September 1, 2015 - OFAA meeting September 5, 2015 - Downtown Oshkosh Gallery Walk September 12, 2015 - Downtown Oshkosh Chalk Walk October 3, 2015 - Downtown Oshkosh Gallery Walk October 6, 2015 - OFAA Chili Feast meeting President’s Post Welcome back everyone! We are starting a new season promising to be full of new ideas, wonderful programs and inspiring workshops. Again we will be meeting at the UWO Alumni Welcome and Conference Center. The space has worked well for us and is sure to work well in the future. The 58th Annual Art Fair was a hit. The weather served us well again this year. As usual there was a great selection of artists and plenty of food to please all who attended. Thanks to everyone who served on the committees, and all who helped with set up, tear down and everything in between. As you know, working together is what makes our art fair the success it has been throughout the years. And we do it very well. Thanks! The bus trip Joye Moon planned for members was splendid. We went to Plymouth and Kenosha for art exhibits along with a stop at Tenuta's Deli. The day was full of delights for the eyes as well as our palates! Thanks Joye. Art at the Market proved to be interesting again this year. Many young people had fun experimenting with markers, paints and crayons to express their artistic talent. Kathy Murphy coordinated the event and again she did a fabulous job. Thank you Kathy. Are you ready for this? It is time for "RETRUN OF THE CHILI FEAST"!!! We will be having the Chili Feast during our October meeting due to elections in November. It will be held at the Oshkosh Town Hall, 230 East County Road Y, Oshkosh. Please have in mind what you would like to contribute to the feast for sign up at the Sept meeting. Our first program of the year will prove to be very intriguing. Artist, Sandy Dixon will enlighten us with a presentation of Pysanky (egg writing). I do not know about you but my interest is piqued already! I am sure you have all been busy creating wonderful art during our summer hiatus, so please bring your new pieces to share with other members during our fun and informative art break. If you have art fair yard signs please bring them to the meeting. They will be placed in the storage unit for use next spring. Remember if any member has something they would like to present to the group, an issue, concern, or idea please let me know before the monthly meeting either by phone or email and I will add it to the agenda to be heard at the following meeting. Welcome to all returning and new committee chairpersons. And to all new and returning members! I look forward to another exciting and eventful year.
