Gather ye Rosebuds:

Fabric:
Large scraps (say, 8" x 10" or so) of: Three to five shades of
several colors for the flowers and leaves, and two fabrics for the
vase. Six strand embroidery floss or pearle cotton to coordinate
with the fabric.
For the pieced background:
We will be designing and creating our own pieced background
in class.
Our little quilts will finish around 20 inches square.
My background is cut from one yard of a sexy hand
dyed blue gradation. For the background for your
bouquet consider bringing fat quarters or yardage in
several closely related colors.
Notions:
Small, sharp fabric scissors (5 inch, not embroidery) Polyester
Invisible Thread, clear and smoke
(Superior MonoPoly or Sulky brands strongly
recommended)
50wt 100% cotton thread, soft off white and medium gray
70/10 Sharp (Microtex) sewing machine needles
pencil with eraser, Rotary cutter, ruler and mat.
Needles appropriate for hand embroidery.
Flat flower head pins.
Small Light box (strongly recommended, not required)
Note: Sewing Machines will be provided.
Required Lab fee: $6.00 Includes templates preprinted on Wash Away
Applique Sheets, glue sticks and a "magic wand".
