Amy Carter 33 28 2015 15073577 BUTLER TWP PD MONTGOMERY MARTINDALE 10 28 On Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 2157 hours, I was dispatched to Martindale Road, east of the Stillwater River, Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio for a hit and run crash. Unit 1 was traveling east on Martindale Road in the east bound lane and when approximately .18 miles west of 613 Martindale Road, lost control of the vehicle, going off the left side of the road, striking a tree and a metal post. The driver of unit 1 fled the crash scene on foot into the woods. A witness who spoke with the first arriving Union PD officer advised that the driver was a white male and had tossed something into the woods when he took off. The witness did not stay on scene, and a witness statement was not obtained. A Hennessy box containing a half empty bottle of Hennessy was recovered at the scene and collected as evidence. Digital photographs were taken of the scene. Union and Metro River officers searched the area for the suspect driver but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed by Busy Bee Towing and a hold was placed on the vehicle. Dayton PD was sent to the registered owners address to attempt to make contact and advised that the residence at the address had been condemned. The collected evidence was booked into the property room upon my arrival at the police department. Respectfully, Officer A. Carter #33 Ofc. Amy Carter 33 2015
