Den größtmöglichen Tieferlegungsbereich bieten die KW Street Performance Gewindefahrwerke, die in der Edelstahltechnologie „inox-line“ gefertigt und in drei Dämpfungsvarianten
angeboten werden: Variante 1 ab Werk in der Dämpfercharakteristik sportlich-harmonisch
abgestimmt. Variante 2 bietet dem versierten Sportfahrer die Möglichkeit, neben der individuellen Tieferlegung, durch die verstellbare Zugstufendämpfung das Nick- und Wankverhalten seines Automobils zu beeinflussen. Variante 3 erlaubt ein unabhängig voneinander in
Zug- und Druckstufe konfigurierbares Dämpfer-Setup für die perfekte Fahrzeugabstimmung.

KW Street Performance coilover kits – perfect lowering and performance.
The maximum range of lowering offer the KW Street Performance coilover kits, which
are made in stainless steel technology „inox-line“, and are available in three damping variants: Variant 1 factory adjusted in sporty-harmonic damper characteristic.
Variant 2 offers the experienced sport driver the possibility besides the individual
lowering to influence the pitch and roll behaviour of his automobile with the adjust
able rebound damping. Variant 3 allows an independent from each other, in rebound
and compression configurable damper setup for the perfect vehicle adaption.

us einem kleinen Team von drei Mitarbeitern auf 150 qm Betriebsfläche wurde ein international operierender Konzern für innovative Fahrwerkssysteme. KW beschäftigt heute über 220 Mitarbeiter an mehreren
Standorten weltweit. Das Headquarter verfügt über eine Betriebsfläche
von 23.000 qm. Das Lieferprogramm umfasst im Jahr 2012 mehr als 4.600
Anwendungen. Die zahlreichen Bauabschnitte haben eines der modernsten Fertigungszentren in Europa für innovative Fahrwerkslösungen
geschaffen. Am Hauptstandort Fichtenberg konzentrieren sich Entwicklung, Fertigung, Vertrieb und Logistik. Kurze Wege, optimale Abläufe und
modernste Strukturen garantieren eine hohe Flexibilität und Zuverlässigkeit.

hat started out as a small team of three employees working on a
plant area of 150 sqm is today an internationally operative group
of companies for innovative suspension systems. KW today employs more
than 220 employees at several subsidiaries worldwide. The headquarters
has a plant area exceeding 23.000 sqm. In 2012, the delivery programme
covers more than 4.600 applications. Many construction steps made KW
to one of the most modern production centres for innovative suspension

am Hauptstandort Fichtenberg ist die Forschung und Entwicklung. Mehr
als 18 Mitarbeiter beschäftigen sich permanent mit neuen Fahrwerks- und
Dämpfersystemen sowie der kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung bestehender Produkte. Alle Komponenten durchlaufen eine Anzahl von umfangreichen Tests, um den höchsten Qualitätsansprüchen gerecht zu werden. 2006
wurde ein hochmoderner hydraulischer 7post rig in Betrieb genommen. Damit eröffnen sich ungeahnte Testmöglichkeiten für Anwendungen im Motorsport und in der Automobilindustrie. Die eigene Fertigung auf modernen
CNC-Bearbeitungszentren ermöglicht eine hohe Fertigungstiefe und stellt
sicher, dass wir auf die Anforderungen unserer Kunden schnell und flexibel
reagieren können. Zur Montage unserer Produkte stehen uns verschiedene
Montagestationen und Teams zur Verfügung, um allen Anforderungen des
Marktes gerecht zu werden. Vom Prototypenmuster bis hin zu kleinen und
mittleren Serien kann somit alles schnell und marktgerecht gefertigt werden.
Die einzelnen Abteilungen sind optimal miteinander vernetzt und garantieren somit ein Höchstmaß an Effektivität. Alle wesentlichen Entwicklungsschritte finden am Hauptstandort in Fichtenberg statt.

the highest quality standards. In 2006 an ultra-modern 7post rig has been installed. KW now utilizes this leading edge technology to design and test KW’s
performance street line of coilovers in a controlled environment. Outfit with
the latest in CNC manufacturing equipment, our in-house manufacturing
facilities offer our customers fast and flexible service that guarantee results.
Product assembly is coordinated across individual specialty stations where
our experienced team members ensure the highest industry standards are
followed. From prototypes to series line production, our assembly team reacts quickly and efficiently to meet our customers needs. All departments
are working hand-in-hand, thus guaranteeing a maximum of efficiency. All
important R&D processes are managed in the German headquarters.

KW betreibt als einziger Fahrwerkshersteller in Deutschland einen 7-Stempel Fahrdynamikprüfstand zur Fahrwerksentwicklung.
D
er hochmoderne servotest® Fahrdynamik-Prüfstand am Hauptstandort der KW
automotive GmbH im schwäbischen Fichtenberg bietet eine optimale Analyse
der Vertikaldynamik eines Fahrzeuges und ermöglicht objektive Testmöglichkeiten für
Anwendungen in der Automobilindustrie und im Motorsport. Weltweit ist dieser hydraulische Fahrdynamik Prüfstand lediglich 15-mal im Einsatz und wird überwiegend
von Formel 1-Teams für deren Forschung und Entwicklung genutzt. Die KW automotive GmbH nutzt den 7post Fahrdynamik-Prüfstand zur Entwicklung und Optimierung
von KW Straßen- und Rennsportprodukten, sowie zur Unterstützung für Industrie- und
Motorsportkunden. Durch die witterungsunabhängigen und jederzeit reproduzierbaren Bedingungen ergeben sich einzigartige Analysemöglichkeiten mit objektivem
Messergebnissen. Unter anderem können Rennstreckenverläufe und Straßenprofile
oder Frequenzdurchläufe simuliert werden, ohne das Fahrzeug dem Verschleiß eines
gewöhnlichen Fahrbetriebs auszusetzen. Der 7post Fahrdynamik-Prüfstand besteht
aus sieben Hydraulikstempeln – vier Hauptaktuatoren für die Räder und drei Stempel,
die bei Bedarf die Aerolasten und Rollmomente des Aufbaus kontrollieren. Zusätzlich stehen Luftfedern für die Simulation von konstanten Aerolasten zur Verfügung.
Die gesamte Testanlage steht auf einem 60t. schweren Schwingfundament, das auf
Federn gelagert und vom Gebäude entkoppelt ist. Die fortlaufende Dokumentation
aller Messungen und eine Datenauswertung mit Matlab® und MS Excel® ermöglichen die schnelle Analyse aller gewonnenen Erkenntnisse (Aufbaubewegung, Aufbaufrequenz, Radlastschwankung, dynamisches Fahrzeugniveau, Dämpfungsmaß,
Einflüsse verschiedener Reifentypen- und Steifigkeiten). In der angeschlossenen Rennsportabteilung sind sofortige Änderungen der Dämpferbestückung möglich, um die
Charakteristik an die Gesamtsteifigkeit des geprüften Fahrzeuges anzupassen.

T
he advanced servotest® vehicle dynamics test rig at KW automotive GmbH in Fichtenberg offers the best analysis of vertical dynamics of vehicles and provides objective test possibilities for applications in the automobile industry and in motor sports.
This hydraulic vehicle dynamic test rig and been used 15 times by formula one teams
for their research and development. KW automotive GmbH is using the 7-post rig for
development and optimization of KW street and racing products, and to support the
industry and motor sport customers. We are able to replicate both dry and wet weather conditions gaining unique analysis possibilities with objective measurement results. For example race track courses and road profiles or frequency cycles can be simulated, without exposing the vehicle to the expense of normal testing at the track or
on the road. The 7-post rig consists of seven hydraulic actuators - four main actuators
for the wheels and three actuators which control the aero loads and rolling moments
of the chassis. In addition, air springs are available for the simulation of steady aero
loads. The entire test facility is standing on a 60 ton seismic mass, which is mounted
on springs and decoupled from the building. The continuous documentation of all
measurements and a data analysis with Matlab® and MS Excel® enables the quick
analysis of all gained knowledge (body movement, body frequency, contact patch
load variations, dynamic ride height, damping, effects of different types of tires and
stiffness). We are able to implement damper adjustments, damper and spring changes immediately with our race technicians who are based on site.

Racing kits 2A (2-way adjustable)
Unser 2-fach verstellbarer Renndämpfer basiert auf dem Zweirohrdämpfungsprinzip. Die Zug- und Druckstufenkräfte können unabhängig voneinander jeweils am Kolbenstangenende bzw. am Gehäuseboden eingestellt werden. Dieses Dämpfersystem ermöglicht es,
Rennfahrzeuge, Eigenbauten, Exoten, Kitcars oder Youngtimer mit einem hochwertigen Dämpfungssystem nach Maß auszustatten.
Bauartbedingt ist der Einbau der Zwei-Rohr-Technik bei nach unten gerichtetem Dämpfergehäuse bis zu einer Dämpferneigung von 45°
möglich. Bei größeren Neigungen sowie horizontalem Einbau werden zusätzlich gasbefüllte Ausgleichsbehälter verwendet.
Our KW 2-way adjustable shock absorber is based on the twin tube damping design. The rebound and compression damping is
independently adjustable at the end of the piston rod and the lower end of the damper housing. The KW 2-way damping system
enables us to equip race cars, prototype cars, and exotic custom cars with a high-class, custom-made damping solution. Our KW
2-way dampers can be installed with a maximum inclination of 45°. Remote reservoirs filled with gas are used for inclination or horizontal mounting.

ehr als 3.300 Gewindefahrwerksanwendungen sind für nahezu alle
Fahrzeugtypen erhältlich. KW Gewindefahrwerke sind in unterschiedlichen Varianten lieferbar – je nach Anspruch und Einsatz. Eine perfekte Performance in Verbindung mit der individuell gewünschten Tieferlegung war
der Ursprung für die Entwicklung der KW Gewindefahrwerke. Innovative
Lösungen, unzählige Versuchsreihen, mehrere hunderttausend Testkilometer, CAD Konstruktionen, Prüfläufe und permanente Weiterentwicklungen
haben aus einer Idee einen der größten Hersteller für anspruchsvolle Fahr-
werkslösungen werden lassen. Ein KW Gewindefahrwerk aus der Produktion
2012 ist dabei in fast keinem Bauteil mehr mit einem KW Gewindefahrwerk
