were scores touching
Him out of curiosity and with others
not really knowing why they touched
Him, this one was different because of
the faith she exhibited.
This means that one can literally feel
faith! It also means that faith literally pulls from God that which is
needed. In fact, I think one could say
without fear of contradiction that it
is the only commodity to which our
Lord responds.
If one cannot please Him without
faith, then everything displeases Him
which is faithless (Heb. 11:6).
HEALING
As well, we learn from this that what
Jesus did for the people in the realm
of healing was not without price.
To fully explain it I think would be
impossible; however, with each healing, there must have been a drain on
Him in the physical, emotional, and
spiritual sense. We do know that at
certain times He was so physically
exhausted from healing the sick that
And Jesus said, Somebody has
touched Me: for I perceive that
virtue has gone out of Me.
VIRTUE IS GONE OUT OF ME
“And Jesus said, Somebody has touched
Me: for I perceive that virtue has gone out
of Me” (Lk. 8:46).
The phrase, “And Jesus said, Somebody
has touched Me,” speaks of a distinct
type of touch other than the grabbing,
striking type.
The phrase, “For I perceive that virtue
has gone out of Me,” speaks of power.
In other words, power went out of Him
the moment the woman touched Him
in faith. Several things can be learned
from this:
»» It is possible for people to touch
the Lord even though He has not
touched them.
What do we mean by that?
Jesus did not touch this woman; she
touched Him. In that, we are given a
very valuable lesson.
As an example, whenever individuals go forward for prayer in church
(or wherever), if healing comes, or
whatever, that is the same as the Lord
touching us. However, if we do not
receive what we have gone for following that course, there remains, as this
woman of old, another alternative; we
can touch the Lord.
This speaks of going before Him in
intercessory prayer and continuing
until the need is met. Admittedly, it
may take time, as it often does.
However, we have His promise that
if we truly need certain things, in
whatever capacity, if we will persist,
He will do it. Luke, Chapter 11, especially bears this out. You may check
that chapter for more extended commentary; however, in brief, it tells us
to knock until the answer comes. To
be sure, this takes a greater degree
of faith than the Lord touching us;
however, the spiritual benefits derived
from such an excursion are of inestimable value, to say the least!
FAITH IN GOD
Jesus, in the incarnate state as a
human being, although never ceasing to be God, still did not know this
woman was in the crowd or even that
she existed. And yet, by touching
Him, she received her healing.
This tells us that faith in God is such
a powerful factor that it could effect a
tremendous result even though Jesus
did not even know she was there.
Many believers do not understand
exactly how God looks at faith. Our
association with Him is based entirely
on faith. One could say without fear

of contradiction that no other attribute is held so highly by
God. Actually, every single thing that comes into notion in
our relationship with the Lord is activated by faith.
However, when we speak of faith, we are not speaking
of presumption. Many have mistaken the two. Faith
in God is not a credit card to purchase anything we so
desire but, in effect, the things He desires. The idea is
that our relationship with Him is to be so close that we
will only desire what He desires.
We learn from this scenario that true faith in God, even
though faced with terrible obstacles exactly as this woman
of old, will not allow those circumstances or difficulties to
hinder. Such faith in God refuses to look at the obstacles,
but rather keeps its eyes fastened on the object, which
should always be Jesus (Heb. 12:2).
The phrase, “She declared unto Him before all the people for
what cause she had touched Him,” meant that she explained
her sickness, and to the extent that all knew she had been
ceremonially unclean. She withheld nothing!
The phrase, “And how she was healed immediately,” relates
what she told Jesus, which was heard by all, how that “she
felt in her body that she was healed of that plague” (Mk. 5:29).
She may have been greatly concerned, which she, no doubt,
was, regarding her being unclean due to her sickness, but
she also knew that she was healed. So, in effect, she was no
longer unclean because of her contact with Jesus.
THE WOMAN
“And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came
trembling, and falling down before Him, she declared unto Him
before all the people for what cause she had touched Him and
how she was healed immediately” (Lk. 8:47).
The phrase, “And when the woman saw that she was not hid,”
means that she evidently was trying to hide.
The phrase, “She came trembling,” was probably for several reasons.
First of all, it must have startled her that Jesus would stop,
in essence, calling for her. Mark said, “He looked round
about to see her who had done this thing,” meaning that He
knew it was a woman who touched Him (Mk. 5:32).
Consequently, I think her fear was normal and something to which any of us would have responded in a similar manner.
As well, she knew that according to Levitical Law, she was
unclean and as a consequence, was not supposed to be in
this crowd, much less touching Him.
She knew that the Levitical Law stated that not only was
she unclean, but all who touched her were unclean. Consequently, her fear, which caused the trembling, could well
have been caused by this knowledge.
YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WHOLE
“And He said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: your faith
has made you whole; go in peace” (Lk. 8:48).
The phrase, “And He said unto her, Daughter,” proclaims a
wonderful and beautiful statement.
At first, she was referred to as “a woman” (Vs. 43), and now
she is referred to as “Daughter,” drawing our attention to
several things:
»» He now claims her as His own.
»» He makes her a part of the family of God.
»» She is not only healed physically but spiritually as well.
SHE FELL DOWN BEFORE HIM
As someone has said, “Yesterday, she was one of the Devil’s
nobodies, and now she is one of Heaven’s somebodies!”
The phrase, “And falling down before Him,” proclaims her
stepping out from the crowd, falling on her knees at His feet.
The phrase, “Be of good comfort,” addresses itself to her fear
concerning her previous uncleanliness. She need have no

fear that anyone would judge her unclean now
because all evidence of her uncleanness was
gone. This is a perfect picture of the redemption in Christ.
gives the Holy Spirit latitude to work within
his or her life. As this woman was instantly
changed by touching Jesus, so have multiple
millions of others been changed.
The phrase, “Your faith has made you whole; go in
peace,” refers to the pipeline which brought her
healing from the Lord.
The testimonies we have received into our office
over the years number into the hundreds of
thousands, if not millions, and are so remarkable that they defy description.
but was claimed
That and that alone, the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

was given a new
As well, it must be hurriedly said that if her faith
made her whole, it will do the same for all who
will believe. God is no respecter of persons; what
He did for her, He will do for all (Acts 10:34).
The peace here given means that not only was
the woman healed, but she was saved also!
There is a beautiful spiritual application in this
illustration. It is as follows.
THE WOMAN WAS CHAINED
This speaks of being chained by sickness and,
from the context, sin as well! She is typical of
all the world that is chained by the maladies of
darkness. In effect, all unbelievers are in a spiritual prison, which spills over into every facet of
their lives.
Even though these were chains on this woman
which could not be seen by the physical eye,
nevertheless, they were chains.
As well, the entirety of the world is chained by
alcohol, drugs, jealousy, envy, immorality, sickness, disease, fear, religion, etc.
Only Jesus, as here, can break those chains.
THE WOMAN WAS CLAIMED
She was not only changed but was claimed into
the family of God. She was given a new life and
even a new status. She was now a child of God
and, consequently, a member of the greatest
family on earth.
Incidentally, tradition says the name of this
woman was Veronica.
Eusebius, who lived about 350 years after
Christ, is said to have seen the house in which
this woman lived.
It was at Caesarea Philippi or Paneas, as it
was sometimes called, and had at its door on a
stone pedestal two brazen statues. One represented a woman kneeling, and the other, a man
with his cloak over his shoulder and his hand
stretched out toward the kneeling woman, representing Jesus.
THE WOMAN WAS CHANGED
It is also stated that this same woman gave the
handkerchief to wipe the face of Jesus as He carried the Cross up to Calvary.
This was done by the miracle-working power
of God.
This message was taken from the book:
“Great Women of the Bible, New Testament.”
Regrettably, the world turns to its own sources,
which, in effect, can change nothing. The
church follows suit far too often. Psychology
has become the great change agent at the present; however, it cannot really change anything.
Only faith in God and the miracle-working
power of Christ can truly change a person. It
is done by the person placing his or her faith
entirely in Christ and the Cross, which then

THE WILLFUL SIN by frances swaggart
THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF FRANCES’ ARTICLE IN THE EVANGELIST FROM JUNE 2014.
Hebrews 10:26 – “For if we sin willfully (the ‘willful sin’ is the transference of faith from Christ and Him
crucified to other things) after that we have received the knowledge of the truth (speaks of the Bible
way of salvation and victory, which is ‘Jesus Christ and Him crucified’ [I Cor. 2:2]), there remains no more
sacrifice for sins (if the Cross of Christ is rejected, there is no other sacrifice or way God will accept).”
And He said unto
them, It is not
for you to know
the times or the
seasons, which the
Father hath put in
His own power.
WE NEED TO EXPAND upon our mentioning, in
last month’s article, of Rick Warren’s misuse of Scripture. In Chapter 36 of “The Purpose Driven Life,”
Rick Warren says this: “God’s timetable for history’s
conclusion is connected to the completion of our
commission. Today there is a growing interest in the
second coming of Christ and the end of the world.
When will it happen? Just before Jesus ascended to
Heaven the disciples asked him this same question,
and His response was quite revealing. He said, ‘It
is not for you to know the times or dates the Father
has set by His own authority. But you will receive
power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you
will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’” Here,
Rick Warren quotes from Acts 1:7-8 out of the New
International Version (NIV). However, instead of
including the context of this Scripture verse, he gives
it as a reference number making it so that people will
have to actually look it up! Of course, most people
will not do this. Rather, most will simply take Warren’s
word for it and continue on to buy his agenda which,
as you will see, attempts to ignore biblical prophecy.
THE WORD OF GOD
A few of us, though, did look it up! We find that
Christ made this statement just prior to His ascent
into Heaven when He was instructing His disciples
on the importance of receiving the baptism with
the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:4-6 King James Version (KJV)
states: “And, being assembled together with them,
12
JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
commanded them that they should not depart from
Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father,
which, said He, you have heard of Me. For John truly
baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with
the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they
therefore were come together, they asked of Him,
saying, Lord, will You at this time restore again the
kingdom of Israel?” So, in Verse 7, Christ answers
them according to their question regarding the
restoration of the nation of Israel to a ruling position:
“And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the
times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His
own power.” Warren, however, misrepresents Verse
7 making it appear to be a reason not to study any
biblical prophecy at all! This was not Christ’s intent, for
later He does give us information regarding His return
through the Apostle Paul in II Thessalonians, Chapter
2 and through other prophecies. The book of Revelation, for instance, is full of essential biblical prophecy.
PROPHECY
In Warren’s book he goes on to say: “When the disciples wanted to talk about prophecy, Jesus quickly
switched the conversation to evangelism. He wanted
them to concentrate on their mission in the world. He
said in essence, ‘The details of my return are none of
your business. What is your business is the mission
I’ve given you. Focus on that!’” Now, if we are not
to be concerned about the times of the Lord’s return,
if it is truly “none of your business,” then what is the
reason for all the verses of Scripture in both the Old

THE WILLFUL SIN
and New Testaments pertaining to prophecy? That would mean
that there is an awful lot of Scripture in the Bible about which we
are not to be concerned! Were the Jews not to pay attention to
the many prophecies concerning the coming of their Messiah the
first coming of Christ? You see the truth of the matter regarding prophecy is nearly the opposite of Rick Warren’s thinking
and teaching. The truth is that the only thing not revealed to
us regarding the return of the Lord is the exact day and hour.
There is a big difference between not knowing the exact date
and not knowing any information at all. Warren has tried to lump
everything together. Actually, the verse that regards not knowing
the exact date, Warren also takes out of context to try to prove
his case against prophecy. He says, “Speculating on the exact
timing of Christ’s return is futile, because Jesus said, ‘No one
knows about the day and hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor
the Son, but only the Father’” (refers to Mat. 24:36 from the NIV).
Warren says, “Since Jesus said he didn’t know the day or hour,
why should you try to figure it out?” But what he conveniently
does not mention is the entirety of the rest of Matthew, Chapter
24, which speaks of what we should know regarding the return
of the Lord. Quite an omission! Wouldn’t you agree?
THE ENDTIME – NOW!
For example, Jesus gave us the parable of the fig tree in
Matthew 24:32-33, which speaks of Israel’s regathering as
an independent nation: “When his branch is yet tender, and
putteth forth leaves, you know that summer is near: So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is
near, even at the doors.” This prophecy was fulfilled in 1948
when Israel became a nation again. We should be able to
recognize according to this fulfillment that we are now indeed
living in the last days! Following Warren’s lead, believers will
overlook this amazing and miraculous prophecy! Also, in Verse
15 Jesus says, “When you therefore shall see the abomination
of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, stand in the
Holy Place, (whoso reads, let him understand).” This speaks
of the Antichrist at the time he will defile the rebuilt Jewish
temple and demand that the people worship him. Those who
have studied this prophecy will recognize what is happening!
Warren attempts to further his case with Verse 14: “What we
do know for sure is this: Jesus will not return until everyone
God wants to hear the Good News has heard it. Jesus said,
Visit my website at www.francesandfriends.com | Find us on Facebook
‘The Good News about God’s Kingdom will be preached in all
the world, to every nation. Then the end will come’” (NCV).
This is true; however, it in no way suggests that we aren’t to
study prophecy. It is certainly a stretch for Warren to use it to
suggest such. Those truly mature in the faith know that correct
biblical discernment always reveals times and seasons! “He
answered and said unto them, When it is evening, you say, It
will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It
will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowring. O
you hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky; but can
you not discern the signs of the times?” (Mat. 16:2-3). And
besides that, one should be very cautious speaking against
true biblical prophecy; you may well be speaking against Jesus
Himself: “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said
unto me, See you do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy
brethren who have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for
the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy” (Rev. 19:10).
GLOBALIST!
The Bible is actually about one-third prophecy, and upon
any study of God’s Word one can understand and interpret
prophecy accurately. The Lord did not make this an impossible task as many, like Warren, would have you believe. Rick
Warren, you see, must have another motive. Something else
must be behind his totally unbiblical teaching that it is okay to
ignore prophecy, and indeed, there is! Rick Warren is what
is known as a change agent! Remember our mention in
last month’s article of Dulles and his globalist agenda? Well,
like we mentioned, Rick Warren is yet another man placed
specifically for the purpose of roping the evangelical church
into this agenda. It is his job to change the church so that it
will fit the U.N. social agenda for the whole world! If truth be
told, the “Purpose Driven Life” book is itself, a tool of change.
Its purpose is to change (transform) the biblical mindset of
the reader into a social/globalist mindset. When one reads
through from beginning to end, it imposes a subtle brainwashing that changes the focus of the believer. Remember
also, this is a modern example of the willful sin we have been
discussing. It leaves the Cross of Christ (which addresses the
problem of sin), for a new “PEACE Plan” which attempts to
address the lack of “peace on earth” in other ways. In effect, it
changes a person’s faith from the Cross and Christ has there
done to “What I can do for God.” The social agenda is also
the reason why globalists want to ignore prophecy because
they know if we study prophecy, we will see all the reasons
why the globalist and/or dominionist agenda does not line up
with the Scripture. We will see that the global giants are by
no means soled before the events of the Endtimes — including the Rapture of the church, the Great Tribulation, and the
second coming of Jesus Christ! So, when Rick Warren says we
THE EVANGELIST JULY 2014
13
THE WILLFUL SIN
are not to concern ourselves with prophecy, we are
listening to a false prophet!
FALSE TEACHERS
But there were
false prophets also
among the people,
even as there shall
be false teachers
among you, who
privily shall bring in
damnable heresies,
even denying the
Lord who brought
them, and bring
upon themselves
swift destruction.
One of the main reasons God gave us prophecy
and wanted us to study it is so that we would know
when false teachers would try to deceive us and lead
us away from the correct faith! And indeed, false
teachers are rampant in the church today turning
the hearts of God’s children away from Jesus Christ.
The early church had to deal with the same kind of
false prophets: “But there were false prophets also
among the people (refers to the false prophets
who plagued Israel of old), even as there shall be
false teachers among you (the false teacher is one
who presents a way of salvation, or a way of sanctification, other than the Cross), who privily shall
bring in damnable heresies (the idea is that these
false teachers would teach some true doctrine,
and then cleverly include false teaching with it; it
is the introduction of false teaching alongside the
true that makes it very subtle, and which abrogates
the true), even denying the Lord who brought
them (refers to denying the Cross), and bring upon
themselves swift destruction (upon themselves
and upon those who follow them, which refers to
the ultimate loss of the soul)” (II Pet. 2:1).
Now, part of Rick Warren’s job is to build a “unified
theology” which can push civility. See, you must
have a one world religion if there is to be a one
world government.
A UNIFIED THEOLOGY?
Here are a few of the notes taken by Dr. Lawrence
Dunegan from a speech given in 1969 by an insider
of the “new world order,” Dr. Richard Day. This is
just a sampling of what this speech revealed, but as
you will see, the plan for the order is very deliberate,
detailed, and organized. And so far it has followed
its plans exceptionally well, including the shift made
in the evangelical church.
“Another area of discussion was religion. This is an
avowed atheist speaking. And he said, ‘Religion is
not necessarily bad. A lot of people seem to need
religion, with its mysteries and rituals — so they will
have religion. But the major religions of today have
to be changed because they are not compatible with
the changes to come. The old religions will have to
go. Especially Christianity. Once the Roman Catholic
14
JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
church is brought down, the rest of Christianity will
follow easily. Then a new religion can be accepted for
use all over the world. It will incorporate something
from all the old ones to make it more easy for people
to accept it, and feel at home in it. Most people won’t
be too concerned with religion. They will realize that
they don’t need it. In order to do this, the Bible will
be changed. It will be rewritten to fit the new religion. Gradually, key words will be replaced with new
words having various shades of meaning. Then the
meaning attached to the new word can be close to
the old word — and as time goes on, other shades of
meaning of that word can be emphasized, and then
gradually that word replaced with another word.’ I
don’t know if I’m making that clear. But the idea is
that everything in Scripture need not be rewritten,
just key words replaced by other words. And the
variability in meaning attached to any word can
be used as a tool to change the entire meaning of
Scripture, and therefore make it acceptable to this
new religion. Most people won’t know the difference;
and this was another one of the times where he said,
‘the few who do notice the difference won’t be
enough to matter.’ Then followed one of the most
surprising statements of the whole presentation: He
said, ‘Some of you probably think the churches won’t
stand for this,’ and he went on to say, ‘the churches
will help us!’ There was no elaboration on this, it
was unclear just what he had in mind when he said,
‘the churches will help us!’ In retrospect I think some
of us now can understand what he might have meant
at that time. I recall then only of thinking, ‘no they
won’t!’ and remembering our Lord’s words where he
said to Peter, ‘Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will
build my church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail
against it.’ So … yes, some people in the churches
might help. And in the subsequent 20 years we’ve
seen how some people in churches have helped. But
we also know that our Lord’s words will stand, and
the gates of Hell will not prevail.” 1
There is certainly a large part of the modern church
helping the globalist agenda today just as this man
predicted. However, the Lord is still calling his true
church to “come out from among them and be you
separate.” He promises: “Touch not the unclean
thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father
unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty” (II Cor. 6:17-18).

THE ALTAR, THE LAMP, THE OIL by donnie swaggart
The Lord has called SonLife Broadcasting Network to not only bring back to the
church the Message of the Cross, but to also introduce to the evangelical world the
great message of Pentecost. As well, we are called to reintroduce the Holy Spirit to
those who call themselves Pentecostal, but are Pentecostal in name only.
Without the help,
the leading, and
the anointing of
the Holy Spirit,
the believer and
the church will
accomplish little
for the Lord.
Exodus 27:20-21 – “And you shall command the
Children of Israel, that they bring you pure oil
olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp
to burn always.
“In the tabernacle of the congregation without
the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron
and his sons shall order it from evening to
morning before the Lord: it shall be a statute
forever unto their generations on the behalf of
the Children of Israel.”
WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
Without the help, the leading, and the anointing
of the Holy Spirit, the believer and the church will
accomplish little for the Lord. All through the Bible
we see the importance of the Holy Spirit. The text
that serves as the basis of this article, which deals
with the plans of the Tabernacle, gives us a glimpse
of the importance of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is a person, a real being who thinks,
acts, wills, feels, loves, speaks, and can be grieved.
The Holy Spirit exhibits all the responses that
identify one as a person. Though He cannot be
seen by the natural eye, He definitely can be felt.
16
JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
The Holy Spirit is also deity; He is the third person
of the Godhead, the Trinity. He is not one of three
Gods or one-third of God, for God cannot be
divided. God is one God (Deut. 6:4; I Jn. 5:7), yet He
is externally self-existing in three distinct persons:
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each of
these three persons is fully God, and each of these
persons is fully God, yet, each is fully God, and each
is an individual person within Himself. The Father
is God, Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God.
MANY NAMES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Throughout Scripture, the Holy Spirit has
revealed Himself by many different names. Some
of those names are: “the Spirit of God” (I Cor.
3:16), “the Spirit of His Son” (Gal. 4:6), “the Spirit
of Grace and of Supplications” (Zech. 12:10), “the
Spirit of Wisdom and Knowledge” (Isa. 11:2), “the
Spirit of Truth” (Jn. 14:16-17), “the Spirit of Life”
(Rom. 8:2), and one of my favorite names, “the
Comforter” (Jn. 14:16).
SYMBOLS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
There are five symbols given in God’s Word that
represent the varied works of the Holy Spirit.
Visit my website at www.donnieswaggart.org
THE ALTAR, THE LAMP, THE OIL
They are:
1. The Dove: this speaks of the gentleness and
meekness of the Holy Spirit (Lk. 3:22).
2. Living Water: this speaks of life. Just as the
physical man must have water to live, so too
must our spirit man have the living water of
the Holy Spirit to live (Jn. 7:37-39).
3. Wind: this speaks of the power of the Holy
Spirit (Acts 2:2).
4. Fire: this speaks of purity (Mat. 3:11).
5. Oil: this speaks of the anointing of the Holy
Spirit and the illumination and light that
shines upon Christ and His Word (James
5:14-16, Ex. 27:20-21).
The oil was the fuel source for the golden lampstand, and as is obvious, this tells us that the Holy
Spirit is the fuel source needed to bring illumination. Notice that the illumination of the light from
the golden lampstand brought light upon the altar.
The work of the Holy Spirit is to bring light to
Jesus Christ. In John 16:13 and 14, the Lord said:
“Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He
will guide you into all truth: For He shall not speak
of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall
He speak: And He will show you things to come.
He shall glorify Me: For He shall receive of Mine,
and shall shew it unto you.”
Is your lamp
burning brightly?
Do you replenish
THE TABERNACLE
the oil daily? We
Beginning with Exodus, Chapter 25, we find the
instructions given to Moses for the Tabernacle.
Verse 1 of Chapter 27 begins with the words, “And
thou shalt make an altar.”
must have a neverending source
of oil flowing
THE ALTAR
constantly.
The altar speaks of the Cross. Calvary is the foundation of Christianity. The Cross is not just another
doctrine of the Bible, but it is the foundation by
which all Bible doctrine flows. The only way one
can get to the Father is through the Son, and the
only way to get to the Son is through Calvary.
As stated, the light generated by the Holy Spirit
illuminated the altar or, in other words, the Cross.
Without the help of the Holy Spirit, you will never be
able to see the complete victory of the Cross. Without the oil, the church has no light, only darkness.
Then, Verse 1 states, “The altar shall be foursquare.” Each corner of the altar pointed north,
south, east, and west, telling us that it is the same
Gospel for all of mankind, for all of humanity’s
problem is the same, and that is sin.
Twice a day Aaron and his sons were commanded
to bring fresh oil to replenish the golden lampstand. This tells us that the oil of the Spirit in our
lives is to be replenished daily. We can’t live off
past movings of the Holy Spirit. We must have the
oil replenished every day of our lives.
THE LAMPSTAND
In front of the altar was the golden lampstand.
The golden lampstand was the only means of light
in the Tabernacle. Without the lampstand, the
priests could not see properly to do their work.
Then, Verse 20 tells us “to cause the lamp to
burn always.” The light was never to go out; it
was to burn 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
and 365 days a year.
THE OIL
Is your lamp burning brightly? Do you replenish
the oil daily? We must have a never-ending source
of oil flowing constantly.
Verse 20 states, “You shall command the Children of Israel that they bring you pure oil olive,
beaten for light.”
In closing, the church needs the oil of the Holy Spirit
as never before, and thanks be to God, the oil is
available to any and all who will seek God for it.

For those of you who are not familiar with digital television, these are free “old fashioned TV channels” that are able to be picked up with a digital tuner
and antenna. Most new televisions are equipped with built-in digital tuners or you can purchase a tuner from your local electronics store (Best Buy®,
Radio Shack®, etc.). As well, you can purchase the proper antenna at your local electronics store. Many viewers under the broadcast signal of the
television station can use a small, digital antenna inside the home. For those on the outer edge of the signal or to receive the best signal, an outdoor
antenna may be required. Both indoor and outdoor antennas are available for less than $50!

FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER SERVICE
WILL BE LONG REMEMBERED
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, last evening’s service was the
most awesomely anointed I have been in, in years. It started
when Martha sang “I Lost It All To Find Everything.” I started
crying and I haven’t cried in years. The message of that was
very much what had happened to me. Then Brother Borg’s
message was right on. Then prayer time began and the
presence of the Lord came down. Everyone singing softly,
tears running down faces, and they were running down my
face and I wasn’t even there; the anointing was so strong we
could feel it in Texas! The worship songs that Robin led were
so anointed; it felt like you could cut the atmosphere with a
knife. I won’t forget this service for a long time. May God
continue to use Family Worship Center like this.

DAUGHTER LEAVES HOMOSEXUAL
LIFESTYLE AND RETURNS TO CHRIST
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, I love your program and I
am so grateful to JSM for the spiritual food that I receive
through the Ministry. Last week, you read a question from
the mother of a homosexual/transgender child who said she
didn’t know what to do concerning her child. Well, I was
that homosexual daughter. Not hers, but one. I was raised
in a Christian home, went to a Christian school, even went
to youth conventions every year at FWC, but I took my eyes
off Jesus somewhere along the way. I began a 13-year exile
in spiritual Egypt with homosexuality and drug use. I found
myself lonely, destitute and far from my family. But praise
God, not too far from His loving hand! In a lonely hotel room,
I cried out to God, “I’m sorry! I am wrong!” and the Lord
heard my cry and I tell you, right there, at that moment, Jesus
was in the room with me, and immediately I felt in my heart
Him saying, “I never left.” I have been clean from drugs and
alcohol for 15 months now, serving the Lord with my whole
heart and desiring nothing but His will for my life! What a
mighty God we serve! But I must say to that parent of the
28 JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
homosexual: don’t stop loving. But never
compromise the Word of God! Never! My
wonderful mother, how I know she prayed,
loved me, but always spoke the truth in love! And
I tell you, the truth really does set you free! God
bless you, Sister Frances, and all the Ministry at JSM!
Through you, I get my daily bread! Praise be to God!

INMATES ON DEATH ROW MINISTERED
TO BY JSM READING MATERIAL
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, your family and your Ministry are impacting the world and are feeding the saved and
saving the lost! May the Lord continue to keep His hand upon
your amazing family and each member of your Ministry. The
Lord has given me a small prison ministry for the last 30 or
so years, predominately in the area of death row inmates. I
send them The Expositors Study Bible, The Evangelist, and
study guides. A born-again, beautiful, Christ-loving death
row inmate told me that he reads his Evangelist cover to cover
and then passes it to the other death row inmates. One of the
men asked him if he might send it on to his elderly aunt after
it made the rounds around the row! Since all inspirational
channels have been removed by the prison from their TVs,
The Evangelist is the only message that is reaching the total
population! Praise God. “The gates of hell shall not prevail”!
Glory to God and blessings to SonLife!

MOTHER ACCEPTS CHRIST AS SAVIOUR;
TWO ADULT CHILDREN FOLLOW SUIT
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, I am a 48-year-old woman
who grew up not knowing anything about the Word of God,
not even one Bible story. On Feb. 27, 2011, I accepted Christ
as my Saviour and immediately my whole world changed.
This is the greatest thing that could ever have happened
to me. I was also blessed because within a month my adult
son followed in receiving Christ, and then within another
month my adult daughter was saved. God blessed me with
two children and I praise Him and thank him daily for my
blessings, with the greatest being Him saving me and my
two babies. Which leads me to my reason for writing: I
wanted to let you know that I had learned of your Ministry
shortly after being saved and I watch it every day, even on
my computer. I also was blessed enough to get the opportunity to visit your church back in October during Gabe’s
Youth Rally. Since I visited, I have had moving there on my
mind, but that’s another story. I will continue to watch you
daily, and I appreciate your obedience to God and having
the broadcast. I would be lost without it.

BELIEVER BLESSED BY SBN; INVITED
TO MEDIA CHURCH BY UK MEMBER
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, I just want to thank you
and thank God for such a powerful Ministry. I tuned in to
“Frances and Friends” the other night and it was so powerful, I just watched for the whole hour and I couldn’t move.
It’s like the power of God held me there. I went to church
Sunday morning (I’m a practicing Holy Ghost filled Pentecostal believer) and I just didn’t enjoy the services. I haven’t
been enjoying church for a while. But I went to a sister’s
house (she no longer attends our church, she’s a Media
[Church] Member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and she has
church in her living room) and I joined her for service. And
I tell you, it was powerful and anointed, and when we took
Communion, the power of God just came into my heart and
lifted every burden! Praise God!

FORGIVENESS, JOB OPPORTUNITY
FOLLOW SHARE-A-THON DONATION
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, one week after making a
donation to the March Share-a-thon, the Holy Spirit gave me
the strength to call a family member I was angry with and
tell him I forgave him. The Holy Spirit also has me praying
that this family member will be delivered from evil spirits that
have him bound and that he will be saved. After making the
donation, I also found a link to a job opportunity which will
allow me to stay home with the new baby, as this was one
of the things I had been praying for. I cannot thank God
enough for Jesus and the blood that washed away my sins,
for without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, I would not be
free. I am thankful for your programs.

“Go
“ ye into all the world, and preach
the Gospel to every creature.”
- Mark 16:15
World Evangelism Fellowship was born out of a
deep desire of Christians from all denominational
backgrounds to reach the world with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. It was realized that when churches and
ministries band together under the anointing of the
Holy Spirit to attack the strongholds of Satan, much
can be accomplished.
This is the reason World Evangelism Fellowship was
formed – to channel the efforts of churches and
preachers from all over the United States, Canada,
and the world into a unified, proven plan to reach the
lost and dying with the Good News of the Gospel.
The call of God to win the lost is clear. World Evangelism Fellowship is answering that call and we would
like to extend an invitation to you to join us. This is
not a Denomination, and we pray it never will be. It is,
however, a fellowship of ministers and churches united
in their efforts to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
How do I, as an individual, affiliate with World
Evangelism Fellowship?
There are several ways to join World Evangelism
Fellowship, and the method you choose depends
on what God has called you to do.
• Christian Worker • Licensed Minister
•Ordained Minister •Church Affiliation

THE EXAMPLE OF EZRA by loren larson
Ezra 7:10 - “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and
to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.”
Ezra was known, both in his day and ours, as a scribe, a leader,
a man of integrity, and a man greatly used of God. Behind
every great man or woman of God, you will find a common
denominator. That is, there will be a manifested love for God
and His Word. Notice the simple steps that Ezra followed
in our text above.
1. He prepared his heart to discover the truths of God’s Word.
2. He applied those concepts and precepts to his daily life.
Ezra was not content to just learn God’s Word; he was
determined to live out God’s Word, to experience how
this might be done, and what challenges and benefits
were involved.
3. He would then take his experiential knowledge of God’s
Word and share his insight with others, training others
to lead flourishing, fruit bearing Christian lives. This is
the example we attempt to follow and pass on to the
students of WEBC&S:
a. prepare your heart to learn the Word;
b. to do it; and
c. to share this knowledge with others.
THE NEED OF THE CHRISTIAN
The experiences needed to live the Christian life are relatively
simple ones. However, I fear that in our postmodern church
age, we have ignored the need for, or have been ignorant to,
the truth of what they are. They have never changed from
the time of the first century church. The individual must first
have had a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that
resulted in redemption. Regeneration, being born again,
30
JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
is the first experience required. Secondly, the new believer
should immediately and actively seek after the baptism with
the Holy Spirit with great urgency. The baptism with the Holy
Spirit is always accompanied by the initial physical evidence
of speaking with other tongues. The fullness of the Spirit is
needed to both become what God desires and to perform
the function that God asks of us as believers. Thirdly, the
knowledge of how to live for God under the principles of
grace and not law must be acquired. The process of grace
and faith demands a constant connection to the finished
work of Christ (the Cross) as the object of one’s faith. The
goal of this knowledge must be the pursuit of holiness and
righteousness, and to learn to rise above the weight and sin
that does so easily beset the believer. Once these principles
and experiences are embraced and encountered, the believer
has not arrived at a state of perfection. He has simply been
properly discipled to step out into this ungodly age and live,
and then proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
WEBC&S GOALS FOR ITS STUDENTS
Those who choose to attend WEBC&S will be discipled with the
above principles in mind. In this past school year (2013-2014),
we have been experiencing an amazing move of the Holy Spirit.
We have seen students baptized with the Holy Spirit right in the
middle of classes, with the Holy Spirit interrupting the status
quo of the class and doing a special work in the hearts of all
who were there. Enrollment for this upcoming year is going
on right now! Has God called you to discipleship? Has he
called you to ministry? Let the Holy Spirit guide you always,
but if He is tugging at your heart to be a part of this move of
God, call today (225) 768-3890.
Why WEBC&S?
““I got saved listening to SonLife Radio while in 23-hour lockdown in prison. I couldn’t go to church and knew nothing
about Jesus or the Word of God. Hearing the Message of the
Cross for the first time, I asked Jesus to forgive me of all my
sins and into my heart. I got baptized in the Holy Spirit two
days later listening to SonLife in my cell. After I found out
about WEBC, I knew I was to attend. I spent two and a half
more years in prison, then was released. God opened up all
the doors I needed to get to WEBC. Since I’ve been here, I’ve
never experienced such love and joy from the professors and
students. WEBC is the real deal! They teach the Word of God
with no sugar-coating and allow the Holy Spirit to have His
way. If you want to have a closer relationship with Jesus, and
learn the Word of God, then WEBC is the place!”
— Zac Smith texas

people gave, I was able to hear a message that would save my
life. I was hooked on drugs, just diagnosed with anxiety and
depression with thoughts of suicide, and in my fourth year of
cage fighting. It was during this time that the Lord began to
reveal His Word to me through SBN. Within one year, the Lord
healed me, broke every addiction, revealed the Message of the
Cross to me, and called me to Bible college here at WEBC.
Many more like me are waiting!”
— Steven Tidwell louisiana
““I never thought the Message of the Cross would literally rewrite
my life so entirely. I was excited to come here to WEBC, but to
be honest, I was more desperate than excited. I had just come
right out of high school depressed, oppressed, and defeated by
the constant failures in my life with every intention of pleasing
God. So, if the only one-word question you have been asking
God lately is, ‘Why?’ come to World Evangelism Bible College. I
can testify that you will get your answer from God here.”
— Jonathan Wint georgia
““Coming to World Evangelism Bible College & Seminary is
the best thing I’ve done in my Christian walk. I gained so
much from just coming here and being a part of the classes.
The atmosphere of praise and joy that one can experience is
worth coming for alone, but I have gained more than that.
I received the revelation of the Message of the Cross and
gained a greater in-depth study of the Word of God. My faith
increased while attending classes here at WEBC&S where
spiritual direction is taught, experienced, and worth every
moment of time spent here.”
— Joseph Evans indiana
““I am grateful and thankful for this opportunity to share with
others how WEBC has blessed my life. The Message of the
Cross is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it has been awesome
to go in depth, Scripture by Scripture, with the professors. I
began learning the Message of the Cross from SBN. Due to
the broadcast, I had a little bit of understanding of what the
Lord Jesus had done for me at Calvary. When I began my
first semester here at WEBC, the professors confirmed a lot
of what was being taught on the broadcast. The professors
provide a lot of information and inspiration for us. I am
grateful to God for these men to allow Him to use them in the
gift of teaching.”
— Melvin Gray mississippi
““I am so thankful that the Lord led me to WEBC&S. In my time
here, I have grown a closer walk with the Lord, received the
baptism in the Holy Spirit, and have come to the revelation
knowledge of the Message of the Cross. I appreciate all the
staff and the professors allowing the freedom for the movement
and operation of the Holy Spirit in the classrooms and chapel
services. For this reason, I believe this college stands out among
all the others, for He, the Holy Spirit, is the great teacher.”
— Daniel Evans indiana
““The impact that WEBC&S has had on my walk with the Lord,
and the contribution that it has made to my ministry, goes far
beyond what words can convey. The professors are anointed
by the Holy Spirit and hand-chosen by the Lord to take truths
from the Word of God and relay them to the student body in a
way which is applicable and easy to understand. My time here
has been well spent and I look forward to what the Lord has
in store for my future as I continue on with the foundation in
which my life has been built upon through WEBC&S!”
— Asher Webber missouri
““Coming to WEBC has been the greatest blessing of my life.
Although born and raised in a Christian home and attended
church all of my life, I still found myself being defeated and
controlled by the sin nature. Upon being taught at WEBC that,
“The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death (Rom. 8:2),” I began to start
living a victorious life without the sin nature reigning. I have
experienced the more abundant life that Christ promised to
give during my time here at WEBC.”
— Adam Cubbage virginia
““I’d like to testify on how the true Gospel message, taught
and ministered at this Bible college, has changed my views
and theology of God’s written Word. It has placed in me a
deeper love and a clearer picture of what God’s truths really
are and what He has accomplished at the Cross for everyone
who chooses to believe and embrace the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord has placed men and women of God here to minister
and teach the leading voices of the next generation. I cannot
stress how important it is that we have these ministers and
teachers emphasizing the truth of the Gospel message to us. It
is my prayer that if you come across this little testimony, that
it touches your spirit and you seek after more of God and the
truth of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

NO CONDEMNATION part iv by gabriel swaggart
Walking after the flesh and walking after the Spirit are little understood in the church world today,
especially when it comes to our youth groups and our youth pastors. Many do not understand
what it means to walk after the flesh, or how to properly walk after the Spirit, which is what we
will continue to address in this article.
Walking after
the Spirit simply
means to place
your faith in Christ
and what He did
at Calvary.
Rom. 8:1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation (guilt) to them which are in Christ
Jesus (refers back to Romans 6:3-5 and our
being baptized into His death, which speaks
of the Crucifixion), who walk not after the
flesh (depending on one’s personal strength
and ability or great religious efforts in order
to overcome sin), but after the Spirit (the
Holy Spirit works exclusively within the legal
confines of the finished work of Christ; our
faith in that finished work, i.e., “the Cross,”
guarantees the help of the Holy Spirit, which
guarantees victory).”
We have covered much ground regarding
this all-important subject, which we will complete in this month’s article. This is a subject,
which, in reality, is never exhausted, for once
you dive in, you learn so much more. As one
individual stated, “You can never exhaust the
Cross,” and that individual is correct. We
have covered several topics from this one
verse, and we will conclude with the subject
of “walking after the Spirit.” What does that
mean? How does one walk after the Spirit?
How does the Holy Spirit work? I pray that
this article will strengthen you and help you
in your walk with the Lord.
32
JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO
WALK AFTER THE SPIRIT?
When people see or hear the term, “walking after the Spirit,” many have an incorrect
assumption as to what this really is. We must
address this first and foremost. Walking after
the Spirit is not the doing of religious things
or following after religious disciplines, which
is what most would assume. Many think that
walking after the Spirit refers to reading the
Bible, praying so much per day, witnessing
to people, etc. As good as these Christian
disciplines are, and they are things that all
believers should want to do, this is not walking after the Spirit. Walking after the Spirit
simply means to place your faith in Christ and
what He did at Calvary, which gives the Holy
Spirit the legal means to work in your life in
the way that He so desires. In other words,
the only way that the Holy Spirit will work to
bring about the victory that is needed is by
the believer looking unto Jesus, the author
and the finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:1). It all
goes back to the Cross, for it is through the
finished work of Christ alone that the help of
the Holy Spirit is guaranteed.

NO CONDEMNATION part iv
EVERYTHING YOU RECEIVE FROM
THE LORD WAS PAID FOR BY CHRIST
THROUGH THE MEANS OF THE CROSS
Now, we must take a moment to explain what
it means when we speak of placing our faith in
Christ and what He did at Calvary. Once again,
this is not a mantra that we say over and over
again, and this is not some lucky charm, but rather
it is a way of life. To place our faith in Christ and
what He did at Calvary simply means that we
believe everything we receive from the Godhead
was paid for by Jesus Christ through what He did
at Calvary’s Cross.
Many years ago, I was just starting out in ministry. I had not been the youth pastor of Crossfire
for very long; in fact, it had only been a couple of
months, if not weeks. I had felt led of the Lord
to begin teaching on Romans, Chapter 6, in our
weekly Crossfire services. As would have been
obvious, I had tons of questions regarding the
sin nature, the Cross of Christ, and how to live
for the Lord. I can remember sitting behind my
desk, studying my grandfather’s commentary on
the book of Romans, and the questions began
to flood my mind. I got up from behind my
desk, and I walked into my grandfather’s office,
where he was diligently working on another
commentary. As I walked in, I sat down in one
of the seats that is in his office and asked him,
“Papaw, what does it mean to place your faith
in Christ and the Cross?” I had read it, but for
whatever reason, I could not wrap my mind
around it. It was all so new to me. He leaned
back in his leather chair, placed his feet upon his
desk, and with a huge smile, responded with the
following: “Placing your faith in Christ and what
He did at Calvary simply means to believe that
everything that you will ever receive from God,
from salvation to everyday blessings, excluding
none, was paid for by Jesus Christ through His
work on Calvary’s Cross.” I sat there in that chair,
and something clicked. That was it. I got it! I
finally had an understanding of what it meant
to place my faith in Christ and what He did at
Calvary. He then added, “This is how the Holy
Spirit can work in your life. He cannot work
through any other means.” It all made sense
now. I understood it. The Holy Spirit works
through the Cross of Christ.
WHAT DOES THE HOLY
SPIRIT DEMAND FROM US?
Once again, I want to reiterate that the Holy Spirit
does not demand much from us, as would be
apparent, but He does demand that our faith ever
be anchored in Christ and what He did at Calvary.
That is what walking after the Spirit means, and that is
how the Holy Spirit, who is God, works in our hearts
and lives. Now, the Holy Spirit is God, and He can
do things in our hearts and lives that are astounding
and helpful. However, if our faith is not fastened and
secured in Christ and what He did at Calvary, then
He will be extremely limited as to what He can do.
We must make certain that our faith is supremely and
exclusively anchored, fastened, and secured in Christ
and what He did at Calvary. It cannot be hinged on
anything else, for if it is, it will only spell disaster.
MORE ABUNDANT LIFE
Jesus Himself promised that we should have life,
and life more abundant (Jn. 10:10), but many Christians are not experiencing this more abundant life.
They are experiencing a life that is filled with failure
after failure and disappointment after disappointment. Their lives resemble a roller coaster — up
one moment and down the next. Dear reader, you
must believe and understand that this type of living
is not the will of God for you. It is not the will of God
for any believer to live a life of constant sinning and
repenting. Rather, it is the will of God that every
believer live and enjoy this more abundant life. The
good news is that it can be done, but it can only
be done God’s way, which is the Cross of Christ. I
promise you that this more abundant life is not a
life of constant struggle, but it is one of constant
victory over the world, the flesh, and the Devil. It is
a life where sin does not have dominion over you,
but rather the Holy Spirit has dominion over you.
The only way that we as believers are to live a life
of total and complete victory is by walking after
the Spirit, which has to do with where our faith is
placed. That is what walking after the Spirit really
is about. It is the believer placing his faith in Christ
and what He did for us at Calvary, leaving it there,
and not looking to anything else. Jesus Christ can
provide all that you need. Jesus Christ is the source,
and the Cross is the means by which we receive all
blessings. Faith is the key that unlocks the door,
and the Holy Spirit oversees everything.
It is the will of
God that every
believer live and
enjoy this more
abundant life.

THE LAND IS MINE part i by john rosenstern
Leviticus 25:23 - “The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and
sojourners with me. And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.”
THE MIDDLE EAST HAS been a festering powder keg for
centuries. Now, more than ever, it seems ripe for an all-out confrontation between Israel and her surrounding Muslim neighbors.
The land — comprised of modern Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Syria,
Lebanon, Iraq, and small parts of other neighboring countries —
was promised by God, in the Bible, to Israel. Events in the last
100 years have shaped the modern real estate of the Middle East.
However, there’s one small parcel of land in the Middle East that
is still in dispute: Israel. What legitimate claim do the Jews have
to their land? Do the Palestinian people truly have a history in
this land and therefore a right of succession? How does God
figure into this equation? I hope to address these questions and
many others as we explore from the Bible what God has to say
about the land ownership and whose right it is to claim the land.
I believe a careful evaluation of this matter will expose the root of
the problem that existed from the time of Abraham unto this day.
GOD’S LAND
“The land is Mine,” was a declaration by God to Israel, and to
us all, that there is a legitimate landowner. Throughout the
Bible, God establishes who owns the land, to whom the land is
promised, and the conditions that must be obeyed to remain
in possession of the land known as Israel. History has proven
the land has been possessed or controlled by many different
nations at many different times. Right now, the land is possessed by Israelis and Palestinians. However, the influence from
the surrounding nations of Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Saudi
Arabia; and the United States, England, Russia, and many other
nations, including the United Nations, have played a crucial
role toward resolving who they think should possess the land.
ISRAEL RETURNS
Modern Israel was formed on May 14, 1948, in postulation of the
United Nations’ decision to partition the land between Israel and
the Palestinian people. A two-state solution was determined as
34 JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
the peaceful resolution for the disputed land. The Palestinian’s
rejected Israel’s right to be a nation and protested by refusing
to form their nation. Israel declared her independence, and
the birth of modern Israel took her first traumatic breath with
a struggle to survive, not just as a nation, but also as a people.
The confederate Muslim armies of the newly shaped Middle
East immediately sought to destroy Israel and prevent her from
being a nation. Efforts by Nazi Germany during World War II
failed to abort the Jews while they were in the womb of hope
of being a nation. Adolph Hitler, while accompanied by his
Muslim companions, Haj Amin al Husseini and Hasan al Banna,
formulated the Final Solution to exterminate Jews from the
planet. Although nearly 6 million Jews died during Hitler’s reign
of terror, Jews drew strength from their survival as a people,
and hopes of being a nation once again finally became reality.
OCCUPATION TERMS
“The land is Mine” will consider God’s covenant promises to
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. These patriarchs of old were given
immutable promises that their seed would have “lease” rights
to God’s land forever. The conditions were clearly spelled out
by God and the terms were not to be broken lest the tenant
suffer temporary eviction. Each dispensation of the generations
that succeeded Abraham was given responsibilities to satisfy
the land lease terms. Dwelling in the land with obedience had
many privileges and benefits though. Unlike today where an
apartment renter my get cable TV and electric thrown in as part
of the lease package, Israel was promised financial prosperity,
good health, and peace amongst itself and its enemies. In fact,
the whole world was promised these benefits as long as Israel
remained obedient to the lease terms and remained in the land.
NO PEACE
Today Jews dwell in the land promised by God to her forefathers; yet she is without peace. The world speaks of peace at
THE LAND IS MINE part i
every forum and conclave; yet it is without
peace. What peace is and what constitutes peace will be addressed throughout
this article series, “The Land is Mine,” to
illustrate how true and lasting peace can
be achieved and maintained by individuals, and the nations of the world.
of the land. The day is coming soon when
Israel will reign in God’s righteousness
and possess God’s land in peace. Only
then will there be world peace (Deut.
30:1-6; Isa. 11:11-16).
History has demonstrated that under the
leadership of dictators, monarchs, and
governments there have been times of
peace. However, during those times,
financial prosperity, personal health, and
freedom were not obtained by everyone.
Even while under Pax Romana, the Roman
Empire sustained a façade of peace.
Rome’s egregious emperors ruled in dictatorial fashion by subduing surrounding
countries and demoralizing the general
public at will while heralding this as peace
(?) For us to laudably claim peace on earth
and good will toward man, while using
corrupt governments as our guide, is as
foolish as putting a compass in your car
and planning to drive your car to the moon.
There are three faiths in the world that
trace their origins to Abraham. Jews,
Christians and Muslims all claim father
Abraham to be of vast significance to
the establishment of their beliefs. Jews
and Christians obtain the majority of
their knowledge about Abraham from
the Old Testament of the Bible, also
called the Tanakh in Hebrew. Muslims
hold to the Quran as their sacred book.
Muslims believe their prophet Muhammad received revelations from Allah, his
god, and memorized Allah’s instruction
and then dictated the sayings to others.
ABRAHAM
The name of Israel is mentioned more
than 1,600 times throughout the Bible
while Jerusalem is mentioned more than
800 times in the Bible. The city of Jerusalem is called the City of David more than
40 times. There should be little argument
to the significance of Israel and Jerusalem
for God’s sake, according to the Bible.
God’s immutable promise to Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob and his children, and David
will not be broken or substituted by the
Christian church. God has a plan to bring
Israel to its rightful and legal possession
The Quran is written is suras, similar to
chapters. The verses of the Quran are
called ayats. There are 114 suras in the
Quran. The structure of the chapters is
not in histological or chronological order.
The suras, with the exception of the first
one, are arranged by length. Chapter two
is the longest, on down to the last sura.
Due to the lack of chronology, the Quran
is not designed to be a story. The very
name Quran means “to recite.” It is more
a book of commands than a storyline of
historical events. The hadiths — sayings
and traditions of Muhammad — were
assembled by followers of Muhammad
after his death. The Hadiths provide some
historical perspective that transpired
throughout Muhammad’s life. The hadiths
explain the historical events in the Quran.
In Sura 6:74, the Quran claims Abraham’s
father’s name was Azar and not Terah as
in the Bible (Gen. 11:24, 31). Sura 14:37
says Abraham worshipped in the valley of
Mecca. Mecca is located in modern day
Saudi Arabia. A distance of more than
750 miles separates Mecca from Israel.
ISRAEL’S RIGHT IN THE LAND
There are many claims to the land of Israel.
Muslims claim Jerusalem houses their
third holiest site. The world recognized
Jerusalem as an international city. The
Bible declares Jerusalem will be a “burdensome stone for all people.” Middle
East peace has plagued every president
since the founding of the United States
of America. The expansion of the U.S.
Navy after the Revolutionary War was to
free our seafaring mercantilists from the
Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coasts.
the Quran. Both accounts contradict each
other. They are mutually incompatible.
Later these revelations were compiled
into a book after Muhammad’s death and
called the Quran. Muslims believe Jews
and Christians twisted and perverted the
original meaning of the Bible. Therefore,
Allah sent down the Quran to bring back
the proper understanding of his will for
man. In Islam, Muhammad is revered
above all prophets and is considered
to be the last and greatest of all prophets. Muslims also revere Abraham as a
prophet and a version of his life is found
throughout the Quran. Abraham’s name
occurs 69 times in the Quran, making
him the second most occurring name
of prophets in the Quran after Moses.
There are many fundamental differences
between the Bible story of Abraham and
In Gen. 13:18, the Bible clearly says Abraham worshipped Jehovah God in Hebron.
The well-known story of how Abraham
was commanded by God to offer Isaac as
a sacrifice is detailed throughout Chapter
22 of Genesis. Jehovah God made it very
clear that Abraham was to take his “only
son Isaac” into the land of Moriah and
offer him there for a burnt offering. Isaac
was God’s child of promise. It was to be
through Isaac’s lineage that God’s promise
to Abraham would manifest. The contravening testimony of the Quran teaches
in Sura 37:100-112, that Abraham offered
Ishmael and not Isaac as a sacrifice.
Two more important discrepancies that
distinguish the Bible from the Quran are
not found in the Bible. In fact they are
ambiguous and historically incorrect. The
Quran claims Abraham built the Kabah
(Sura 2:125-127). The Kabah was located
in Mecca and was the shrine where 360
gods were worshipped amongst the Arab

SBN CONTINUES TO GROW
By the time you read this, we should have added 2 million
more homes, located in Southern California. Of course,
I’m speaking of the SonLife Broadcasting Network, which
means television available 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. As well, we’ve just gone on television in the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
Also, we’ve just added 8 million more homes in Germany,
making a total of some 25 million in that particular country. Incidentally, we are now covering about 74 million
homes in the United States. Other areas are pending, and
we will give you the information as soon as it is finalized.
FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER MEDIA CHURCH
Even though I have mentioned this a time or two in the
past, please allow the repetition.
Every Sunday morning, Donnie, Frances, and Gabriel read
out the names of all the people who have just joined Family
Worship Center Media Church. How so pleased and happy
we are to have you.
We read the first name of the individual plus the country
or the state. We do not call out the name of the town in
which you live so that we may protect your privacy. However, please understand, we are so happy to have you in
the Family Worship Center Media family, which includes
people from all over the world. Our task is great, but our
God is able.
TITHING
People write constantly and ask me where they should pay
their tithe. Actually, the answer to that is very simple.
You should support that which feeds you. Wherever you
are getting spiritually fed, wherever you are learning the
36 JULY 2014 THE EVANGELIST
Word of God, and wherever you are being blessed, that is
where you owe your support.
Incidentally, some ask the question as to what the requirements are to become a member of Family Worship Center
Media Church.
The answer to that, as well, is very simple: we just require
that you be born again. I came to the conclusion a long
time ago that if such is satisfactory for the Lord, it certainly
should be satisfactory with us.
Some have asked as to how much money it costs.
There is no charge. Of course, we believe if you are blessed
in the Lord and that SonLife Broadcasting Network is a
blessing to you, you will give in support of that blessing.
However, that’s between you and the Lord.
THE GREAT-GRANDKIDS
The older I get, the more I love these children. I speak of
Sam, Ryder, Abby, Lola, Harper, and Harrison. Of course,
I’m also speaking of the newest great-granddaughter,
Caroline Frances.
As I dictate these notes, she just started sitting alone the
other day. She can’t quite pull herself up now, and as she
falls, she doesn’t know how to stop it yet, but she’s coming
along. To be sure, my eyes are not big enough to see her, or
any one of the great-grandchildren for that matter.
OUR FIELD IS THE WORLD
I mean that literally. I believe the Lord has instructed me
to place the television programming in every city in the
world that will accept it. That’s what we are attempting
to do. As well, I thank the Lord more than I have words
to express for the emails and the testimonies that we are
getting from people being saved, baptized with the Holy

Spirit, healed, and delivered by the power of God. I
believe it is only the beginning. I believe we are about
to see a harvest of souls such as we have never known
before. I also believe this is going to be the last great
move before the coming Great Tribulation. Of course,
between now and then, we are expecting the Rapture
of the church. I realize that most in modern churches
do not believe in the Rapture, with most of them not
even knowing anything about it. However, I believe
it’s clear in the Word of God, and I believe it’s definitely going to happen.
Incidentally, if one believes in the Resurrection, then
one believes in the Rapture. They are two words for
the same event (I Thess. 4:13-18; I Cor., Chpt. 15).
OFFERS
I would pray that you would take full advantage
of the offers that we’re making in this issue of The
Evangelist. We believe that we have some of the finest
material in the world regarding the subject matter at
hand. Everything we produce, we do our very best to
make it quality. In other words, this is for the Lord,
so it should be the best. I’m speaking not only of the
content, but the product itself.
A dear lady wrote the other day and stated, “Brother
Swaggart, everything we get from your ministry is
quality.” Then she went on to say, “I can’t say the
same about all others.”
We want you to be blessed.

Bedouins. Muhammad’s family was the caretaker of the
Kabah, according to Islamic tradition. One of the gods of
the Kabah was Allah. Muhammad’s father was named after
Allah. It is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. The only
remote similarity in the stories of Abraham and Isaac in the
Bible and Quran are simply their names.
The other story of Abraham’s life taken from the Quran is
a claim that he was thrown into a furnace by Nimrod (Sura
21:68-69 and 9:69). This fairy tale is not found in the Bible
but is plagiarized by Muhammad from Jewish tradition.
This story is found in the Midrash Rabbah.
The Bible gives a lengthy story of Abraham and the promises of God to him and his seed. The calling of Abraham
came to him while he was a Gentile living in Ur of the
Chaldees. Ur of the Chaldees was located in modern day
Iraq, not far from Babylon. God instructed Abraham to
leave his family and go to a land that God would show him.
The promise of God to Abraham begins with a destination — Canaan land — known today as modern Israel or
Palestine. We can immediately observe from the call to
Abraham that it is linked to a promised land. The promises
given by God to Abraham required his obedience to God.
If Abraham would leave his family and father’s house and
travel to the land God would show him, then Abraham
would become a great nation, and his name would be
blessed, and he would be a blessing to the world. God
would add to the promise given to Abraham with a special
blessing to those who would bless Abraham. Likewise,
God would curse those who cursed Abraham.
Abraham was to leave the worship of idols and separate
himself from his family unto God. In order to better
comprehend the deep meaning associated with Abraham’s relationship to God, we must first understand
how Abraham worshipped God through sacrifices. The
first evidence we have of Abraham sacrificing to God is
when Abraham passed through the land of Canaan. God
appeared to Abraham and strengthened His promise to
him by telling him that his seed, children, and future posterity, would also inherit the land. Abraham built an altar unto
God. The Hebrew for altar means “a place of slaughter,”
signifying a place used for sacrifices. The sacrifice was a
memorial to God for His deeds towards Abraham. The
sacrifice denotes Abraham recognizing God as God. His
relationship was based on trust and obedience to God.
The patriarch knew God and honored Him with worship
through sacrifices. It is essential for us to realize that
throughout Abraham’s life, the wonderful loving fellowship
he shared with God was never without his sacrifices to God.
What assurance did Abraham have from God that God
would honor His promise?

With each Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary purchase, we will give, as
a special bonus, our book, Paul, The Apostle. It is 555 pages and with a
hardcover. It was to Paul that the Lord gave the meaning of the New
Covenant, the meaning of which is the Cross of Christ. This man is
one of the most important individuals who ever lived. All that you
can learn about him, and we believe this book will be a treasure-trove
of information, will be well worth your while.
Incidentally, the Gift Catalog price for Paul, The Apostle is $30, but with
each purchase of a Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary, you are getting
it free of charge. If you get more than one Commentary, you will get
the commensurate number of books.

Why WEBC&S?
[ CONTINUED FROM PAGE 31]
““When I decided to come here last year, I had no idea what
I was in for. Over these last three semesters, I have grown
immensely in my relationship with the Lord and in my desire
for God’s Word and ministry. I am convinced that you would
have a very hard time finding another Bible college that
teaches the true Message of the Cross, and allows the Spirit of
God to have His way in the classrooms as WEBC does. If you
decide to become a student here, I guarantee you will never be
the same, in Jesus’ name.”
— Matthew Pourciau louisiana
““I came to World Evangelism Bible College because I was
hungry for the Word of God and desired a deeper revelation
of His Word. After spending two semesters here, it has stirred
in my heart an even greater love for the Gospel message and
shown me the importance of being rooted and grounded in
God’s Word. The teaching here is incredible; the professors
give the proper foundation that we need to live for Christ. One
of the things that the professors have encouraged me to do is
to run after Jesus with all my heart; that is my heart’s desire.”
— Kristin Shirk west virginia
““I’ve attended a public university in the past and after a year
there, I was in debt from classes that didn’t teach me anything that could be applied to my life or bettered my life. After
being at WEBC for almost a semester, I have learned so much
about the Word of God and I have been able to apply what I
have learned in classes to my own life. There is nothing more
important than your relationship with God, so why not develop
your personal walk with Christ at a Bible college that teaches,
preaches, and lives the true Gospel? You will not regret it.”
— Kelli Britsch ohio
““We all have expectation as to what we think will happen when
we come here. However, trusting in the Lord and learning the
true Gospel of the Kingdom — Jesus Christ and Him crucified
— is invaluable. A price cannot be placed on the value of this
teaching and the impact it can have on an individual’s life if
they but yield to the work of the Holy Spirit in their life. Jesus
Christ and Him crucified is taught and ministered by the most
anointed and most knowledgeable instructors on this subject in
the world. Attend WEBC and be a work in progress – like me!”
— Richard Padilla texas
““Traveling home from the 2012 Thanksgiving Campmeeting,
my wife and I felt a stirring in our spirits regarding these last
days and the fields being ready for harvest. Entering into
prayer, we asked the Lord what He would have us to do. His
response to us was immediate. He told us to come to WEBC,
learn, then tell. As my wife and I are older, this wasn’t a simple
task, but the Lord made a way. Each and every morning, without fail, I thank the Lord for bringing us to WEBC. I feel con-

fident in saying there is no other place on earth like WEBC
to learn the true meaning of the Message of the Cross. I so
admire the professors for being led by and yielding to the Holy
Spirit in the classrooms and chapel. If you want to learn about
Jesus Christ and Him crucified and Bible truths, there is no
other school for you than WEBC.”
— Terry & Marla Hallmark illinois
““I discovered WEBC in 2012 at the close of the International
Youth Conference (IYC). I took them up on their Sunday afternoon tour of the college just after rededicating my life to the
Lord during IYC. While touring the college, God dropped a
word in my spirit to go there. Only three weeks and a half a
dozen miracles later, I was back at WEBC studying the Word
of God. God brought me all the way from Tennessee to follow
His call to preach at the most God-anointed Bible college in
the country! My life has never been the same since!”
— Jacob McCord tennessee
““I started as a preacher’s kid and you know the sayings about
them being the worst, well, that was me. I ran away from God in
every way possible. When I finally came back to God, I started to
preach because God had called me to preach. When I was on my
way back from a missionary trip from Africa, God told me that
I needed to go to college to learn and be led by the Spirit more.
So I was praying and seeking God and he showed me WEBC,
and I knew that God wanted me to go to this college because of
its stand on the Word and movement of the Spirit. This college
means everything to me as I daily build my walk with the Lord.”
— Andrew Snyder west virginia
““WEBC teaches doctrine that is pure. It gives you the foundation of the finished work of Christ that keeps you from false
doctrine. One thing I really loved was learning about what
Jesus did for us at the Cross in the Life of Christ class. It
showed me how much Jesus suffered for me and how much
He loves me. I think that everybody needs to hear the teaching
from this Bible college.”
— Danielle Shirk west virginia
““I’ve been saved since I was 8 years old, but it wasn’t until I
was 19 that I came to understand what being a Christian actually meant. The Message of the Cross is what every Christian
must hear and understand if they want to live the life of a true
believer. WEBC&S does not hesitate to teach this message. The
professors here live out what they teach and preach to their
students and are excellent examples of what real men of God
should be. Every day that I’m at this school, I learn more about
the Word of God, but, more importantly, I grow closer in my personal relationship with the Lord. My prayer is that more young
people like me are led to this simple message because it works.”
