Services include communication, financial assistance, counseling and guidance. Disaster Services: This program operates 24 hours a day and meets emergency needs of victims immediately after a disaster has struck or in advance of a potential disaster when people must be evacuated. This help includes food, clothing, shelter and other basic elements for comfort and survival. All disaster assistance from the Red Cross is an outright gift. Disaster preparedness education is available for community groups and schools.
