things to do, with or without, your children
during the long summer holidays.
This year we have a new middle section
to the brochure, which can be pulled out
and referred to separately. This section is
dedicated to activities for 13-19 years olds.
We still have the highly popular Calendar
of Events section in the brochure, which
can also be pulled out and used as an easy
reference for planning your activities.

which has been put together by Welwyn
Hatfield Borough Council, Welwyn Garden

Artscool is five days of creative fun which includes a variety
of exciting creative workshops which may include animation,
using the dark room, painting, sculpting, clay work, filming and

Wednesday 18th August
Work on a Neo-Noir style as used in films such as Batman
Begins, Sin City and Hellboy. You will learn how to develop an
initial idea into a storyboard; work with a small self-selected
group; take up a role within a production team to shoot film;
learn elements of post-production such as effects, editing and
sound; receive a copy of your own short film | The course will
finish with a preview screening that parents and carers can
