Gesetzlich bindende Grenzwerte für die sechs Phthalsäurederivate DINP, DEHP, DBP, DIDP, DNOP und BBP finden
sich in der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1907/2006 (REACH, Anhang XVII Eintrag 51 und 52). Danach dürfen die Substanzen
DEHP, DBP und BBP nicht als Stoffe oder als Bestandteile von Zubereitungen in Konzentrationen von mehr als 0,1
Massenprozent des weichmacherhaltigen Materials in Spielzeug und Babyartikeln verwendet werden. Spielzeug und
Babyartikel, die diese Phthalate in Konzentrationen von mehr als 0,1 Massenprozent des weichmacherhaltigen Materials
enthalten, dürfen nicht in Verkehr gebracht werden.
Die Substanzen DINP, DIDP und DNOP dürfen nicht als Stoffe oder als Bestandteile von Zubereitungen in
Konzentrationen von mehr als 0,1 Massenprozent des weichmacherhaltigen Materials in Spielzeug und Babyartikeln
verwendet werden, die von Kindern in den Mund genommen werden können. Spielzeug und Babyartikel, die diese
Phthalate in Konzentrationen von mehr als 0,1 Massenprozent des weichmacherhaltigen Materials enthalten, dürfen
nicht in Verkehr gebracht werden.
Die Phthalate DEHP, DBP, DIBP und BBP sind im Rahmen der REACH-Verordnung auf der ECHA Kandidatenliste für
„Substances of Very High Concern“ (SVHC) vom 28.10.2008 / 13.01.2010. Ab einem jeweiligen Gehalt von 0,1 % im
Gesamterzeugnis können in diesem Zusammenhang Maßnahmen erforderlich werden.

Legally binding limits for the phthalate plasticizers DINP, DEHP, DBP, DIDP, DNOP und BBP are found in regulation
1907/2006/EC and in the German Consumer Goods Ordinance (BedGgstV). A limit of 1000 mg/kg is given for the total
amount of DEHP, DBP and BBP. Furthermore a limit of 0.1 % is given for the total amount of DINP, DIDP and DNOP for
toys and baby articles which can be taken into the mouth by children.
Under the REACH regulation DEHP, DBP, DIBP and BBP are also part of the ECHA candidate list of Substances of Very
High Concern (SVHC) of 28.10.2008 / 13.01.2010.
