Where can I register for the Meeker NCA Finals Dog Sponsor Program? Registration forms are
available on our website www.meekercattledog.com, or can be obtained by calling Mary Cunningham, 970878-0111 or Bernie Gantt at 970-220-2034. Dog Sponsorships are limited to 140 dogs and will be sold on a
first come, first serve basis.
Is my sponsorship tax deductible?
The Meeker Classic is designated a 501(c)5 – Not for Profit,
Agricultural Trade Organization. Your contribution of $125 is deductible, but ONLY as an ordinary business
(advertising) expense as provided by law in the Internal Revenue Service Code. As a 2016 Dog Sponsor you will
receive a Donation Voucher for your 2016 tax filing.
When am I assigned a dog? The running order will drawn mid May 2016 for 140 dogs running in the
preliminary runs. Once the running order is established, sponsors will be randomly assigned a dog. Your name
will appear in the running order posted on our website shortly afterwards. It will also appear in the printed
running order in our 2016 Meeker Classic NCA Finals Souvenir Trial Program.
What happens if my dog scratches? If your dog scratches before the trial we will fill it’s spot in the
running order by utilizing a “standby list” of dogs waiting to get into the National Finals. An amended running
order will be announced each day at the trial and will be reflected on daily handouts of the running order. If
by chance we have a last minute scratch due to injury or some unforeseen circumstance, your name will be
announced, you’ll receive the sponsorship packet, but obviously we wouldn’t be able to provide a photograph.
How will I know “when” my sponsored dog will run? Each dog will have 2 qualifying runs to get into
the final round - so you have the opportunity to watch your dog run twice.

How can I track my dog’s performance if I’m unable to attend the trial? Results are posted on our
website every few hours. Follow trial results at www.meekercattledog.com and they’ll also be posted on our
facebook page.
How will the Photos work? As part of your Dog Sponsorship Benefit Package you will receive a 5”x7”
photo of your sponsored dog, it’s handler & you (if available) in a custom mat.
Sponsors need to be “available” for a photo immediately following their sponsored dog’s
preliminary run. Meet at the Cattledog Photo site in the vending area.

If the sponsor is NOT available, a photo of the handler & dog will be taken/ Please note that no
provisions will be made for “missed photo ops”. It’s too difficult for the handler/dog and logistically
for the photographer.

Photos will be mailed after the trial, and sponsors will be able to order more/larger photos from the
photographer – at their own expense.
8. When will I receive my Sponsorship Packet? Due to rising postage costs ALL Dog Sponsor Packets will
be available at the Main Ticket Gate during our 2016 Event. You can have your packet mailed by paying
an additional fee at registration. Additionally, you can order a Collectable 2016 Dog Sponsor Hat for an
additional fee on the registration form.
