This year we are thrilled to host our secondary schools’ Inspire programme for the
fourth year running in partnership with AUT Business School and the Sir Peter Blake
Trust.

Our team at Fuji Xerox are incredibly passionate about New Zealand’s youth and
take pride in the opportunities we provide for our country’s young people. We believe
that we have a part to play in the development of our country’s young leaders. We
are honoured to provide them platforms in which they can kickstart their careers and
meet some of New Zealand’s greatest leaders.
Inspire 2016 is a full day event held in celebration of Leadership Week, featuring a
sensational line-up of speakers and bringing together 350 secondary school students
from all over Auckland. This event is designed to recognise and inspire the potential
leaders of tomorrow by providing them with a unique opportunity to meet and learn
from great New Zealand leaders of today’s world.
Inspire 2016 features a fantastic line-up of speakers who will be sharing their
inspirational stories and leadership lessons to inspire 350 talented secondary school
students from Auckland schools.

MC - Sarah Trotman has experienced the rewards of success as well as being faced
with challenges whilst running her own companies in the complex business world.
Through her involvement in various charities, Sarah is committed to the social fabric
of New Zealand and was identified by the Sir Peter Blake Trust as a Blake Leader in
2006. Sarah mentors a number of business owners and individuals, is an ex Territorial
Soldier and holds the Director role on a number of Boards. Sarah is currently Director
of Business Relations at AUT Business School, responsible for student and academic
engagement with industry.

Dr Michelle Dickinson and her superhero alter-ego Nanogirl use leadership to
inspire others to move towards positive goals for the planet and the people on
it. The Blake Leader believes she fell into leadership as others have sought her
guidance and been inspired by what she does – as a leading nanotechnologist,
engineering lecturer, charity founder, communicator and mentor. Michelle is driven
to make a difference to the world – not only through huge leaps forward in “tiny”
science, but also using her passion and know-how to make science and technology
less intimidating and more fun for children. Through Nanogirl, she also campaigns
to break the stereotype of what an engineer looks like and encourages girls to
see science and engineering is inclusive of them too. But she is not just about
empowering girls. She is co-founder of OMGTech!, a charity providing science and
technology education for boys and girls in low decile schools. She also empowers
their teachers, by creating teams of experts who donate their time to help build the
confidence of teachers in tech skills they may not have been exposed to such as
coding, robotics and 3D printing.

Rachel Taulelei is the CEO of Kono NZ one of New Zealand’s top food and beverage
companies, whose activities range from wine, cider, horticulture and seafood, to
fruit bar manufacturing. Rachel founded the sustainable seafood company Yellow
Brick Road and as such she is passionate about New Zealand’s primary sector
and developing values based business models. Rachel is a former NZTE US Trade
Commissioner, in 2015 she received a New Zealand Order of Merit for services to
food and hospitality, and in 2012 was the recipient of a Blake Leader Award from
the Sir Peter Blake Trust, on whose board she now sits, Otjer directorships include
Yeastie Boys, Wellington Regional Stadium Culinary Events Trust, Aotearoa Fisheries
Ltd, Headwaters New Zealand, the Young Enterprise Trust and Westpac’s External
Sustainable Business Panel.
William Pike is an inspirational kiwi with an incredible story who believes in thinking
and acting with “All Passion and No limits”. He is an avid outdoorsman with an
immensely powerful story of being critically injured in a volcanic eruption. He has
an infectious enthusiasm for adventure, life and fun. Today, William is the face of
the William Pike Challenge Award, which has grown from strength to strength over
the past 3 years. With 60 schools in NZ and close to 1500 students, the William Pike
Challenge Award is making a positive impact in communities across the country. As
an accomplished motivational speaker, an author, an amputee, 2015 Young New
Zealander of the year finalist and an international role model. William is a leader and
an achiever who resonates passion and success without limits.

Keven Mealamu is a two time Rugby World Cup winner and New Zealand’s mostcapped All Black with 133 test caps,. Keven has been wearing the black jersey
since 1995, when he turned out for New Zealand Under 16 and earn his first All
Black cap in 2002 against Wales in Cardiff. Despite the long career his passion for
rugby and the respect with which he is regarded by teammates and opponents
remains undimmed. Keven took on a new leadership role in 2006, captaining the
Blues through a challenging Rebel Sport Super 14 campaign. After relinquishing
the captaincy for the Blues in 2007/08, due to All Black commitments, Mealamu
resumed the captaincy role for the Blues in 2009/10 and also achieved the notable
milestone of 100 Super rugby caps. The 2011 Investec Super Rugby season saw
Mealamu feature in every Blues match and cement his position as one of the
world’s leading hookers. Keven is New Zealand’s most capped Super Rugby player
of all time with 164 caps, playing his final game for the Blues in 2015. Keven’s All
Blacks career spanned 16 years and was revered for this both his leadership and
humility - on and off the field. Mealamu captained the All Blacks twice; In 2008
against Scotland on their Grand Slam tour, becoming the first hooker since Sean
Fitzpatrick to lead All Blacks in a test match and then again against Japan in the All
Blacks successful 2011 Rugby World Cup campaign. Keven has now retired from all
forms of the game but continues to be involved with rugby his role as New Zealand
Rugby Ambassador.
