Shopping
The UF Bookstore offers more than just textbooks. You can find
Gator apparel, some health and beauty items, and tech products (such as
graphing calculators and iPads). You can also find leisure books and
souvenirs.
Entertainment
There is a Game Room in the Reitz which has bowling lanes,
billiard tables, table tennis tables, and more. The Game Room also holds
special events and has lower prices on Mondays. On Wednesdays, bowling
is $2.00 per game per person, rental shoes are $2.00, and billiards is $2.00
per hour per table between 6pm-11pm.
GatorNights is held every Friday night at the Reitz Union. At
GatorNights, you can watch a movie, listen to music, play capture the flag,
and do crafts. The activities, movies, and hours rotate so keep an eye on
the schedule at www.union.ufl.edu/ProgransArtsLeisure/GatorNights/
Calendar.
The Arts & Crafts Center is in the lower level of Reitz Union. You
can paint your own pottery, throw clay in the ceramics studio, or attend a
social with your friends. You can also take classes to learn more about
ceramics, drawing, and jewelry making or get a membership to work in the
studio on your art with equipment provided.
Hotel
The Reitz Union is home to the Union Hotel. It is conveniently
located in the heart of campus, making it easy for family and friends to stay
in town and visit. The rooms cost between $99 and $129 per night. There
are special rates and conditions for home football game weekends and UF
Graduation.
