COVIRO è una azienda vivaistica, costituita nel 1978,
che produce direttamente e commercializza materiale vivaistico certificato. La produzione riguarda principalmente piante di fragola e zampe d’asparago.
COVIRO da anni si prefigge di contribuire al miglioramento
qualitativo della frutticoltura, garantendo il proprio materiale vivaistico (Virus-esente e CAC).
Dal 1987 è riconosciuto come Centro di moltiplicazione nell’ambito della Certificazione Nazionale volontaria della fragola, consapevole dell’importanza di
fornire ai propri clienti il miglior stato sanitario possibile e
l’assoluta certezza genetica del materiale vivaistico, ha
costituito campi di piante madri di fragola, con la collaborazione e sotto il rigido controllo del Servizio Fitosanitario
della Regione Emilia-Romagna. La produzione vivaistica è concentrata in gran parte in Emilia-Romagna e,
dal 2003, sono stati costituiti vivai per la produzione di
piantine fresche di fragola in Spagna e Polonia al fine di
soddisfare le esigenze dei propri clienti. COVIRO, socio
fondatore del C.A.V., dal 2006 aderisce al progetto sulla
certificazione di rintracciabilità di filiera.
COVIRO collabora con Enti e Istituzioni scientifiche nazionali ed internazionali nella gestione di campi sperimentali per la valutazione delle caratteristiche agronomiche e
commerciali di nuove varietà al fine di fornire agli agricoltori le ultime novità. Socio di maggioranza di COVIRO è la
CAB Comprensorio Cervese che conduce 1.200 ettari di
terreno, di cui 850 in proprietà, situati nei comuni di Cervia
e di Ravenna e che, oltre alla centenaria attività agricola iniziata nel 1904, è proprietaria del centro turistico “Le Ghiaine”, con ristorante, Garden Center, Cantina e gestisce la
manutenzione del campo golf “Adriatic Golf Club Cervia”.
COVIRO is an agricultural nursery company,
founded in 1978, that directly produces and sells
certified plants for the fruit-production field. The main nursery activity is the production of STRAWBERRY PLANTS
and ASPARAGUS CROWNS. COVIRO has been working
hard for many years guaranteeing its nursery products
(Virus-free and CAC) to contribute to the quality improving of the fruit-farming market. Since 1987, COVIRO has
been recognized as an accredited MULTIPLICATION
CENTER for the voluntary National Strawberry Certification program, with the awareness of the importance of
furnishing customers a satisfying product, guaranteeing
sanitary certainty and genetic nursery qualities.
COVIRO produces directly strawberry mother plants with
the collaboration and under the strict inspection of Phytosanitary Service of Emilia Romagna region. NURSERY
PRODUCTION is mostly located in Emilia Romagna and,
since 2003, new nurseries for fresh strawberry plants has
been established in Spain and Poland to satisfy customers requirements. COVIRO, associated with cooperative C.A.V. since 2006, agrees to a plan for the certification
of traceability of distribution chain. COVIRO collaborates
with several Italian and International Scientific Institutions
in the management of experimental fields to evaluate the
agronomic and commercial characteristics of new varieties for farmers. CAB Comprensorio Cervese is the main
partner of COVIRO. It manages 1.200 hectares of field,
whom it owns 850 hectares, located in Cervia
and Ravenna surroundings and, besides the
secular agricultural activity started in 1904, it
also owns the touristic

COVIRO ist ein Pflanzenzuchtbetrieb, der 1978 gegründet wurde. Wir produzieren und vermarkten zertifiziertes Baumschulmaterial. COVIRO produziert hauptsächlich
ERDBEERPFLANZEN und SPARGELPFLANZEN. COVIRO Ziel ist es, eine qualitative Verbesserung des Obstanbaus zu gewährleisten, indem wir uns dazu verpflichten,
unser Baumschulmaterial virenfrei und den Bedingungen
der EU-Gemeinschaftsvorschriften gemäß zu produzieren. Seit 1987 ist COVIRO im Rahmen des Nationalen
freiwilligen Zeritifizierungssystems für Erdbeeren in Italien
als FORSCHUNGSZENTRUM für FORTPFLANZUNG
anerkannt. Damit wir unseren Kunden Pflanzen in ausgezeichnetem Zustand liefern und für die höchste genetische
Qualität unseres Baumschulmaterial garantieren können, wurden eigens Felder
mit Erdbeer-Mutterpflanzen
angelegt, die ständig durch
den
Phytosanitärerdienst
der Region Emilia-Romagna
kontrolliert werden. Unsere
BAUMSCHULEN
befinden
sich hauptsächlich in der
Emilia-Romagna. Seit 2003
unterhalten wir auch in Spanien und Polen Baumschulen
für den Anbau von Erdbeerpflanzen, um den Wünschen unserer Kunden nachzukommen. COVIRO, Gründungsgesellschafter des
C.A.V. (Centro Attività Vivaistiche – Baumschulenzentrum),
nimmt seit 2006 an dem Projekt für die Zertifikation der
Produktionskette teil. COVIRO arbeitet mit verschiedenen
nationalen und internationalen Wissenschafts - und Forschungseinrichtungen zusammen, um neue Sorten und
ihre agronomischen und kommerziellen Merkmale für die
landwirtschaftlichen Erzeuger zu erforschen und zu beurteilen. Mehrheitsgesellschafter von COVIRO ist der CAB
Comprensorio Cervese, der ein Grundstück von 1.200 ha
in den Gemeinden von Cervia und Ravenna verwaltet, von
dem 850 mit eigener Verwaltung. Außer der langjährigen
Unternehmenserfahrung in der Landwirtschaft seit 1904,
CAB besitzt auch das Touristenzentrum “Le Ghiaine”, mit
Restaurant, Garden Center und Keller und ist für die Instandhaltung des Golfplatzes “Adriatic Golf Club Cervia”
verantwortlich.

Piante Frigoconservate
a radice nuda
Durante l’estate vengono prelevati gli apici degli stoloni e
fatti radicare e ingrossare in appositi contenitori con alveoli
da 9 fori (Tray Plant) o da 16 fori (Mini Tray) fino al mese di
Dicembre. Successivamente dopo la pulizia da foglie secche vengono selezionate e messe in casse per la conservazione frigorifera (piante prodotte solo su prenotazione).
La tipologia di pianta di fragola più diffusa nelle colture
tradizionali. Vengono prodotte su terreni tendenzialmente
sabbiosi, preventivamente sterilizzati. I vivai messi a dimora in primavera, vengono poi, dopo un ciclo vegetativo di
8-9 mesi, estirpati durante il riposo invernale. Le piante,
dopo un’accurata selezione, vengono confezionate e frigoconservate in cella frigorifera a –2°C fino al momento
dell’impianto.

This is the most popular kind of plant spread among traditional cultivations. This plant grows in previously sterilized
sandy soil, the nurseries are transplanted in spring, after 8-9
months of vegetative period, rooted out during winter rest.

This is a kind of plant used both for out of soil cultivation
(Tray Plant) and for soil cultivation. In summer stolons’ top
are sampled, rooted and expanded in specific containers
with 9 holes (Tray Plant) or 16 holes (Mini Tray) till December. Finally, after the removal of dry leaves, the plants
are selected and positioned in trunks for cold storage
conservation. This plants are produced only if previously
reserved.
FRIGOPFLANZEN

Im traditionellen Anbau werden diese Pflanzen am häufigsten verwendet. Frigopflanzen werden in überwiegend
sandigen Böden angebaut, die vorher sterilisiert wurden.
Die im Frühling angebauten Pflanzen werden nach einem
acht- bis neunmonatigen Vegetationszyklus für den Winter gerodet. Nach einer sorgfältigen Auswahl werden die
Pflanzen bei einer Temperatur von -2° eingelagert, bis sie
wieder gepflanzt werden.
Die Auswahl basiert auf der Größe des Wurzelhalses:

specializzati in altura (Spagna) o nell’Europa Centrale (Polonia) dove l’autunno freddo ed anticipato ai primi di ottobre
determina un blocco precoce dell’attività vegetativa della
pianta con la possibilità di estirpare le piantine e nel giro
di qualche giorno piantarle direttamente in campo. Queste
piantine sono in grado di produrre dopo 2-3 mesi dall’impianto, con una produzione prolungata nel tempo e con
frutti di qualità. Tipologia di pianta consigliata per ambienti
caldi del Sud Mediterraneo.

Unsere wurzelnackte Grünpflanzen werden in speziellen
Baumschulen im Hochland (in Spanien oder in Polen) angepflanzt, wo das Wachstum der Pflanzen durch den kalten und frühen Herbst Anfang Oktober unterbrochen wird,
sodass diese gerodet und wenige Tage später direkt auf
dem Feld angepflanzt werden können. Diese Pflanzen liefern 2-3 Monate nach der Anpflanzung den ersten Ertrag,
wobei die Produktion sich über einen langen Zeitraum erstreckt und die Früchte von sehr guter Qualität sind. Diese
Pflanzen eignen sich für warme, südliche Regionen des
Mittelmeers.

Tipologia di pianta utilizzata in alternativa a quella frigoconservata, solo per alcune varietà molto vigorose. Vengono prelevati gli apici degli stoloni e messi a radicare
in contenitori di polistirolo. Vengono utilizzate per avere un
leggero anticipo di maturazione rispetto alla pianta frigoconservata e con maggiore scalarità nella fase di raccolta.
Il periodo di piantagione è il mese di agosto (climi continentali) e di settembre/ottobre (climi caldi mediterranei).

This plants are used as an alternative to deep-frozen
plants, but only for much vigorous varieties for early production. The stolon top are collected from the nursery and
put in specific styrofoam boxes to start the process of rooting. Plug plants are used to anticipate a little bit the ripening compared to cold storage plant and to increase the
gradualness in harvest phase. Planting period is August
(Continental climate) and September/October (warm Mediterranean climate). This plants are produced only if previously reserved.

Cultivar interessante per rusticità ed elevata qualità dei frutti (pezzatura, aroma
e dolcezza). PIANTA di vigoria buona, produttività medio-elevata, resistente a patogeni del terreno, mediamente resistente ad antracnosi. Fiori ricchi di polline con bassa incidenza di frutti deformati. FRUTTO di grossa pezzatura, forma conica, molto regolare, di
colore rosso intenso, molto brillante. POLPA di colore rosso, molto consistente, superficie
resistente, molto dolce. Viene consigliato l’utilizzo di piante frigoconservate. Si adatta bene
sia alla coltura in suolo sia fuori suolo.

Kräftige PFLANZE mit äußerst guter Fähigkeit, erneut zu erblühen. Dadurch liefert
diese Sorte einen beachtlichen Ertrag. Die FRÜCHTE sind groß, kegelförmig und
sehr gleichmäßig. Hellrote und sehr glänzende Früchte, auch in der wärmsten Sommerzeit.
Das FRUCHTFLEISCH ist hellrot, von mittlerer Konsistenz, mit resistenter Oberfläche und
von durchschnittlicher Qualität. Hohes “Shelf-Life”. Es empfehlt sich die Verwendung von
Frigopflanzen für den Anbau im Frühling und von getopften Grünpflanzen für den Sommer
(Ende August – September). Geeignet für Bodenanbau sowie für Substratkulturen.

Varietà autoctona della zona di Albenga (Liguria) caratteristica per il colore violetto intenso delle brattee. I
turioni sono molto grossi e di colore viola intenso, uniforme
che sfuma scendendo verso la base.
Al palato si rivela morbido, burroso, privo di fibrosità, di
sapore eccellente. L’epoca di raccolta è tardiva. La pianta
è sensibile alla ruggine, stemfiliosi e
fusariosi.
La produttività non
è paragonabile agli
ibridi attuali. Può
essere coltivato sia
in pieno campo
che sotto tunnel.

violette Farbe der Köpfe. Die Stangen sind sehr groß
und violett, die Farbe wird etwas heller am Fuß.
Der Geschmack ist ausgezeichnet: sehr sanft und mit wenigen Fasern. Späte Erntezeit. Die Pflanze ist anfällig für Rost,
Stemphylium und Fusarium. Das Ertragspotential ist nicht
mit den aktuellen Hybriden vergleichbar. Für Freiland-Kultur

caldo secco.

consegna delle piante; 4) GARANZIA DI ATTECHIMENTO: Il Coviro non garantisce l’attechimento delle piante, dipendendo da fattori dallo stesso non controllabili; 5) PAGAMENTI: i pagamenti dovranno essere eseguiti al domicilio del Coviro entro 30 (trenta) giorni dalla consegna della merce, salvo diversa pattuizione, e secondo le modalità stabilite; sugli eventuali ritardi verranno applicati gli interessi di mora di cui all’art. 5 del d.lgs. 231/2002; 6) RECLAMI: eventuali reclami e/o contestazioni circa la qualità della merce dovranno essere effettuati
al Coviro contestualmente al ricevimento della merce. In caso contrario, la merce si intende accettata alla consegna; in ogni caso, il Coviro non prenderà in considerazione il reclamo o la contestazione se l’acquirente non avrà conservato i cartellini comprovanti la varietà e la
provenienza della merce; 7) LIMITAZIONE DEL RISARCIMENTO: qualora siano stati accertati vizi e/o difetti della merce imputabili al Coviro, l’importo richiesto dall’acquirente a titolo di risarcimento del danno non potrà, in ogni caso, superare il valore della merce consegnata;
8) VARIETA’ PROTETTE: tutte le varietà protette da brevetto e/o marchio registrato poste in vendita dal Coviro non possono essere né moltiplicate né vendute senza previa autorizzazione scritta di quest’ultimo. Pertanto, l’acquirente, con la sottoscrizione del presente documento,
si impegna ad utilizzare le piante acquistate dal Coviro esclusivamente per il proprio impianto, a non moltiplicare, a non cedere a terzi, per qualsiasi titolo o ragione stoloni o parti di piante; 9) FORO COMPETENTE: per tutte le controversie che dovessero eventualmente sorgere
in merito all’interpretazione e/o all’esecuzione del presente documento sarà competente, in via esclusiva, il Foro di Ravenna, qualunque sia il luogo di vendita, di consegna o di pagamento della merce.

not guarantee plants rooting, hence it depends on circumstances beyond sb’s control. 5) PAYMENT: Payments has to be made at Coviro’s within 30 (thirty) days from delivery of goods, except for what previously agreed. Possible delays will be subjected to fee as article 5 Italian
law 231/2002. 6) CLAIMS: Possible claims about quality of goods ha sto be done at Coviro’s once received the goods. In other case, Coviro considers the acceptance of goods. In any case, Coviro will not consider the claim if the client do not keep the card which certify the
provenience and variety of goods. 7) LIMITATION OF REFUND: If deficiencies of goods are attributed to Coviro, the required refund for reimbursement will never exceed the total price of goods. 8) PROTECTED VARIETIES: Every variety is under patent right, registered Coviro.
The varieties cannot be breed nor sold without previous permission. Every customer must guarantee that the using of plants will be limited to his soil and that he will not breed nor sell or give away stolon or plants. 9) COURT: For every controversy about the understanding or
the execution of this document there exclusively will be Ravenna’s court, whether it will be the destination of goods.
ALLGEMEINE GESCHÄFTSBEDINGUNGEN:
1) PREISE: Die Preise verstehen sich frei ab Werk, ohne Mehrwertsteuer; 2) LIEFERZEIT: Die Lieferzeit ist vom Wetter abhängig und kann sich jederzeit ändern, die angegebene Lieferzeit ist nur approximativ; 3) HÖHERE GEWALT: Naturereignisse wie z.B. Hagelschauer und Frost, Pflanzenkrankheiten, Probleme bei der Frigo-Konservierung, die unabhängig von Coviro sind, oder andere unvorhersehbaren Ursachen, welche die normale Ernte verhindern, sollten als „höhere Gewalt“ betrachtet werden. In solchen Fäll ist Coviro von
jeder Lieferungspflicht befreit; 4) GARANTIE DES EINWURZELNS: Coviro kann nicht garantieren, dass die Pflanzen einwurzeln, denn dies ist von unkontrollierbaren Faktoren abhängig; 5) ZAHLUNGEN: Die Zahlungen müssen bei Coviro innerhalb 30 (dreißig) Tagen von der
Lieferung eingehen, außer wenn anders vereinbart und nach der vereinbarten Zahlungsmethode; bei Zahlungsverspätungen werden Zinsen berechnet gemäß Art. 5 Rechtsverordnung 231/2002; 6) BESCHWERDE: eventuelle Beschwerde und/oder Bestreitungen sollen bei
Coviro gleichzeitig mit Annahme der Lieferung vorgelegt werden, sonst werden die Waren als angenommen verstanden; jedenfalls wird Coviro keine Beschwerde berücksichtigen, wenn der Kunde keine Etiketten mit Angabe der Sorte und Herkunft der Waren aufbewahrt
hat; 7) EINSCHRÄNKUNG DER ENTSCHÄDIGUNG: im Fall der Feststellung von Mängeln oder Defekten der Waren, die von Coviro abhängig sind, kann die vom Kunden verlangte Entschädigung nicht höher als der Wert der gelieferten Waren sein; 8) GESCHÜTZE SORTEN: alle Sorten, die durch ein Patent oder eine eingetragene Marke registriert sind und von Coviro verkauft werden, dürfen nicht vervielfältigt oder verkauft werden, ohne vorherige schriftliche Erlaubnis von Coviro. Daher verpflichtet sich der Kunde beim Unterschreiben
dieser Unterlage dazu, die vom Coviro gekauften Pflanzen nur für die eigene Anbau zu verwenden und diese Pflanzen, Teile oder Ausläufer dieser Pflanzen nicht zu vervielfältigen oder an Dritten zu geben; 9) ZUSTÄNDIGER GERICHTSHOF: für alle Streitfälle, welche die
Interpretation oder Durchführung dieses Dokuments betreffen, ist ausschließlich der Gerichtshof in Ravenna zuständig, unabhängig von dem Ort des Verkaufs, der Lieferung oder der Zahlung der Waren.
