General Information
We offer a number of beautiful, private options for both your ceremony and the
celebration afterwards.
Our 1,000 square meter teak deck is shaded by tall palms overlooking the sea and is
a picture perfect spot for the nuptials, as is right on the beachfront if you prefer to
have a truly tropical experience.
Following the ceremony and cocktails you can choose to dine privately inside our airconditioned restaurant, on the open deck under the stars (December to April), or in a
number of other special locations around the resort.
In addition to the spaces within the resort, we also have a number of magnificent
Private Residences which are available as totally private venues for the ceremony
and reception. Each Residence is a private home and as such provides an extra
feeling of privacy and luxury for your special day. Most of these Residences are right
on the seafront.
We provide a full support and planning service either on site or with your own
wedding planner, and an in-house team of talented florists and chefs create
bespoke menus and beautiful floral arrangements.

As a foreigner, it is possible to be married legally in Thailand, however a large amount
of planning and accredited documentation through your embassy is required to
register the marriage here. We can also easily arrange a simple Thai Buddhist monk
blessing ceremony on site with no documentation.

Important notes:

In order to ensure the privacy of your event, Trisara will only ever have one
wedding on any given day.

Phuket Island lies at 8 degrees north of the equator and is a true tropical
paradise. Due to this we always arrange have a wet weather contingency.

All prices are in Thai Baht and exclude 17.7% government tax and service
charge.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Rates mentioned in this
document are only valid from January 2015 – December 2016 only unless
indicated otherwise.

Weddings at Trisara are not legally binding; legally binding ceremonies can
be arranged with the prior coordination of the local embassy or consulate.
This is a detailed process and we recommend you arrange this a few months
in advance. Most couples hold their civil ceremony in their home country
prior to or following their wedding celebration at Trisara.

We require minimum 3 night stay (May until October) or 5 night stay
(November until April) in at least one of our pool villas or residences at the
resort for couples who wish to host their wedding at Trisara.

Noise policy: Along with the intimate luxury style of your wedding here, we
need to be considerate of other guests in relation to music. Live bands and DJ
are only allowed when the reception is within our restaurant and all (loud)
music must cease at 12.00 am.

We require minimum guarantee number of guests of ceremony venue,
reception venue usage.

All arrangement concerned with weddings must be arranged by Trisara only.

Enhance your ceremony with a touch of Thai. Why not include a traditional Thai
water pouring ceremony as part of your special day? The Thai water pouring
ceremony is considered the most important part of the Thai wedding ceremony as it
signifies the couple officially becoming husband and wife. Traditionally, this was all
that was required to validate a marriage in past years.

Flower Decoration
All floral design and preparation is done in-house and Trisara is renowned as having
the most creative floral team on Phuket. We can offer a large range of flowers and
styles of arrangements from traditional designs to strikingly modern creations. To assist
with choosing your design a large gallery of photography is available for your perusal.
With Trisara floral design, dependant on the season, you can choose from tropical
heliconias, anthurium, ginger, lotus, orchids, frangipanis, gardenias, jasmine, tuberose,
roses, gerberas, lisianthus, hydrangea or carnations. Flower packages start from
THB70,000++ (local grade A flowers) and from THB90,000++ (imported mixed with local
flowers half portion each). Pricing depends on the type of flowers and quantity.

Following the ceremony and cocktails you can choose to dine inside the restaurant,
on the teak deck under the stars during the dry weather or in one of the Private
Residences that are set above the oceanfront. (Please note there are certain sound restrictions
for the outdoor venues as we may have resort guests nearby).
Our in-house team of talented chefs will create your perfect menu from stand up
cocktails and canapés, followed by a beach barbeque or a seated 3 or 4-course
degustation menu.

A wide range of entertainment options are available.
We can provide DJs, solo musicians playing piano, guitar, violin or saxophone, singers,
classical or modern musical duos, jazz or party bands. The choice is yours.
Along with the intimate luxury style of your wedding, we need to be considerate of
other guests in relation to music. Live bands and DJs are only allowed when the
reception is within our restaurant and all loud music must cease at 11.45 pm.
The prices are indicative only and will be confirmed from the outsourced contractors

Fireworks and Floating lanterns
Floating lanterns are tall white rice paper lanterns that are lit and filled with air before
“floating” off into the night sky. These beautiful lanterns symbolize peace and good
energy to Thai people and can add a very special element to your evening.
Similarly, fireworks launched from our beach can add a lot of fun and can be a
perfect way to close your reception. Due to the intimate nature of our hotel, all
fireworks need to be completed between 9.30 - 10.30 pm.

Wedding Policies and Guidelines
Food & Beverage

All food & beverage must be provided by Trisara. No food & beverage will be
permitted to be brought into the venue. Exceptions will be made for
beverages by applying corkage fee.

Preliminary menus are requested 30 days prior to your events. All menus are
required no later than 3 weeks prior to your event.

Alcoholic beverages will be served only to persons 21 years of age or older.
Vendors

All vendors such as flowers must be arranged and approved by Trisara only.
Guarantee

An estimated number of guests are required 20 business days prior to event.

The guaranteed number or actual whichever is higher will be the amount for
which you are charged even if fewer attend. Should no final count be given,
the previous number expected will be used.

Any additional served guests will be added to the final bill and payment
collected following the event.

Following all events a banquet check or summary will be presented for
signing.


Deposits

A deposit of THB 300,000- needs to be paid upon confirmation of the event
and in order to officially hold the date.

Final payment is required twenty business days prior to your event with the
guarantee number of attendees.

Final payments are accepted in cash, credit card or bank transfer.

The remaining amount occurred during an event needs to be settled and
finalized upon departure

The room rates quoted in USD$ and are converted to Thai Baht on the date of
arrival.
Cancellation

For any cancellation less than a month prior to the event and regardless of
circumstances the event will be charged at full rate.

For any cancellation between 30-60 days, the hotel reserves the right to
withhold the deposits paid.

All cancellations must be received in writing.

All arrangement must be supplied by Trisara only.

Swaying palms, soft white sand, sparkling waters (and champagne): if you’re a bride to be, chances are
you’ve fantasised about having the best destination wedding ever. Smith reviewer and roving BBC travel
reporter Carmen Roberts spills the beans on her dream beach wedding in Thailand at romantic Phuket
resort Trisara…
What wowed you most about Trisara as a wedding hotel?
Privacy and intimacy were key elements for us on our wedding day, and Trisara definitely ticked both
boxes. There was no question of other swimwear-clad guests gawking at us, or having to traipse through a
crowded resort to get to our wedding reception. The setting and ambience at Trisara is classy and elegant.
How did you avoid all the admin headaches? Did you have a wedding
planner?
Right from the get-go, we were confident that the team at Trisara would
be able to create the perfect wedding; on our venue-scouting weekend
in Phuket, their team came prepared with a laptop full of wedding
photographs. There was never any talk of hiring a dedicated wedding
planner, and no official wedding package per se (unlike most of the
larger hotel chains), but Trisara offered a bespoke wedding service, so
we were given a range of options every step of the way. Of course, we
had some ideas about what we wanted, but Girl, Boyd and Marie were
able to offer advice and suggestions, including tips for bands, DJs,
flowers and photographers. Trisara also gave us a breakdown of the
day’s events, and a detailed costings spreadsheet, so we were able to
keep track of expenses.
Let’s cut to the question all brides-to-be will ask
first: what was your wedding dress like?
My dress was a gorgeous satin Paloma Blanca
gown from London bridal boutique Mirror Mirror,
which I teamed with a bouquet of pink and
white lotus flowers. I immediately fell in love with
the fishtail design, but given that it tapered in at
the knees, combined with bundles of tulle
underneath the dress, it was extremely difficult
to go to the bathroom unaided! I’m now
fantasising about cutting it short and dyeing it.
How was the ceremony? Any – ahem – hitches?
We hoped to get married out on the deck, but our hearts sank as dark clouds rolled in just hours before our
outdoor ceremony was due to begin. I was close to tears as I watched the team at Trisara work like ants to
dismantle the wedding arch, white-covered seats and beautiful flower arrangements getting lashed by the
storm. We considered moving the ceremony indoors, but held out another half an hour for the rain to pass
and within minutes the scene was set again on the seaside deck with a flamingo-pink and orange sunset
peeking out from behind the clouds.

On to the most important bit – the reception!
Tell us everything…
We had candle-lit tables festooned with
orchids spilling out from oversized martini
glasses, plenty of wine and a simply superb
main course of lobster and tender beef that
you barely needed to chew. Guests gushed
that it was the best meal they’d ever tasted,
let alone at a wedding. After much laughter,
as well as the odd tear during the speeches,
the dance floor was soon alive with uncles and
aunties grooving with tipsy friends from around
the world. At the stroke of midnight, we all
wished for a happy life as we lit paper lanterns
on the beach and watched them sail high into
the starry sky.
So where did you honeymoon?
Amanwella in Tangalle, a boutique hotel on a
beautiful beach on Sri Lanka’s south coast. It’s
serendipity, because we had our first minibreak
together when I reviewed Tenface hotel in
Bangkok for Smith, we married at Trisara and
now we’ve honeymooned at another Smith
escape. What’s more, my husband’s surname
is Monksmith: I’m beginning to think we should
change our name to Mr and Mrs Smith!

Trisara Information
Trisara, in Sanskrit meaning the "Third Garden in Heaven" is South East Asia's most
intimate and exclusive resort & spa. Nestling over our own private bay just 15 minutes
from Phuket International Airport, the resort is hidden amongst lush tropical jungle,

The resorts 39 pool villas and suites sit above the bay, adjacent to the beachfront
