INFORMATION FOR ENTRY/BUSINESS VISA

Business entry visa is required for business purposes for all period of stay in Myanmar. Normally, a
business visa is issued for staying 70 days (10 weeks). This type of visa can be extended in Myanmar for a
longer period. Business visa is also given for a period of staying of 6 or 12 months. Business visas for 6 or
12 months are multiple-entry visas. The following is needed:

Original passport (no copy!) still valid for 6 months at least.
Two application forms for business visa.
Two passport photos: Please glue (no clips, no staples) one photo yourself on each of the two
forms.
Sponsor letter (written in English) of the applicant's employer or from a business partner in
Myanmar stating the purpose of the visit and approximate period of stay. For multiple-entry
visa, two sponsor letters, one from the applicant's employer and one from the Myanmar
business partner are required.
Visa fee has to be paid in advance by bank transfer (preferred), by cheque, or in cash. Visa fee
amounts 35 Euro for 10 weeks, 80 Euro for 6 months, and 160 Euro for 12 months.
Self-addressed return envelope with German stamps or postage for registered letter. For
international mailings enclose a postage fee of 10 Euro minimum in cash (cheque and bank
transfer are not accepted).
International coupons for postage fee and Austrian Euro stamps are not accepted.
Send your documents altogether also in case of many applications (preferably as register letter, but NOT
as “to addressee only”!). Business visa is valid for an entry-period of 3 months beginning with the date of
issue. Date of issue is determined by the time of application. Please consider that time for processing visa
is 2 to 3 weeks after receipt of application. Application forms must be filled out completely in English.

Geschäftliche Tätigkeiten von Ausländern in Myanmar bedürfen eines Businessvisums. Dieses wird in der
Regel für einen Zeitraum von 70 Tagen (10 Wochen) ausgestellt; es ist jedoch möglich eine Verlängerung
in Myanmar zu beanstragen. Businessvisa werden auch mit mehfacher Einreisemöglichkeit (multi-entry
visa) vergeben, die eine Gültigkeit von 6 oder 12 Monaten besitzen. Die folgenden Unterlagen werden
benötigt:

Zwei Antragsformulare
Zwei Passfotos: Kleben Sie bitte selbst ein Foto auf jeweils eines der Formulare (keine
Klammern!)
Ein Brief (in Englisch verfasst) des Arbeitgebers oder des Geschäftspartners in Myanmar.
Darin werden Grund des Besuchs und Dauer des Aufenthalts angegeben. Für multi-entry Visa
werden beide Dokumente gefordert.
Visumsgebühren werden per Banküberweisung (vorzugsweise), per Checks oder bar im
Voraus bezahlt. Die Gebühren betragen 35 Euro, 80 Euro und 160 Euro für jeweils10 Wochen,
6 Monate und 12 Monate.
Ein frankierter (nur mit deutschen Briefmarken!) Rückumschlag für Einschreibesendungen. Für
Sendungen von außerhalb müssen Sie eine Postgebühr von mindestens 10 Euro in bar
beilegen (Schecks und Überweisungen werden nicht akzeptiert!).
Internationale Antwortscheine und österreichische Briefmarken werden von der
Deutschen Post nicht angenommen.
Schicken Sie bitte alle Unterlagen zusammen, auch für mehrere Personen, am besten als Einschreiben;
bitte aber NICHT als „eigenhändig“! Das Visum ist zur Einreise ab Ausstellungsdatum drei Monate gültig.
Das Ausstellungsdatum wird vom Datum der Antragsstellung bestimmt. Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die
Bearbeitungszeit nach Eingang des Antragsstellung 2 bis 3 Wochen beträgt. Wir bitten, alle Formulare in
Englisch vollständig auszufüllen.
