Welcome to the first issue of MASA's Promotions, Competitions and Sponsorship News!
The Promotions, Competitions and Sponsorship Team (PCS Team) was established several months ago to
coordinate all the competitions running throughout MASA and it's member societies - from local raffles and
competitions, to national competitions run on the RTAW Forum.
A huge thank you must go out to each of the PCS team members - they have really been working hard over
the past couple of months on fine-tuning the existing competitions, as well as coming up with lots of exciting
new ideas. Thanks also to team member Jozlyn for putting this fantastic newsletter together.
We hope you enjoy reading about some of the activities that ran throughout 2007, and their winners. Stay
tuned in 2008 for even more exciting competitions & prizes!

Tank of the Year (TOTY) 2007
The best tank for 2007 was recently voted for by MASx members. The candidates were the 12 winners of Tank of
the Month 2007, who were also members of their local MAS. Tanks were voted on as they were at the time of their win.
1st Prize
A Pent air pump skimmer of the winner’s choice to the value of $800 retail from Reef Octopus
Plus space in the Reef Culture magazine to have a full write up on the tank and owner for Tank of the Year
2nd Prize
An Aqueevan ES-700 skimmer valued at $409 from TrulyFish
3rd Prize
A $300 gift voucher to be used online or in store from The Age of Aquariums

With a stunning tank that was setup in 2003, making it probably the oldest of the tanks in the nominations, the winner is the
