GOLF RULES OF THE DAY

Rory O'Keefe plays golf on Sunday mornings with three Orthodox
Jews. Every me the Jews break par, while he shoots 90.
O'Keefe asks the Jews for their secret. It's their religion, they
inform him. We go to Shul, study, pray, celebrate all the fesvals
and Shabbat, and then have great rounds.
Desperate to play well, over the winter O'Keefe converts, joins a
Shul, prays, studies, celebrates the fesvals and Shabbat, and
looks forward to Spring to see his buddies again on the golf
course.
Spring arrives, he meets his friends, and they tee up.
Again, the Orthodox Jews break par, and he shoots 90.
Frustrated, O'Keefe explains he is now Jewish and obeys every
commandment at all mes.
One Orthodox Jew asks; "Which Synagogue did you join?"
"Shaare Zedek", O'Keefe replies.
"Fool" comes the reply. "That's the Synagogue for tennis."
TEXAS SCRAMBLE

Each foursome must use at least 3 drives per golfer.
Each player hits their own ball from the tee on every hole.
The team then decides which ball is in the best posion
and then move the other three balls to that posion.
The next shot is then played from that posion.
Connue this process unl the ball is holed.
All female parcipants will play from the Red tees.
All male parcipants will play from the White tees.
Please hand in the scorecard to the Marquee Centre
following your round.
THE 1O COMMANDMENTS OF GOLF
1. THOU SHALT NOT covet thy neighbour’s pu_er.
2. THOU SHALT NOT pick up lost balls before they stop
rolling.
3. THOU SHALT NOT wager with those who carry a one
iron.
4. THOU SHALT NOT play "inside the leather" with a 52"
pu_er.
5. THOU SHALT NOT build thy house of handicap with sand
bags.
6. THOU SHALT NOT worship St. Mulligan, except on the 1st
tee.
7. THOU SHALT NOT imitate a stunt driver in a golf cart.
8. THOU SHALL yell "Fore!" before the body hits the
ground.
9. THOU SHALL restrict profanity on the course to three
puang or worse.
10. THOU SHALL throw thy clubs in non-lethal direcons.

11,000 teen volunteers.
The Friendship Circle's unique approach brings together
teenage volunteers and children with special needs for hours
of fun and friendship. These shared experiences empower
the children, our special friends, while enriching the lives of
everyone involved.
Our special friends blossom and gain the confidence they
need to make the most their abilities and talents.
Every child is a precious soul – an entire world –
worthy of love, laughter, nurturing and connection.
“The Friendship Circle has been a tremendous opportunity
to get more involved in the community in a more meaningful
way. [Since becoming part of the Friendship Circle] I have
had the great pleasure of getting to know a wonderful child,
Arnold, and his mother. Every Monday my fellow volunteer
and I visit them and participate in various activities that
help bring joy to the family and help both Arnold's and our
own personal development. This program has meant so
much to me that it has become a major factor to consider in
choosing between staying in Calgary or going away for
university studies. Although I cannot predict the future,
I certainly believe that my participation in Friendship Circle
will continue for a long time to come, and I am very grateful
to the program and Arnold for all of the life lessons they
have taught me."
