After- School Program (AGs) UPDATE
Fencing Demonstration
We are thrilled to offer a fencing demonstration for all 2-5 graders on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at
2:15. This demonstration will be presented by the Sheridan Fencing Academy and take place in the
GISNY Gym. If your child is interested in participating, please sign up via the sign up genius link.

Please indicate how your child will get home after the demonstration at 3:45pm.
Should your child be part of an AG on this day, please inform the AG teacher of your child’s absence.

Diese Vorführung wird in der GISNY Sporthalle für die Klassen 2-6 stattfinden und von der Sheridan
Fencing Academy durchgeführt werden.

Kind nach der Präsentation um 15:45 nach Hause kommen wird.

Toy Design
We are happy to announce that we will be able to offer a new workshop "Toy Design" offered by
"Scribble" after the Easter Break.
This new AG for grades 1-2 will continue on Wednesdays from 2:15-3:45.
Please sign your child up via the Sign-Up Genius link on the GISNY website (after-school program) and
hand in your completed registration (link) form and check to the front office.
Sign-up will open on Thursday, March 17 at 6pm.
Reminder: The AG Sculpture for grades 1-2 offered by Scribble Art Workshop will have its last session on
Wednesday, March 23, 2016.
Die von Scribble Art Workshop angebotene AG Sculpture für die Klassen 1-2 wird am Mittwoch, den
23.3.2016 zum letzten Mal stattfinden.
Wir freuen uns, dass wir nach den Osterferien eine neue AG "Toy Design" von der Firma Scribble für die
Klassen 1-2 anbieten können.
Diese AG wird wieder Mittwochs von 2:15-3:45 stattfinden.

Scholastic Book Fair
Many thanks for your support of the Scholastic
Book Fair last week! I am grateful to all the
wonderful student and parent volunteers, as well
as colleagues, who helped it run so smoothly. We
had fun with the "Feelin' Groovy" theme and
collected $134 in coins/dollar contributions, which
will be used to buy books for local families in need.
Also, for every dollar spent at the book fair, our
school earns Scholastic Dollars, which we will use
to enlarge the English department's library.

being part of our School Community. Currently, we are looking for someone to lead the Arts & Crafts
Team, which organizes the Arts & Crafts Fair held each year around November.
