The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport with its automatic transmission was recently released in India and now we
know its price this is sure to get some much-needed attention from drivers that much prefer to use this
variant over a manual – well it is a much better option when stuck in traffic on those busy Indian roads.
Anyway, back to that price, and you will expect to pay 23.55 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is not
exactly cheap, but then what did you expect from such an SUV and a more expensive transmission
option?
One problem that you may have with this version is that it is only a two wheel drive variant, which limits
its uses, although not sure there will be much need for Indian drivers to go on the muddy stuff. We can
tell you the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport automatic model will be in good company, as it will compete with
the likes of the Toyota Fortuner 4×2 AT, Ford Endeavour 4×2 AT and the SsangYong Rexton RX7 AT.

As for the specs and features you can head over to the official website where there are details on its
design and performance, and you can also download an e-brochure. However, we can tell you it
comes with a 2.5-litre turbocharged CRDi diesel engine with a power output of 178 horsepower and a
peak torque of 350Nm, which happens between 2,000 to 2,500 rpm.
The power of this variant is the same as the 4WD option but its torque is now 50Nm less, which is a
small price to pay for that 5-speed automatic transmission. However, on the plus side, this new
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport automatic is more fuel efficient, although no figures have been shared as to
how much you get to the gallon.
