Position Available
The City of Carlinville is accepting applications for the position of Carlinville Water Plant Operator. The job opening is a
full time position at the Carlinville Water Plant. A Water Plant
Operator License, minimum Class C is recommended but not
required at time of application. However, attaining a Class C
license will be required within 18 months of start date. The
job will be paid hourly, with overtime. The position consists of
a three-shift rotation, including weekends and holidays. The
benefits include employee health insurance, IMRF pension,
paid vacation and paid holidays. The job is a union position.
Responsibilities of the job will include complete plant operation, chemical feeds, water testing, pump maintenance and
general plant maintenance.
Applications can be picked up at City Hall located at 550 North
Broad Street in Carlinville or at www.cityofcarlinville.com. Applications need to be returned to City Hall by 4:30pm January
30, 2015.
