What is Hawk Connection?
Eligibility Requirements
Hawk Connection is University of Houston-Clear Lake’s transfer program
specifically for students who begin at a community college and are
considering to transfer to UHCL to complete a degree.
Students interested in joining Hawk
Connection should enroll at a community
college first and meet the following program
criteria:
• Have earned less than 36 semester
hours on all college course work
The goal of Hawk Connection is to make the transfer process for future hawks
a positive experience by providing services such as academic and career
advising. Students meet with a designated Hawk Connection adviser each
semester to check on their academic progress, ensuring they remain on the
right academic path.
• Attend a mandatory advising meeting
• Sign a Hawk Connection Agreement

In addition to academic and career advising, Hawk Connection allows
students to become familiar with university life and enjoy the many benefits
and services the program offers.
Joining Hawk Connection is easy, just follow these simple three steps.
1. Enroll at a community college.
With the guidance of an adviser, students participating in Hawk Connection
become familiar with university policies and procedures as well as specific
requirements for their major.
Hawk Connection offers future hawks:
• A degree plan under the current UHCL catalog
2. Obtain copies of transcripts from the colleges and universities previously attended. Official copies preferred.
3. Schedule an advising meeting by contacting Hawk Connection
at 281-283-3068 or scheduling an advising meeting online at
www.uhcl.edu/hawkconnection.
