Bienvenue
Perché sur un plateau, au cœur des Alpes suisses, le village bénéficie d’un microclimat
méditerranéen.
Aux alentours, on trouve encore de nombreux mayens, habitations alpestres rudimentaires,
faites de pierre et de bois bruni par le soleil.
La place du village exclusivement réservée aux piétons est un endroit privilégié. De grands
chalets boisés entourent cette zone piétonne. Les commerces forment une galerie continue
dans le village où se succèdent boutiques, restaurants et terrasses, zone de jeux et de
détente. Les hôtes apprécient à juste titre cet endroit sécurisant pour les parents et les
enfants.
Station de moyenne grandeur, accueillante et sympathique, Anzère domine la vallée du
Rhône, face aux Alpes valaisannes. Son panorama s’étend du Bietschhorn au Massif du
Mont-Blanc, 12 géants de plus de 4'000 mètres s’offrent à vos yeux.
Anzère station verte
Construit sur l’emplacement d’anciens pâturages, le village d’Anzère est fier de poursuivre
les objectifs de sa commune, Ayent, labélisée « Cité de l’énergie » depuis 2004. Depuis
octobre 2011, Anzère a inauguré la plus grande centrale de chauffage à granulés d’Europe,
offrant ainsi à ses hôtes et habitants une énergie propre et renouvelable en éradiquant
progressivement l’utilisation de mazout. Le barrage de Zeuzier fournit également le village
en courant vert. Anzère met un point d’honneur à développer ses infrastructures afin
d’influencer au mieux le comportement de ses hôtes en proposant des services favorisant le

Willkommen
Anzère ist auf ehemaligem Weideland gebaut und durch diese südliche Lage äusserst sonnig.
Auf einer Hochebene im Herzen der Schweizer Alpen thronend, geniesst das Dorf ein
mediterranes Mikroklima. Rund ums Dorf findet man immer noch „Mayens“, urige Almhausungen aus Stein und sonnengegerbtem, schwarzem Holz.
Der autofreie Dorfplatz ist ein besonderer Ort. Grosse mit Holz verkleidete Chalets umringen
diese Fussgängerzone. Die Geschäfte bilden eine Galerie, wo sich Boutiquen, Restaurants
mit Terrassen, Spielplätze und Erholungszone befinden. Kinder und Eltern geniessen diesen
Platz ohne Autos.
Anzère befindet sich in bester Südlage oberhalb des Rottentals mit einem herrlichen Blick auf
die Walliser Alpen. Sein Panorama reicht vom Bietschhorn bis zum Mont-Blanc Massif. Vor
ihren Augen liegen über 12 Viertausender.

Anzère ist stolz seit 2004 die Ziele seiner Gemeinde als Energiestadt zu folgen.
Im Oktober 2011 ist die grösste mit Holzpellets befeuerte Heizzentrale Europas in Betrieb
genommen worden um den Gästen eine ökologische und nachhaltige Heizung anzubieten
und damit mehr als 1'500’000 Liter Heizöl pro Jahr einzusparen.
Der Staudamm von Zeuzier liefert unserem Dorf den Strom. Ebenfalls eine saubere „naturemade“- Energie. Es ist Anzère sehr wichtig Angebote zu entwickeln, die das Verhalten seiner
Einwohner und Gäste nachhaltig beeinflussen und Dienstleistungen anzubieten, welche die

Welcome
Built on the site of bygone grazing land, the village of Anzère faces due south. Perched on
a plateau in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the village enjoys a Mediterranean microclimate. In
the region, one can still find the “Mayens”, simple alpine summer quarters, made of wood
and stone, burnished by the sun.
The centre of the village has the advantage of being exclusively pedestrian. Large timbered
chalets surround this car-free zone. Shops, boutiques, restaurants and café terraces encompass the square, together with a playground and relaxation areas. Visitors really appreciate
this situation and parents have no need to worry about their children.
Anzère, welcoming and friendly is a medium sized resort overlooking the Rhone valley. It has
a sweeping panoramic view on the Valaisan Alps with 12 peaks over 4’000 meters high,
extending from the Bietschhorn to the Mont-Blanc.

Chemins pedestres
Wanderwege / Walks
166 km de chemins pédestres balisés parcourent toute la région, traversant forêts et
clairières, vignobles, prairies et alpages. Les randonneurs seront émerveillés par la beauté
des sites et la qualité des parcours. Les bisses, (petits ruisseaux à très faible déclivité)
construits au XVème siècle, font partie des plus belles promenades. Deux d’entre eux vous
amènent au barrage de Zeuzier en 2h30. Les chemins de haute montagne vous conduisent
jusqu’au Glacier du Wildhorn à 3’247m d’altitude ou au Col du Rawyl. Le tour du Wildhorn est
une grande randonnée pédestre de 4 à 6 jours autour du massif du Wildhorn entre le canton
de Berne et du Valais. La saison de ce tour bat son plein entre le 20 juillet et la fin septembre.

166 km markierte Wanderwege durchqueren das ganze Gebiet, durch Wälder, Wiesen und
über Almen. Die Schönheit der Landschaft und die gut unterhaltenen Pfade begeistern die
Wanderer. Die Suonen (Bisses) oder Wasserwege wurden im 15. Jahrhundert zur Wasserversorgung errichtet und ermöglichen sehr schöne Spaziergänge. Zwei davon führen sie in ca
2:30 Stunden zum Stausee Zeuzier. Hochgebirgswege führen auf den Wildhorngletscher und
zum Rawylpass.
Die Wildhorn Tour ist eine 4 bis 6 Tage Wanderung rund um das Wildhorn zwischen den
Kantonen Bern und Wallis.Wenn der Col des Audannes schneefrei ist (meistens Mitte Juli) bis
im Herbst wieder der erste Schnee fällt kann die Tour du Wildhorn begangen werden.

Dank der Linie Botyre (Ayent) können Sie zwischen Sion und Anzère eine wunderschöne
Wanderung « Le Chemin du Musée“ geniessen und das Walliser Suonen-Museum in Botyre

166 km of footpaths cover the region, winding through forests, open space, vineyards,
pastures and high altitude. Hikers will discover a unique natural site with well-marked paths.
The bisses (artificial small water canals), built in the 15th century, are some of the most
beautiful footpaths. Two of these bisses lead to the Zeuzier dam about 2h30 of walking. The
high mountain trails also lead to the Wildhorn Glacier and the “Col du Rawyl” Mountain Pass
at 3’247m. The Tour du Wildhorn is a 4 to 6 days trekking around the Wildhorn massif partly
on the canton of Bern and partly on the canton of Valais. Best season for Tour du Wildhorn

Musée des Bisses
Suonenmuseum / “Bisses“ Museum
Le Musée des Bisses se situe à Botyre (Commune d’Ayent), à 7 km de Sion, sur laroute
conduisant à Anzère et à Crans-Montana. Le cadre du musée est la «Maison peinte», un
édifice classé datant du XVIIème siècle. 270 m2 d'exposition sont dorénavant voués à
l’histoire des bisses à travers les siècles. Sur quatre niveaux, c’est un véritable voyage dans
le temps qui est proposé aux visiteurs. Près de 1000 documents, des centaines d’objets et
différentes «reconstitutions» permettent au visiteur de comprendre pourquoi le bisse fut
pendant si longtemps un élément déterminant du développement de la région.
Das Suonenmuseum in Botyre,( Gemeinde Ayent) ist seit kurzem eröffnet. Es liegt an der
Strasse, die von Sitten , Sion aus ,sowohl nach Anzère, wie nach Crans-Montana führt. Den
Rahmen des Museums bildet das " Bemalte Haus", ein Gebäude aus dem 17. Jahrhundert,
unter Denkmalschutz stehend. Im Herzen de Dörfchens, kann man die Geschichte der
Walliser Suonen auf 270 m2 Ausstellungsfläche über Jahrhunderte verfolgen. Auf 4 Etagen
verteilt, tritt der Besucher eine Reise in die Vergangenheit an. Fast 1000 Dokumente,
hunderte von Gegenständen, verschiedene Nachbauten ( einige davon ausserhalb des
Museums ) erlauben dem Besucher einen Eindruck zu bekommen warum die Suonen ein so
wichtiger Faktor für die Entwicklung der Region gewesen sind und bis in die heutige Zeit bleiben.
The “Musée des Bisses“ is located in Botyre (commune of Ayent), 7 km away from Sion on
the road to Anzère and Crans-Montana. The “painted house” in Botyre welcomes the
museum, a listed building from the 17th century. On 4 stages 270 m2 are devoted to the
history of the “Bisses” and offer a trip in the past to the visitors. Around 1000 documents,
hundreds of objects and different reconstructions permit to understand why the “Bisses”
were a decisive element to the development of the region over the time.

Trois étangs de pêche sont à disposition des hôtes dans un cadre idyllique. Les permis de
pêche sont en vente à l’office du tourisme. Les animations hebdomadaires proposent une
journée de pêche accompagnée.

There are three fishing ponds in the region, in natural surroundings. Fishing permits are on
sale at Anzere tourist office. A weekly fishing outing is organized by the Anzere tourist office,
with experts to help.

L’Ecole de Parapente est très active. Des moniteurs organisent des cours pour l’obtention de
brevets, des stages et des vols biplaces. Les thermiques très favorables de la région attirent
de nombreux adeptes en toute saison.
Die Gleitschirmschule ist sehr aktiv. Zwei diplomierte Lehrer organisieren Kurse, Lehrgänge
und 2er Flüge. Die sehr günstige Thermik der Gegend zieht viele Anhänger dieses Sports
nach Anzère an.
The Anzère Paragliding School is very active, both in winter and summer. Instructors give
lessons leading to pilot licence exams, training courses and two-seater flights. The excellent
thermal conditions attract many paraglide enthusiasts.

VTT Cross Country & Descente
Mountain Bike
La station propose 80 km répartis sur 5 parcours de VTT cross country balisés.
Deux pistes de VTT de descente sont également à disposition. La piste noire, dont le départ
se situe au sommet de la télécabine offre un dénivelé de 700m et un degré de difficulté digne
d’une vrai piste noire. La piste rouge prend son départ depuis l’intermédiaire de la télécabine
pour commencer dans un pierrier et continuer dans le secteur « forêt ». Crazy Corner
propose la location de VTT à la journée ou demi-journée.
Die Station bietet 80 Km Mountain Bike Strecken auf fünf verschiedenen Touren verteilt.
Zwei Downhill Strecken stehen ebenso zur Verfügung. Die schwarze Piste beginnt auf dem
Pas-de-Maimbré und bietet ca. 700 Meter Höhenunterschied und technische Vorraussetzungen. Die rote Piste fängt bei der Mittelstation der Gondelbahn an und geht durch den Wald
bis zum Parkplatz der Bergbahn. Crazy Corner vermietet Mountain Bikes für den Tag oder
Halbtag.
Anzère offers 80 km of mountain bike routes divided in five tours.
Two downhill mountainbike tracks are also available in the resort. The black track begins at
the “Pas-de-Maimbré”, top of the cable car and offers about 700m difference in altitude and
technical challenges. The red track starts at the middle station of the cable car, winds into
the forest to end up at the parking lot of the cable car. Crazy Corner rents moutainbikes for
the day or half day.

ESCALADE
Plus de 300 voies sont équipées sur différents secteurs de la région : Anzère, Arbaz et le
Rawyl. Ces différentes falaises proposent une grande variété d’escalade pour les grimpeurs
confirmés comme pour les débutants. Livre détaillé en vente à l’Office du tourisme. Un pan
intérieur est également ouvert au public à Grimisuat.
KLETTERN
In unserer Gegend befinden sich mehr als 300 gekennzeichnete Kletterwege: Anzère (Pierre
à Péré für Anfänger), Arbaz und Rawyl. Ein detailliertes Buch können Sie im Tourismusbüro
kaufen. Ein Innenwand ist auch zur Verfügung in Grimisuat.
CLIMBING
There are over 300 climbing passages in the region, in different sectors. This variety of cliffs
and walls offer a choice of different features for beginners as well as for advanced climbers
: Anzère, Arbaz and Rawyl. A detailed book is for sale at Anzère tourist office. An indoor wall
is at disposal in Grimisuat.
PARCOURS VITA ET FITNESS
Anzère possède un magnifique parcours Vita et Fitness qui serpente en forêt et suit une
partie du Bisse d’Ayent. L’Hôtel Eden possède un espace wellness et un espace fitness l’Hôtel Zodiaque possède un sauna. Ces installations sont ouvertes au public. Anzère Spa &
Wellness ainsi que l’Hôtel des Masques proposent également une salle de fitness.
TRIMMDICHPFAD VITALAUF UND FITNESS
Ein wunderbarer Trimmdichpfad und Fitness (Vitaparcours) führt durch den Wald. Das Hotel
Eden stellt allen Gästen einen kleinen Fitnessraum und einen Wellnessraum zur Verfügung.
Das Hotel Zodiaque hat eine Sauna. Anzère Spa & Wellness sowie das Hotel des Masques
bieten einen Fitnessraum an.

qui accueille chaque année l’European Master, l’un des tournois professionnels les plus cotés
en Europe, ainsi qu’un 9 trous conçu par Jack Niklaus (par 35). Un «approach golf» est également à disposition des débutants. Sierre et Sion proposent tous deux des parcours 18 trous.
Anzère se trouve au coeur de cette zone de golf.

There is an 18 hole golf course in Crans Montana (15 km from Anzère) where the European
Masters Tournament is held every year, one of the most appreciated professional tournaments in Europe. There is also a 9 hole course designed by Jack Niklaus (par 35). The Golf
Club Sierre and the golf club in Sion features an 18 hole course, Anzère is within a 30 minute
drive from these Clubs.

A côté de la garde de départ de la Télécabine se trouvent des pistes de pétanque. Des tournois y sont
régulièrement organisés. Une piste est également à disposition à l’Ice Cube Café sur la place du village et 6
pistes au restaurant La Pizzeria de la Poste. Neben der Gondelbahn befinden sich Bahnen für Pétanque.
Turniere sind dort regelmäßig organisiert. Eine Bahn ist ebenso zur Verfügung im Ice Cube Café auf dem
Dorfplatz und 6 Bahnen im Restaurant „La pizzeria de la Poste“. Tracks for petanque are located next to
the cable car departure station. Tournaments are regularly organized. A track is also available at the Ice

Weinbau, Ackerbau und Viehzucht
VITICULTE, AGRICULTURE ET ELEVAGE
Avant le développement touristique, les habitants vivaient principalement de la viticulture,
de l’agriculture et de l’élevage. De ces activités sont nés des plats typiquement valaisans tels
que la raclette, l’assiette de viande séchée accompagnée de succulents vins du terroir dont
les plus connus sont le Fendant et la Dôle. Le Valais produit plus d’une cinquantaine de
spécialités de vins. Les encaveurs de la région vous ouvrent leurs portes pour des dégustations et la vente de leur production. Le Bisse de Clavau est un sentier didactique au cœur du
vignoble et vous amène de Icogne à Sion.
L’élevage des vaches de la race d’Hérens est à l’origine d’une coutume les plus typiques du
Valais : le combat de Reines. Ces vaches noires et trapues obéissent à une hiérarchie : c’est
la Reine qui guide le troupeau. C’est tout naturellement que ces bêtes combattent entre elles
pour la désigner. Ces combats ne sont jamais dangereux et suscitent l’engouement du public.
Les premiers combats ont lieu à l’inalpe (juin). Le retour des vaches en plaine a lieu à en
septembre : c’est la désalpe.
WEINBAU, ACKERBAU UND VIEHZUCHT
Vor der Entwicklung des Tourismus lebte die Bevölkerung vorwiegend vom Weinbau, vom
Ackerbau und von der Viehzucht. Aus diesen Aktivitäten sind die typischen Walliserspezialitäten entstanden, wie das Raclette und das Walliser Trockenfleisch. Serviert mit guten
einheimischen Weinen, am besten bekannt ist der Fendant und der Dôle. Das Wallis produziert mehr als fünfzig Weinspezialitäten. Sie haben die Möglichkeit in den Weinkellern der
Region Wein zu degustieren und einzukaufen. Der Bisse de Clavau, ist ein Wanderweg-Lehrpfad durch die Rebberge von Icogne nach Sion.
Die Zucht der Eingerkühe führt auf einen der traditionellsten Bräuche des Wallis zurück :
den Kuhkampf. Diese schwarzen, wuchtigen Kühe folgen einer Hierarchie : die Herde wird
von der Königin geleitet. Diese Tiere kämpfen ganz natürlich, von sich aus um sie zu bestimmen. Die Kämpfe sind nie gefährlich und sie bringen das Publikum zum Schwärmen. Zum
Almauftrieb, Mitte Juni, findet der erste Kampf statt. Mitte September komme die Kühe
zurück ins Tal, das ist der Almabtrieb.
WINE GROWING, AGRICULTURE AND CATTLE REARING
Before the development of tourism in Valais, the people gained their living principally by
wine growing, agriculture and cattle rearing. These industries gave rise to typical Valaisan
specialities such as “raclette” (melted cheese) and “viande séchée” (dried meat), accompanied by the delicious local wines, notably Fendant and Dôle. Over fifty varieties of wines are
produced in Valais. The wine cellars are open for wine-tasting and purchasing products. In
the heart of the vineyards, the «bisse» of Clavau leads from Icogne to Sion with information
panels on the cultivation of grapes along the way.
The cattle rearing of the Hérens breed has been the origin of one of the most typical
Valaisan custom : “le combat de Reines” (the fight to be queen). These stocky black cows
obey a strict hierarchy : the “Queen” controls the herd, and there is fierce competition
among themselves for this honour. The fights are never dangerous and attract a large public.
The first combat take place in mid-June when the cows leave to move up to the summer
pastures (the inalpe). The herds return to lower altitude in mid-September (the “désalpe”).

Observatoire
Observatorium / Observatory
Des soirées astronomie sont organisées toutes les semaines à l’observatoire d’Arbaz-Anzère.
Le grand télescope de 40 cm, situé à l’étage, deux télescopes de 20 cm, une caméra CCD haute
résolution, des jumelles apochromatiques de 10 cm et 5 postes pour l’astrophotographie
constituent l’équipement de base de l’observatoire. Des visites privées peuvent également
être organisées.

organisiert werden.
Visits to the Arbaz-Anzère observatory are organized every week. It is equipped with one 40

Spielplatz und Dorfplatz / Village square
L’animation en été est absolument remarquable. Chaque jour il se passe quelque chose à
Anzère ! Journée de pêche, randonnées accompagnées, visites de caves et dégustations de
vins ou produits du terroir, petits déjeuners à l’alpage, nuit à la cabane des Audannes,
tournois de pétanque ou vols biplaces en parapente….
Chaque week-end, des manifestations sont organisées dans la station : fête du Bœuf, Tour
des Alpages, Course de Côte, Fête Nationale, Vini-fête, Mi-été ainsi que la Coupe Suisse de
VTT de descente IXS. Une fête folklorique vient souvent agrémenter le tout.
La place du village, sans voitures, est aménagée de sorte que les hôtes puissent s’y retrouver. Pit-Pat, jeux d'échec, tables de ping-pong, place de jeux pour les petits, Air Bag, terrain
multisports, sont à disposition.
Im Sommer geschieht jeden Tag etwas in Anzere : Angeltag, begleitete Wanderungen,
Spaziergänge in den Reben mit Weinprobe, Frühstück auf der Alm, Übernachtung in der
«Cabane des Audannes», Boccia Tournier, Hängegleiter - 2er Flüge.
Jedes Wochenende sind Veranstaltungen organisiert : Ochsenfest, Tour des Alpages
(Bergrennen), Automobilbergrennen, 1. August, Weinfest, Mittsommerfest und das IXS Swiss
Downhill Cup.
Der autofreie Dorfplatz ist ein Begegnungsplatz für unsere Gäste. Pit-Pat, Ping-Pong-Tische,
Air Bag, Spielplatz für Kinder sowie ein Multisportplatz stehen zu Ihrer Verfügung.
There are a variety of summer activities in Anzère. Each day, something different is scheduled and organised by the Tourist Office: Fishing days, guided excursions, vineyard visits and
wine tasting, overnight stays at the Audanne Mountain Lodge, petanque tournaments and
twin-seat paraglide flights.
Every week-end, an event is organized : the Beef Festival, Tour des Alpages, Papival Bike
Tour, Car race, National day, Wine festival and the IXS Swiss Downhill Cup.
The village square, free of cars, is equipped with a Pit-Pat game, ping-pong tables, Air Bag,
playground and surface for football.

Ski - snowboard
19 décembre 2014 au 12 avril 2015 et les 3 week-ends précédents si les conditions le permettent.
La station d’Anzère dispose de 58 kilomètres de pistes préparées et situées entre 1500 et 2500 mètres
d’altitude. 1 téléski et un tapis magique accueillent les enfants et les débutants au centre du village.
Deux tapis magiques sont à disposition des débutants au sommet du Pas-de-Maimbré. Un magnifique
Flypark au Tsalan vous attend.
19. Dezember 2014 bis zum 12. April 2015 und die drei vorhergehenden Wochenenden wenn die Voraussetzungen geeignet sind. Anzère besitzt 58 km gut präparierten Pisten auf einer Höhe zwischen 1500m
und 2500m und einem fantastischen Snowpark. Im Dorf gibt es einen Skilift und einen Laufband für
Kinder und Anfänger. Zwei Laufbände stehen zur Verfügung auf dem Pas-de-Maimbré. Im Tsalan erleben
sensationelle Gefühle im Flypark.
From December 19th 2014 to April 12th 2015 and the three previous weekends if the conditions Anzère
domain covers 58 kilometres of skiing terrain at an altitude of between 1,500 and 2,500. There is a special
ski lift and a magic carpet for children and beginners in the village - Two magic carpets await you at the
top of the Pas-de-Maimbré and experience extreme sensations at the Flypark beside the Tsalan slope.

Sur les 166 km de chemins pédestres balisés, environ 35 km sont entretenus à la dameuse durant l’hiver.

Ski de fond - Langlauf - Cross country skiing
La piste de fond le Go, longue de 3.5 km serpente à travers mélèzes et sapins mais la grande partie de la
boucle traverse une grande prairie sans obstacle.
Die Loipe «Le Go» (3.5 km) windet sich zwischen Tannen und Lärchen, aber ihr grösster Teil durchquert
eine weite Wiese.
The «Go» cross-country ski track winds through 3.5km of larch and fir tree forest, but the greater part is
over wide open land.
Pistes de luge - Schlittenbahn - Sledging slope
La piste de luge des Rousses » débute à l’intermédiaire du télésiège des Rousses. Belle descente en
parallèle de la piste de ski et dans la forêt avec un dénivelé de 400m
Die Schlittenbahn „Les Rousses“ fängt bei der Mittelstation des Sesselliftes Les Rousses an. Es ist eine schöne
Abfahrt, welche parallel zur Skipiste und durch den Wald führt, mit einem Höhenunterschied von 400 m.
The sledging slope begins at the intermediary stop of “Les Rousses” chair lift. The track descends
through the forest parallel to the ski run.
