Wir sind uns wohl alle der Tatsache bewusst, dass Wien nicht
Europas größte Mode-Metropole ist. Das merkt man spätestens

Die kleinen Geschäfte abseits der großen Shoppingmeilen
sind oft nur schwer zu finden. Shopping-Touren führen
zu den versteckten Geheimtipps in den Seitengassen.
Die lebendige Mode- und Designszene des 7. und 5. Bezirks
sind der Schwerpunkt der 7tm Shop-Touren. Speziell der 7.
Bezirk ist Wiens Mekka für aktuelle Styletrends.
Hier finden Fashion-Victims zahlreiche Geschäfte mit einer
großen Auswahl an Mode, Schuhen und Accessoires aller
Stilrichtungen. Bei den geführten Shopping-Touren von 7tm
führen erfahrene Stylistinnen durch diesen siebten
Modehimmel.
Die 7tm-Touren rund um die Kettenbrückengasse im 5.
Bezirk stehen unter dem Motto "Sweets, Vintage & Fashion."
Auch spezielle Touren für Männer in Sachen Mode werden
angeboten. Durchschnittlich dauern die Touren zwei bis drei
Stunden und sind für maximal 8 Personen gedacht.
Der 1. und 7. Bezirk stehen bei "Shopping with Lucie" am

The video provides insights into the re-creation of the hotel ‘Maison Champs-Elysées’ in Paris by the team of the
French couture house Maison Martin Margiela, which "...creates a theatrical environment where reality and trompel’œil are mixing together." The founder of the maison, Belgian designer Martin Margiela has left the house in 2009.

Neubau. Heute eröffnet im siebenten Bezirk das Schweizer Taschenlabel Freitag
seinen ersten Wienshop. Jetzt ist der Taschen-Cluster im Grätzel komplett. Eine
gute Lage entscheidet über den Erfolg.

Wien. Eine gute Lage entscheidet über Erfolg oder
Misserfolg eines Geschäftes. Ersterer ist bei dem neuen
Taschenshop des Schweizer Labels Freitag in Wien
Neubau so gut wie vorprogrammiert. Die bunten
Taschen aus alten LKW-Planen, die zur
Grundausstattung eines urbanen, stil- aber auch
umweltbewussten Großstädters gehören, passen perfekt
in die Neubaugasse. Es wundert fast, dass sich die
erfolgreichen Brüder Markus und Daniel Freitag nicht
schon längst ebendort mit einer Dependance
niedergelassen haben. Unweit der alternativen
Modemeile Lindengasse eröffnet heute, Freitag, der
erste Freitag-Flagshipstore Wiens.
Dort wo früher Modelleisenbahnen verkauft wurden,
werden nun auf rund 120 Quadratmetern 1600 Taschen
präsentiert. „Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Ecke hier
passt“, sagt Markus Freitag, während er stolz durch den
neuen Shop führt. Ausgewählt hat er den Standort –
wie alle fünf in den Nachbarländern auch – bei einer
Bezirksinspektion mit dem Fahrrad. Immerhin sind ja
auch die Taschen alle fahrradtauglich. Im Geschäft
vermitteln die unverputzten Wände Industriecharme, in
Papierschubladen werden die verschiedenen Taschen
der ursprünglichen „Fundamental“-Kollektion gelagert.
Wer das nötige Kleingeld besitzt, kann sich hier etwa
einen großen Rucksack aus alten LKW-Planen um 260
Euro kaufen. Seit September vertreibt Freitag allerdings
nicht nur die typischen bunten Umhängetaschen aus
Plastik-planen, sondern unter dem Namen „Reference“
eine „normale“ Taschenkollektion – sozusagen die
erwachsenen Freitag-Taschen. Immerhin wollte man
nach 18 Jahren im Geschäft auch eine andere
Zielgruppe gewinnen.

Gutes Geschäft trotz hoher Preise
Dass „die Ecke passt“, haben nicht nur die FreitagBrüder erkannt, sondern auch einige andere
Taschendesigner. Dort wo sich Linden- und
Neubaugasse kreuzen, ist mittlerweile so etwas wie ein
Taschen-Cluster entstanden. Seit 2002 verkauft die
österreichische Designerin Ina Kent in der Lindengasse
Ledertaschen und Gürtel.
