In an interview published in a British newspaper on Tuesday, he was asked to comment on how dealing with corruption in Afghanistan compared to tackling the mafia: “It’s different and it’s harder,” Sopko replied. Organized in Takhti stadium in the capital city of Tehran, the Afghan footballers ended the game in their favor after they were thrashed by Japan. The Afghan team managed to score their first goal during the 39th minute of the first half of the game which was hit by Khyber Amani. The second goal was hit by Yousuf Sherdil during the 78th minute of the game and concluded the qualifier match in Afghanistan’s favor despite the Singapore players secured a goal during the last minutes of the game.
