Grußwort des Ministers für Inneres und
Kommunales des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen,
Ralf Jäger MdL, zum IPA-Freundschaftstreffen
im Juli/August 2012 in Selm
Liebe Leserinnen, liebe Leser,
„Wahre Freundschaft ist eine sehr langsam
wachsende Pflanze“ (... George Washington).
Die IPA kann mit Stolz auf eine Vielzahl bisher gewachsener Freundschaften blicken. Das von Ihnen gepflanzte Sinnbild des „IPA-Waldes“
verdeutlicht sehr plastisch das stete Wachstum Ihrer Freundschaft und
deren Bedeutung.
Wir feiern in diesem Jahr das IV. Internationale IPA-Freundschaftstreffen, zu dem Polizeibeamtinnen und Polizeibeamte aus 63 Ländern
dieser Welt eingeladen sind. Immer wieder wird mir von internationalen
Kontakten der IPA-Mitglieder berichtet, die sich durch eine Verbundenheit auszeichnen, die weit über das Maß der rein dienstlichen Zusammenarbeit hinausgehen. Vor dem Hintergrund der globalen Vernetzung
gewinnt erfolgreiche internationale Zusammenarbeit zunehmend an
Bedeutung. Neben allen erforderlichen fachlichen Fähigkeiten trägt
auch das Verständnis für fremde Kulturen entscheidend zu erfolgreicher Zusammenarbeit bei.
Die IPA leistet durch ihr breites Seminarangebot insbesondere im
internationalen Informations- und Bildungszentrum Schloss Gimborn
und durch die intensive Pflege von internationalen Kontakten einen
wichtigen Beitrag zum Verständnis verschiedener, manchmal sogar
fremder Kulturen.
Es freut mich, dass Sie dieses Treffen auch 2012 wieder in der Liegenschaft des LAFP in Selm begehen. Ich wünsche Ihnen auch künftig ein
erfolgreiches Wachstum Ihrer internationalen Freundschaft.

Dear Reader,
„True friendship is a plant of slow growth“
(... George Washington).
It is with pride that the IPA can look back on a great number of friendships grown until today. Your ‚planted' symbol of the „IPA-Forest“
illustrates the growing friendship and its significance.
This year we are going to celebrate the IV International IPA FriendshipWeek police officers and police women from 63 countries are invited
to. Again and again I hear about the international contacts of IPAmembers which are marked by a solidarity going far beyond any
official business. In times of globalization and global networks, international collaboration gains in importance.
Apart from all the professional skills we cannot do without, the understanding of different and even foreign cultures contributes to a successful cooperation.
The IPA, especially the IBZ Gimborn and the variety of seminars
offered there, makes a substantial contribution to the maintenance of
international liaisons of different and sometimes even foreign cultures.
Pleased that the meeting will take place on the premises of the LAFP
in Selm again, I wish you a successful growth of your international
friendship in the future.

ich grüße Sie im Namen der International Police
Association (IPA) Deutsche Sektion e.V. und
freue mich mit Ihnen auf das Freundschaftstreffen
in Selm-Bork im Jahre 2012, welches von der
dortigen Verbindungsstelle ausgerichtet wird. Die
Verantwortlichen der IPA Selm-Bork um Konrad
Bröker sind in Verbindung mit der Unterstützung des Behördenleiters
des LAFP NRW, dem IPA-Freund Dieter Schmidt, ein unschlagbares
Organisationsteam und Garanten für erstklassige IPA-Veranstaltungen.
Das kann man mit Fug und Recht behaupten! So wird man beim
neuerlichen Freundschaftstreffen sicherlich wieder die eine oder
andere IPA-Freundschaft verfestigen oder aber auch neue hinzugewinnen können. Ich jedenfalls bin überzeugt, dass es eine gelungene
Veranstaltung werden wird.

On behalf of the German IPA Section I welcome you here in Selm-Bork
and I am looking forward to the meeting in 2012 which will be organized by the Branch Selm-Bork. Konrad Bröker and his team are
supported by the director of the LAFP NRW, Dieter Schmidt, who
himself is a great IPA-friend. It is true to say that all events and activities arranged by the team are organized in a very professional way.
On the occasion of this meeting it is most likely that some friendships
will be strengthened and others founded. I am certain that the next
event in 2012 will be a great success.

mit dem nun 4. Internationalen Freundschaftstreffen
in Selm-Bork hat sich ja schon nahezu eine „Tradition“ entwickelt. Das internationale Freundschaftstreffen in Selm-Bork führt viele Gäste aus den unterschiedlichsten Ländern zusammen und ermöglicht
allen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern einen regen
Gedankenaustausch, das Kennenlernen verschiedener Kulturen sowie die Möglichkeit, weitere Freundschaften zu schließen. Ich freue mich darauf, das
auch ich neben anderen IPA-Mitgliedern der IPA-Landesgruppe Nordrhein-Westfalen viele internationale Gäste und IPA -Freundinnen und IPAFreunde treffen und mit ihnen schöne Stunden verbringen kann.
Ich möchte an dieser Stelle im Namen des Landesgruppenvorstandes der
IPA Landesgruppe Nordrhein-Westfalen der IPA Verbindungsstelle Bork

The IV International Friendship-Week shows that this meeting has almost
become a tradition. The international meeting in Selm-Bork brings
together many people from different countries. It provides the opportunity
to exchange ideas, to get to know different cultures and to create new
friendships. I myself am looking forward to having a nice time with members from different local and regional IPA-Branches as well as many
international guests.
On behalf of the Regional Committee North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) I
would like to thank the IPA Branch Bork and its great number of active
members for organizing this event. Such plans can only be put into
practice because of their – the members' - extraordinary commitment.
The IPA Bork can be certain that the IPA Regional Committee NRW will

angeregt durch das Treffen vieler IPA-Freundinnen
und IPA-Freunde während der Europäischen Polizeimeisterschaft im Fußball im Sommer 2006 haben wir
als IPA-Verbindungsstelle Bork e.V. bisher zwei
weitere Treffen folgen lassen, so dass wir im Jahr
2012 zum IV. Internationalen Freundschaftstreffen
nach Selm-Bork einladen. So wie wir gerne auf die
erfolgreichen und von Verbundenheit und Harmonie
geprägten Freundschaftstreffen zurück blicken, so
sehr freuen wir uns auf die bevorstehende Zusammenkunft mit IPAFreundinnen und IPA-Freunden aus Nah und Fern.

The IPA Bork …
is one of the oldest local branches of the International Police
Association in Germany comprising about 550 members and is
thus of medium size,
wants to offer to the whole police staff - regardless of rank,
age and class, occasions to meet informally for leisure activities,
parties etc.,
wishes to encourage them to see beyond their own nose, i.e. to
make new experiences by getting into contact with colleagues
working in other departments in Bork, on study trips or by means
of (inter)national contacts,
aims at using the excellent conditions and equipment of the
North Rhine-Westphalia State office for Initial and Further Police
Training and Human Resources (LAFP NRW) to create and main
tain informal bonds of friendship.

Liebe IPA-Freundinnen und IPA-Freunde,
die IPA Verbindungsstelle Bork e. V. gehört zur Landesgruppe Nordrhein-Westfalen in der Sektion Deutschland. Wir haben unseren Sitz
im Landesamt für Ausbildung, Fortbildung und Personalangelegenheiten der Polizei des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (LAFP NRW) und sind
eine der ältesten Verbindungsstellen der Deutschen Sektion mit derzeit
über 550 Mitgliedern.
Zum vierten Mal laden wir IPA-Freundinnen und IPA-Freunde nach
Selm-Bork ein. Unser Motto lautet „Zeit, um Freunde zu treffen.“ Zu
allen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern der vergangenen Freundschaftstreffen verbindet uns immer noch die Freundschaft mit ständigem Kontakt.
Es stehen insgesamt rund 300 Zimmer mit annähernd 500 Betten mit
gutem Hotelstandard zur Verfügung. Diese Zimmer sind als Einzel-,
Doppel- oder auch als Familienzimmer nutzbar. Die Verpflegung erfolgt
in der Kantine des LAFP NRW.

Dear IPA-Friends,
The IPA Branch Bork e.V. belongs to the Regional Committee of the
Land North Rhine-Westphalia which is part of the IPA-Section Germany. We are housed in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for
Initial and Further Police Training and Human Resources (LAFP NRW).
It is one of the oldest groups of the German Section with more then
550 members.
It is for the fourth time that we are inviting IPA-friends to come to SelmBork. Our motto is „Time to meet friends“. Regular contacts allow us to
maintain the bond of friendship with former participants.
About 300 guest rooms / 500 beds (hotel standard) are available. They
can be used as single, double and family rooms. Catering will be
supplied by the canteen.
