FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2011 Dedication Ceremony: A dedication ceremony for the Joe Namath Practice Field at Big Beaver Falls Area High School will take place at approximately 1:30 PM. A school pep rally for the Big Beaver Falls vs. Aliquippa football game will be held directly following the ceremony. Pre-­‐Game Honoree Reception and Half Time Honoree Presentation: The Larry Bruno Foundation will host a pre-­‐game reception for the 1960 and 1961 football team members that will be honored at the evening football game between Big Beaver Falls and Aliquippa. The team members will be recognized during half time by the Larry Bruno Foundation in celebration of the two undefeated teams from the 1960 and 1961 Big Beaver Falls High School football seasons. Team members will gather on the football field at half time and will be introduced by the honorable Judge Rick Mancini, former Beaver Falls football coach and player. He will tell the story of the undefeated seasons by introducing and honoring the teams and players in attendance. Judge Mancini will also honor prominent sports figures in Beaver Falls history, including Joe Namath, Jim ‘Bucky’ Mutscheller and others to be determined. Their history and contributions made to local and national sports will be on display at the inaugural and permanent displays at the Larry Bruno Foundation Hall of Achievement located in the Beaver Falls Free Carnegie Library. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2011 Larry Bruno Foundation Hall of Achievement: The Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls will welcome attendees and share their future plans for restoration and programs to be held at the library. An inaugural ceremony will be held to honor representatives from the 1960 and 1961 Big Beaver Falls football teams as well as Joe Namath and Jim Mutscheller. Joe Namath will present a Super Bowl book, which he is donating to the Hall of Achievement. In addition, the Pro Football Hall of Fame will unveil a historical plaque to be displayed by the Larry Bruno Foundation. Mind Mayor Boak of Beaver Falls and Representative Marshall will be in attendance to speak honorary proclamations to the honorees. Celebration of Honorees: The Larry Bruno Foundation is planning to host a celebration and gathering from 6:00 – 9:30 PM at the Seven Oaks Country Club for friends, family and fans to celebrate the teams and honorees. Cocktails will be served from 6:00 – 7:00 PM with dinner following from 7:00 – 9:30 PM. A maximum of 350 tickets will be available to attend the celebration. Babe Parelli, former Rochester graduate and New York Jets team member, will be a guest speaker to recount his memories of Joe Namath and Jim Mutschller. Entertainment and evening activities will be provided, including a sports memorabilia auction, with donations from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Joe Namath signed helmets.
