FIFA WORLD CUP GERMANY 2006
Die Einheit aktuell zur Fußball WM 2006 hier in Deutschland zeigt Beispiele
für einen an Aufgaben orientierten Unterricht (task based learning),
welcher den Lernenden in den Mittelpunkt des Unterrichts stellt. Neben
den Kopiervorlagen gibt es eine Beschreibung zu einem möglichen
Einstieg, kurze Erläuterungen der Aufgaben, eine Vokabelhilfe, sowie
einige Infos zur WM. WICHTIG: Es werden für die UE viele Bilder und
Informationen benötigt, die aus Zeitschriften oder aus dem Internet
bezogen werden können.

Möglicher Einstieg
Die Lehrerin schreibt die Daten 09/06/06 und 09/07/06 (Zeit der WM) an
die Tafel. Die Schüler und Schülerinnen äußern sich auf Deutsch dazu. Als
folgende Einstiegsfragen bieten sich an:
How many countries are taking part in the World Football
Championship?
Which countries are taking part? (An der Weltkarte zeigen)
Which zone is a certain country?
What’s your favourite team?
Und natürlich: What do you think – who will win the world cup?
Hier wird ein class ranking durchgeführt und als erstes Arbeitsergebnis
festgehalten.

task 1 and 2
Die Schüler entscheiden sich in Partner- oder Gruppenarbeit für ein Land,
zu welchem sie Informationen herausfinden möchten. Das Poster könnte
entweder frei gestaltet werden oder aber es wird das entsprechende AB
(siehe Anhang) als Vorlage auf A3 hoch kopiert und ausgefüllt. Alternativ
oder zusätzlich kann ein Starposter eines Fußballspielers erstellt werden.
Die Poster werden vor der Klasse präsentiert.
task 3
Als Beispiel bereitet die Lehrerin eine auf A1 hoch kopierte Tabelle vor
(siehe Anhang), welche auf bunte Pappe geklebt und für z.B. die Gruppe A
(Info: Die WM-Mannschaften sind in Gruppen A-H eingeteilt!) ausgefüllt
ist. In die vier freien Kästchen werden die jeweiligen Flaggen aufgeklebt
und die entsprechenden Länder auf Englisch drunter geschrieben.
Das Ausscheidungssystem wird auf Deutsch erklärt (Info: Nur die ersten
beiden Mannschaften einer Gruppe kommen weiter etc.).
Die Schüler bereiten in Partner- oder Gruppenarbeit jeweils ein
Vorrunden-Plakat für eine von ihnen gewählte Gruppe vor. Sie sind für die
Aktualisierung im Laufe der Spiele zuständig.
task 4
Während der gesamten WM werden die Spiele von den Schülern (und der
Lehrerin) getippt. Dafür schreibt jeder Schüler vor einem Spiel den Tipp
mit Namen auf einen Zettel. Diese werden eingesammelt und am
nächsten Tag mit dem richtigen Ergebnis (in die Tabellen von task 3
eintragen!) verglichen. Für die Tendenz könnte es einen Punkt und für das
richtige Ergebnis drei Punkte geben. Die Punkte werden in die
vorhergesehene Tabelle (What´s your bet? I und II – siehe Anhang)
eingetragen.
task 5
Die Schüler interviewen sich zum Thema (siehe Anhang).

task 6
Die Interviewergebnisse werden in der Klasse vorgetragen und in einem
class survey (Erhebung – siehe Anhang) festgehalten und ausgewertet:
How many pupils like playing football? How many boys/girls like watching
football? Etc.
task 7
Die Schüler lesen den Dialog dialogue between football fans (siehe
Anhang). Später üben sie ihn mit einem Partner. Gemeinsam überlegen
sie sich nun einen ähnlichen Dialog, den sie im Anschluss entweder
vorlesen oder vorspielen.
task 8
Die Schüler lesen den Text über Simon (siehe Anhang). Dazu gibt es eine
matching Aufgabe.
task 9
Die Schüler stellen ein word-search-grid her (siehe Anhang). Je nach
Differenzierung können sie dafür vorgegebene Wörter nutzen oder aber
eine eigene Wörterliste erstellen. Das Rätsel wird an einen Mitschüler zur
Bearbeitung weiter gegeben.
task 10
Es werden Spiele wie z.B Memory, Bingo oder Domino von den Schülern
hergestellt und gespielt. Beispiele dafür gibt es im Anhang.
