Before calculating your GPA: • • • • UHCL waits until we have your official transcripts from all institutions attended. We check for the completion of at least 54 credit hours. Developmental and non-college-level courses are excluded. Courses you are taking now must have a final grade posted. How your undergraduate transfer GPA is calculated: • • • We include all grades on all academic course work, including grades from repeated courses. Developmental course are not calculated in the transfer GPA Courses that are not completed cannot be calculated We assign each letter grade a numeric value: A+, A, and A- =4.0 B+, B, and B- =3.0 C+, C, and C- =2.0 D+, C, and D- =1.0 Less than a D- = 0 Example: Course ENGL 1301 ENGL 1301 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Semester Fall Spring 2008 2009 Grade D A Hours 3.0 3.0 Each numeric grade is multiplied by the number or credit hours per course Take 3 hours and multiply by 1.0 (3) Take 3 hours and multiply by 4.0 (12) Add 3 +12 (15) Divide 15 by the total number of hours (15/6 hours= 2.5) 2.5 is the UHCL transfer GPA GPA 1.0 4.0 Undergraduate Application Deadlines and Registration Dates Spring 2015 October 6 Spring Class Schedule Available Online November 3-13 Early Registration November 14-January 16 Open Registration January 13 Spring Priority Application Deadline January 17-27 Late Registration January 20 Spring Final Application and Documents Deadline January 20 Spring Classes Begin Priority application deadline: Applicants whose application and documents are received by the priority deadline will be processed for open registration and will not incur a late registration fee.
