HALLOWEEN SCARE SITES!
Volunteers are needed to help at the
Halloween Haunted Hayride at Jacob Myers
Park in Riverbank. Sites will be first come
first serve. Volunteers must build their own
scene, provide their own props, generator,
costuming and staff their site. There will be
a limit of 4 people per scare site. You MUST
be able to volunteer BOTH nights. The dates
of the Hayride will be October 28 and 29,
2016 from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm
approximately. You may start decorating on
Tuesday, October 25 between 9:00 am and
5:30 pm. Thursday night there will be a
dress rehearsal and drive thru.

The Holiday parade will begin at 5:30 pm at
the corner 6th and Santa Fe. Join us as we
applaud brightly lit cars, motorcycles,
floats, horses, marching bands, walking
groups and more! All participants are
encouraged to “light” up the parade route!
A judging booth will be along the route to
judge you as you go by! Awards will be
given out at the tree lighting ceremony at
approximately 7:30 pm. Santa will arrive
and light the tree. He will also be available
for pictures.

Development Update
SILVA PARK PHASE II
The second phase of Silva Park is now
complete and open. The picnic shelter is first
come first served. Restrooms are available
and table tennis tables are ready to go, just
bring your paddles and ping pong balls!
Phase III will be a small water park. This

JACOB MYERS PARK
The Friends of Jacob Myers Park and the
City of Riverbank have expanded parking in
the back section of the park. Parking
improvements will continue 2016-17. The
City will also be working with a Landscape
Architect to develop the outdoor
amphitheater and mountain bike trail. If you
are interested in working with the Friends of
Jacob Myers Park and the City on these
projects, please contact the Recreation

FRIENDS OF JACOB MYERS COMMITTEE
The Friends of Jacob Myers Park is a nonprofit 501-C3 organization that has worked
with the City of Riverbank to develop and
improve Jacob Myers Park for the past 15
years. We need new members to assist us
in completing the Master Plan and acting as
an advisory council in the operation of the
park. The group meets on the 4th Thursday
of each month at City Hall Council
Chambers, 5:30 pm. Call 863-7150 for

JACOB MYERS PARK
This park is located off Santa Fe Road, over
the First Street Bridge to the left, along the
Stanislaus River.
Amenities: Large pavillion, playground, finger
park (bring your own little plastic cars),
wedding gazebo (available for rent),
picnic area, open space, restrooms,
bicycle and pedestrian trail and a group
camp area (available for rent by Scouts,
church groups etc.). NO JUMP HOUSES ARE
PERMITTED AT THIS PARK.
JACOB MYERS WEDDING GAZEBO
The gazebo is located on the trail just
southwest of the entrance. Please contact
the Recreation office at 863-7150 for fees
and availability, and more information.
CASTLEBERG PARK

RIVERBANK COMMUNITY CENTER
Located at 3600 Santa Fe Street, the
Community Center is available for rent for
wedding receptions, birthday parties,
anniversaries and more! Building capacity
is 300. A kitchen is available.
This park is located at 8th and Kentucky and
offers a playground, large gazebo area, 2
baseball/softball diamonds, basketball
courts, restrooms and pedestrian walkway
around the park. Jump houses are allowed
WITH a permit.
SCOUT HALL
RIVERBANK SPORTS COMPLEX
The Riverbank Community pool is located
at the corner of 7th and Stanislaus Street.
During the summer the pool is available to
rent for Birthday parties, company parties,
church parties and more! Fees includes
lifeguards. Pool is open for rent when not
open to the public!
The Riverbank Sports Complex is located at
2119 Morrill Road. The Complex has a
soccer field and a Soccer/football field that
can be reserved on a first come first serve
basis. A concession stand is also
available (A Serve Safe certificate must be
obtained by the renters). These fields also
have lights that may be rented. For more
information call 863-7150.
Located at 3017 High Street, the Scout
Hall is perfect for small events. A small
kitchen is available.
RIVERBANK COMMUNITY POOL
RIVERBANK TEEN CENTER
The Teen Center is located at 3600 A
Santa Fe Street and can be rented for
youth groups, meetings or special
functions during non-operated hours.

As part of the strategic plan, the City of
Riverbank will be working with a Landscape
Architect to update our plans for Phase II and
Phase III of the Sports Complex on Morrill
Road. Phase II will be developed on our
current property adjacent to the existing
sports complex and will include possible
indoor soccer field and BMX Park. We need
to expand parking and access as well.
