on the sun-bathed peninsula of the north shore on Vermilion’s Wake-em-up Narrows. Muskego has
been renowned for generations as an exceptional family and fishing resort. While inaccessible by
road, the resort is just a 2-minute boat ride from our south shore parking area. Isolated -Yes! - But
readily accessible.
Your desire for quiet and privacy is always respected, but if you are activity minded, you can enjoy
fishing, water skiing, canoeing, swimming or playing at our private sand beach, horseshoes,
volleyball, basketball, and badminton.
Lake Vermilion and Land of the Voyageurs
The French Voyageur, the Chippewa, and the Fur Trader at one time existed in this area where the
glacial flow of nature formed the land and waters out of a dim and misty past. The beauty the glacier
left behind is excelled in few places in America. Vermilion, “Lake of the Glowing Red Sunset” as
named by the Chippewa, is commonly regarded among the three most beautiful lakes in the
country—a lake 40 miles long, with 1300 miles of shoreline, and dotted with 365 wooded islands. As
you might expect, the area abounds with wildlife—ranging from deer, wolves, bears, and moose, to
foxes, beavers, and otters.

We feel Vermilion has one of the finest total fish populations of all the Minnesota lakes and we
encourage the practice of selective harvest.
Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Sunfish, & Crappie
Our pro shop offers a large inventory of tackle, live bait, licenses, maps, guide service, gas, and of
course lots of fish stories. We also sell groceries, refreshments, souvenirs, gifts, and clothing at our
store. And for your convenience there is also a laundry facility.

CABINS
Each of our cabins has a full kitchen, fireplace, screened porch or deck, at least one bathroom, and a
great view of the lake. They are well furnished with quality bedding, towels, pots & pans, utensils,
coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, etc.
