Il miracolo eucaristico di Lanciano
Lanciano è conosciuta in tutto il mondo per il primo Miracolo Eucaristico che la storia della
Chiesa Cattolica ricordi, avvenuto nel secolo VIII, in risposta ai dubbi di un monaco brasiliano,
attraverso la trasformazione dell’ostia sacra in carne e del vino in sangue. Le reliquie sono
composte da cinque grumi di sangue e una sottile membrana di carne circolare, conservati in
un ostensorio di scuola napoletana, nella chiesa di San Francesco.Alcune indagini scientifiche
hanno accertato che nel Sangue sono presenti tutte le proteine caratteristiche del plasma
e la Carne è costituita da tessuto muscolare del cuore, appartenenti alla stessa persona.
Ogni anno questo straordinario miracolo richiama migliaia di fedeli.

Catholic Church history memories, which occurred in the eighth century, in response to
the doubts of a Brazilian monaco, through the transformation of the host sacred flesh and
the wine into blood. The relics consist of five blood clots and a thin membrane of flesh

Manoppello ogni anno è meta di migliaia di pellegrini che arrivano qui
per vedere il velo raffigurante l’immagine di Cristo che, insieme alla
Sacra Sindone, è ritenuta uno dei volti originali di Gesù. Secondo gli
studiosi l’immagine, delle misure di 17 per 24 centimetri, è “acheròpita”,
cioè non disegnata o dipinta da mano umana ed ha una caratteristica
unica, quella di essere visibile da entrambi i lati.
