Rules: The regatta will be governed by the rules defined in the
current RRS as modified by Appendix E. Boats shall conform to the
USA Micro Magic Class Rules, the regatta Sailing Instructions (SI's),
any amendments to the SI's, and any other attached documents.
Eligibility: Any owner/skipper of a Micro-Magic Class boat, who is
properly registered in the Micro Magic Class and a current member of the
AMYA, or his/her appropriate national authority, may participate in this
regatta. Entry limited to the first 20 applicants.
Entry: Any eligible owner/skipper, as defined above, may enter the
regatta by completing and returning the Regatta Entry Form, together
with an appropriate check in US$ to the address indicated. The Entry
Form MUST indicate at least three (3) available frequencies for each
boat entered, unless you are using the 2.4 GHz system.
Measurement: Measurement Boats shall conform to the one design
rules of the Micro Magic Class. A competitor will declare a max of 3
rigs for the regatta. Boats my be measured / weighed at the discretion
of the RD . Competitors are advised to check the min weight with
their smallest rig ( Lightest ) is at least 860g and sign the Statement of
Good Faith below.
Race Format: Racing will be conducted under a single heath system
as the race committee shall race the Micro Magic class as a single
fleet. Courses will be set based on the prevailing conditions, and
announced prior to the start of each race. The regatta will be scored in
accordance with the Low Point Scoring system as set forth in
Appendix A of the RRS. The worst finish for each boat shall be
excluded if a minimum of six heats are sailed; an additional second
worst score will be excluded if twelve heats are sailed, and a third
worst score will be excluded if eighteen heats are sailed.
Prizes: Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers
Schedule of Events: Early check-in, possible measurement and
practice racing will be available at the Race Site on Friday afternoon.
Saturday 8:45am Skippers Meeting
Racing starts at 9:15am with last race starting before 4:00pm
Lunch will be provided during the fleet breaks
Dinner : 6:30 PM
Restaurant to be announced.
Sunday Racing starts at 09:00am with last race not to start after 1:00
pm followed by lunch and Trophy Presentation.
Sailing Instructions: SI's, information will be e-mailed to all regatta
participants at the conclusion of the entry time period.
Disclaimer of Liability: Competitors participate in the regatta
entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The
organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage
or personal injury sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or
after the regatta.
