The Windmill Players Present The Windmill Players are an amateur dramatics society based in the village of North Leigh, Near Witney, Oxfordshire, England. The Group take their name from the historic windmill which stands as a centre piece of the village. The Windmill Players were established in 2002 by a group of people who thought that a society like this could bring all age groups of the community together...and they were right!! The members' age groups range from 6 to 80+ years! The first production by the Windmill Players was performed as part of the Memorial Hall's "Victorian Weekend" in November 2002. It’s been on the to do list ever since but has never quite fitted with the actors we had available. This year though, having seen our most recent group of teenagers move onto University, we had the opportunity to recruit and bring on a new set of stars. And this, in turn, has enabled us to put on this unusual take on the Scarlet Pimpernel story, which contains all the usual panto ingredients including a lot of audience participation – Oh yes it does. As ever a huge amount of work has gone into putting this production on – not just from those on stage but from many behind the scenes and my thanks goes to all involved. Their ages go from 8 to 80 and they are an amazingly talented bunch. Caitlin Garrison - Citizen Michelin Ollie Moss - Citizen Chevrolet India Edmunds - Charlie Ffoulkes Hayley Maycock - Bertie Fopp Pippa Noble - Freddy Fortescue We just hope though you will join in and enjoy…. Steve Massie, Director We have a much younger cast overall this year. Some new faces mixed with those that have been with us for some time, and some that have grown with us to now be provided the opportunity to shine with real stage time. Tahlia Edmunds - Fifi the Poodle Graeme Cranfield - Duc de Montmarte The Chorus I am amazed as always with the dedication shown by all those who participate and give up their time to put on a show for you.
