Melmark’s adult programs promote a greater level of independence and confidence and include: Melmark’s Adult Services offers a full range of attractive, community based and on-campus homes. Our comprehensive resources meet the unique residential and clinical needs of those entrusted to our care, including: Melmark’s adult workshops provide services for adults with moderate-to-profound developmental and physical disabilities, based on an individual’s needs. For adults with lower cognitive levels or those who are nonambulatory, activities include multi-sensory stimulation, massage therapy and hand-over-hand training. • Residential Programs • Adult Day Workshops • Vocational Program • The Meadows Program • Healthcare and rehabilitative services • Adults who can live relatively independent in the community with staff assistance • • Individuals who need significant to moderate support for daily living needs • Medically fragile adults requiring 24-hour nursing care Workshops match each person’s abilities and desires, emphasizing wellness, daily living and communication skills. Pre-vocational activities are also included. All workshops provide varied enrichment activities to encourage social interactions and skills.
