On Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 0858 hours, I was dispatched to 7700 Dog Leg Road in Butler Township,
Montgomery County, Ohio, on a sign stop that was laying on the ground that was struck by a vehicle.
Upon my arrival, I located a stop sign laying in the grass on the north east side of the intersection.
The sign was struck by an unknown vehicle at an unknown time and date. On the north side of this
intersection on Dog Leg Road, there are 2 stop signs, 1 on the east and west side of the roadway.
There is a house on the north west side of this intersection that has a large tree that partially
blocks the view of the stop sign on the west side of the roadway. This stop sign was still standing
and warns drivers to stop. It was unclear if the vehicle drove north and through the intersection or
was turning north from east bound Little York Road. There were no tire marks on the roadway or grass
area. There were no witnesses to the accident.
At the time of this report, there was no vehicle or driver description. Montgomery County Engineers
were contacted by dispatch to have the stop sign repaired.
